Masculinity and femininity are subjective. Just saying. Meaning in one place what is described as feminine can in fact be seen as masculine. Grooming (haircuts/etc) would be seen as a feminine act in many parts, yet we do it almost daily, weekly or monthly. Or you can be a guy, not into sports, and be labeled as you’re not “manly” which is absolute nonsense… Or reverse a girl playing sports is manly. Hence why today whenever a girl has even a little bit of muscles, transphobes will cry they are trans… Happened in the Olympics for example.
Point is, don’t feel like you need to fit into a specific group or category. Everything in life is a spectrum. You can like sports, but not play it. Etc.

You're projecting your thoughts onto everyone. Be who you want to be, thats fine. Theres definitely a commin trend in videos with people like you who project this and blame it on "society".
Labels are hard to avoid. Accepting yourself and feeling comfortable in your skin takes time. Maturing in both body and mind takes time. You have more testosterone flooding your body now than you have ever or will ever have~. Isn’t this the typical realization of most young men?
This whole video honestly made me feel more and more sad at the state of things. You are entitled to your opinion, but I find it absolutely abhorrent personally to embrace traditional gender roles, especially in a modern world. You mentioned that “200 years ago, men were the ones on top of things.” 200 years ago, women had no voice, no power and weren’t allowed to have a sense of belonging or purpose that was outside of what the man of the house needed. Women couldn’t vote, and their roles were strictly to serve the man, watch the children, and do other things while stuck in the home. This idea that women men need to get back to a more “masculine” time is just so painful to hear in an era where women are gaining more power and control, while having to fight for their ability to even have children or not, and it’s incredibly difficult to watch happen. You’re part of a young generation, why would you insist on wanting to be more masculine and express a desire to go back to a time where the man’s needs and desires came first? Women are strong and wonderful and amazing people, and their ability to handle a workload and still provide for their families is absolutely incredible. I work with a lot of women who show men every day that they’re strong and worthy of being seen as more than a pretty face.
Yea, I am not sure if I fully understood the video. By the title, I assumed it was about resembling a girl in a physical sense. When I was young and with my mom or grandma, people would comment on what a cute daughter or grand daughter I was. Yet, this vid was not about that. Was this about perceived societal pressure to be less masculine/ more feminine? This type of thought process.... I would assume, emanates from a very traditional or conservative religious environment. I grew up a long time ago when there was tremendous pressure to conform to the male stereotype. It wasn't good.
We are all unique in or own way. You are perfect as you are. Just pursue your dreams man. Whatever that will be. The rest of you falls into place naturally. If I may say, being here and sharing your thoughts is masculinity itself. "Trying" to be more masculine? Interesting issue. You mean like trying to walk like John Wayne? Lifting weights at a gym to show off to others? Owning a Harley hog? Riding a motorcycle without a helmet? Slapping a girlfriend's behind in front of others? I could go on. But I'll savor in the so far examples, lol. I try to find a humor in issues like this because believe me, I used to worry about what others thought abouut my mannerisms. But now, I could care less what others think. Someone that would be critical about me being myself is definitely the furthest from my best friend, lol. Everything about you I know of you from here is perfect, fine, admirable, impressive. Be you man! 👍😎
Nothing about him or anything he said even comes close to the ridiculous exaggerated examples of being masculine you ticked off. Nor did he focus on ways to change the way one is perceived. If you listen to him you'll realize he's talking about an interior state of being, he's expressing empathy for other males that are struggling internally because he knows how they feel. I’m not sure you’re using the most precise language. Are you trying to be more masculine, or are you trying to act more like an adult and feel like an adult? When you were young, did you feel weak and afraid and maybe you didn’t look like a man? Happens to all of us. I’m not sure that that means you looked or felt like a girl. I think that means that you were young. I also don’t think it needs to apply to other young men around you. How you feel is not necessarily how they feel. What if you aren’t trying to be more of a man but you’re trying to feel strong less afraid and in more control? There is a natural process all kids go through to become young men and grown adults. Are you blaming society for a not al natural progression? When you say traditional, do you mean religious or moral?

You are arbitrarily attributing behaviors as more masculine or feminine, while ignoring how it was for women not even 200 but 100 years ago in your comparison, i think you are right on the feeling that there is a lack of positive masculine presence in media and in some people's household that make them look for one that preys on that lack of masculine presence, but society still does that pressure to be more masculine thats why you feel the obligation to act more masculine, it is just mixed with the modern ideologies, so it creates this two "forces" that contradict each other and creates wierd toxic behavior like feeling emasculated by the success of the opposite gender or complaining about splitting the bill while being the more logic action? Idk i think is something to think about why it is that way, and what is the more logocal way of behaving in an advance society.
Never be embarrassed by the way you are. NEVER. Being Macho( masculine) has absolutely nothing to do with the way you look. It has to do with the way you act. Boys to Men being Macho are Honest. Valorous. Tolerant. Patient. Strong( Mentally, not necessarily physically), never have fear, are affectionate, kind and understanding. In that picture, you do NOT look like a girl at all. You just look like a very typical boy of your age. Do not let society tell you how to look. Big mistake. Just be yourself, and be PROUD of it. You mentioned the way that many young guys are becoming. The reason? Americas pro-female woke society is just ruining young American boys. Don't let this happen to you. In the Mexican countryside where I live, boys still rule( thank God), and we really don't have that kind of problem. Girls are girls. Boys are boys. And the others are others. And everybody get's along just fine. Never try to conform to society's vision of how you should be. Good video. Keep it up.
This whole video is really confusing... are you telling me there's now a social mandate to be more girly? Are you sure it's not the other way around and you're just now falling into that mandate?
Yeah, I think he was talking more about feeling like he had to look like a wimp, i.e. not threatening, because he was afraid of his own subconscious aggressive impulses.
How do you know how much of your behavior is influenced by social pressure? Its impossible to know unless you live in a bubble. I disagree with your assessment that you look like a girl in that pic. I don't see a girl. You look a bit uncomfortable but if your arms were around their shoulders you would appear much more confident. Worry more about being a good person rather than gender norms. Just my personal opinion.
I don't get what the belly aching is all about. Kids are tools when they are at that age. It's normal. Just be nice,...be kind... and don't give a flyin F**k what other people say!!
it seems like you are trying to be more masculine and thats awesome! lots of guys these days arent and, like you said, would rather play video games all day instead of work outside. people might get offended by this, but society is taking away masculinity in men, and pushing feminism like crazy. i think everyone should have a good work ethic, but, biologically, men are stronger than women. men should be out there working harder than the women. Jesus can help you be more confident and help you grow into the man God wants you to be. dont be ashamed with how you used to act or dress, but focus on the now. idk how old you are, but everyone goes through an awkward stage when they are younger and trying to figure things out. trust me, i used to be the most tomboyish girl you could ever meet, but now, as ive gotten older, i am very feminine (though i can probably outwork most guys lol). i thank God that He has helped me become who i am today, and i know he can help you on this journey, too!:)
The person we need to imitate is Jesus Christ. He is perfect and we are not. We may live in this world, but not of the world. We are called to be set apart. This world continues to decline and move away from God...We can't control the world, but we can control ourself. The world will continue to decline until Jesus comes back. We don't know who we are until we know whose we are aka a child of God. We are created by God for God. I ask how many times do you eat a day? Well shouldn't you read the word and pray just as much to maintain your spiritual health?

You just look like a very typical boy of your age. Do not let society tell you how to look. Big mistake. Just be yourself, and be PROUD of it. You mentioned the way that many young guys are becoming. The reason? Americas pro-female woke society is just ruining young American boys. Don't let this happen to you. In the Mexican countryside where I live, boys still rule( thank God), and we really don't have that kind of problem. Girls are girls. Boys are boys. And the others are others. And everybody get's along just fine. Never try to conform to society's vision of how you should be. Good video. Keep it up.
What a load of garbage
@@sjames1955 Yup, you must be one of those "woke females". lol
A buzzcut would help
FR
Do not get a buzz cut the hair style you have is good
This whole video is really confusing... are you telling me there's now a social mandate to be more girly? Are you sure it's not the other way around and you're just now falling into that mandate?
Very interesting idea. Thank you
Yeah, I think he was talking more about feeling like he had to look like a wimp, i.e. not threatening, because he was afraid of his own subconscious aggressive impulses.
It hasn't worked.🤷♂️🤣
How do you know how much of your behavior is influenced by social pressure? Its impossible to know unless you live in a bubble. I disagree with your assessment that you look like a girl in that pic. I don't see a girl. You look a bit uncomfortable but if your arms were around their shoulders you would appear much more confident. Worry more about being a good person rather than gender norms. Just my personal opinion.
Puberty sucks
Amen to that
Nice.
Acting … yep that’s the real problem
The person we need to imitate is Jesus Christ. He is perfect and we are not. We may live in this world, but not of the world. We are called to be set apart. This world continues to decline and move away from God...We can't control the world, but we can control ourself. The world will continue to decline until Jesus comes back. We don't know who we are until we know whose we are aka a child of God. We are created by God for God. I ask how many times do you eat a day? Well shouldn't you read the word and pray just as much to maintain your spiritual health?
Why aren't you imitating Jesus Christ?
Jesus would f-ing hate you!
Stop trying to convert people
@@teddyhawkins6256 I'll never stop spreading the Gospel Jesus Christ is life. It is through Him we have eternal life! He died for our sins! He's the only way to Heaven!
I just push the kush . it's God's work bruh.@@kylesmith4202
