I miss you Walt, i wish you could be alive so i could thank you how much you've done to me. Thank you for what you for what you've done for the entire world... sometimes i can't believe that there was people who said that you would fail as producer.. sometimes i can't even imagine that once, Disney was just a last name, and that you was just a person.. you're so much more then just a person... you're the god of animation now..

If I could meet someone from history, he'd be one of my choices. Such an amazing man, with an amazingly creative mind. R.I.P Walt Disney.

He was a dreamer. He never gave up no matter how many times he failed. He is an example of hard work and dedication. He could draw but he wasn't the best but he knew that he loved animation and so he hired people to draw for him so he could make his ideas come to life. And obviously that plan worked for him. He was a brilliant and creative man with a dream. And his dream came true.

One of the only person who *really* had the drive to make his dreams a reality. He was not just known as an animator, he was also a director, a producer, a editor, a musician, a theme park constructor, a technician, a television host, a effect pioneer. Nearly Mr. Everything in the *then* evolving age of media at the time. It is hard for anyone to come close to his influence when so much has been done and achieved since his emergence. Plus, his voice was *so* melodious and pleasant to listen to. Really could put an audience at ease.

If he had been alive in the 80's or possibly if its possible 90's he could have been a wise elderly man giving tips about animation, sure he wouldn't have been alive to see his company now but this guy had big dreams.

  • @jarredkennedy6131

You can say whatever you like about his politics or his business ethics, but good artists believe in their art. Great ones believe equally in their AUDIENCE. Walt was in that second category. That's why his work remains as popular as ever.

Walt Disney is a role model to anyone coming from a poor working class background, he wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth like Richard Branson or Beatrix Potter, he worked his way to the top from poverty, and I'm sick of the lies the media say about him, the media always try to make out that people from poor backgrounds who are self made must be evil.

I too thank God for bringer us Walt Disney. Cause clearly Mr Disney was a man of pure imagination that inspired us all to make our dreams come true and exploit our imagination of our fantasies and turn into a success. I myself have started to create stories and I also got the idea to create an art of a 1920's mummy character that I named "Billy Mummy" (I might create a Deviant art account a post s picture of it for all of you to see). But thanks Walt Disney's wonderful work of his ideas he has inspired us all to turn our dreams into a reality. God bless you Walt Disney, I hope your in Heaven and smiling at our ideas and creations that you inspired us to turn into a success. Thank you Walt Disney

For someone like myself who grew up in the 21st century I would say I adore the old movies that this amazing man Walter Elias Disney worked so hard with his magic to truly make all our dreams come true! I still own the old original Walt Disney dvds, which I still watch to this day! My goal is to one day work for Disney to figure out and find a way to bring it back for everyone to enjoy with amazing animation. A beautiful story with especially its opening, middle, and then lastly beautiful ending music that will spark that light with goosebumps that I miss! That is a goal I want to achieve for the future!

He wasn't racist, at least not in the hateful sense of the word. Sure, he applied stereotypes, but that was what was done in those times. Doesn't mean he disliked anyone who wasn't white or Christian. He was a very kind man.

Technically speaking, I'm looking at him from one point of view, and you're looking at him from another. I admire this man for persevering and accomplishing his dream, even when everything was working against him. This is a man who was told he couldn't do what he wanted, but he still fought for it. I know nothing about his personal life, and honestly, that's none of my business. I just hope that I can have half of his courage when it comes to fighting for what I want.

Walt Disney was not a racist; that's a myth. Rather, like many people of the time, he was what we would consider today racially insensitive. He didn't actually hate any particular races; rather, he bought into what we know today as racial stereotypes. This was commonplace for the time; remember, pre-Civil Rights Movement.

Im sure that if he had lived during our time period he wouldn't have been "racist, he doesn't come off as a bad person at all, so aaa we have to blame is society and hate.

I saw a video of him actually drawing Mickey mouse.. and when he was with red cross he spent majority of him time drawing. on the train back to where he left, he drew Mortimer. who is now known today as Mickey mouse. his wife came up with the name change. BUT he did in fact draw Mickey mouse, and even voiced him. he CAN draw. please, atleast do some research before stating wrong facts.

Well, let's see---he says he'd started making the nature films, so we know it's after 1948. And he also says he now produces live-action movies, so we know it's after 1950. And since he talks about television as a potential competitor instead of another aspect of his "diversifying", and since he also doesn't mentinon Disneyland, that would imply that this is before 1954. So unless he mentions those in another part of the interview, I'd say this is around 1952 or so.
