    I know it was a few years ago, but that was a total shred! Makes me want to push my 500. Well done! Nice mods too.

    Thanks for this video brother. Its good to see real world hard use and maintenance advice as a pose to the "do your 15 hr oil chage or your bike will die" 😑. Anyway keep enjoying and ride safe!

    No other bike compares to the 500 and its capability! I went from a 690 Rally Raid to my 500 after putting 12,000 miles on it through Africa, Europe, the UK and North America. I’ve now put 8,000 on my 500 without a single issue and I can pick it up numerous times a day if necessary.

    Mate ... this was beautiful ... loved it all ... 16m of pure fun and good driving skills ... Now I know the feeling, when people say to me "you're crazy for doing that alone" ... And now, I understand what they mean ... damn ... You're crazy, LOL, for doing that alone !! kkkkkkkkk ... but can we help it? Hell NO !! LOL ...I'm trying to, but the "good guy" is too far ... in another continent ... Damn aussies always too far, LLLOOOOOLLLLL .... You have some good specs in the bike ... All you need now, is an old KLE and an old and MILK drinker to go along with ... Don't have words to say, How much I loved this vídeo ... Well done my friend !! Cheers ... you made me fly ... Thanks

    Looks like to 500 is the only true "do it all" bike.. enuf power & cc for any road riding & longer adv rides & can handle anything offroad with ease as well, lightweight to boot. Better than the 690 in my opinion..

      yeh thanks man ,,very versatile the 500 with the mods ,its a compromise if you want i bike that can do long distance with a comfortable road speed ,and lug camping gear when needed, ... PUB stay just to ease ,thinking i make few videos camping out on the bike ,last trip we planed to camp , but dead cow in creek was enough for me

    What do you think of this vs the 690 I am a beginner and leaning towards the 500

    • @AdventureMotoEnduro
      @AdventureMotoEnduro  6 лет назад +2

      depends where you want to go what type of riding you intend doing , , 690 cost more to setup heaver ,handling poor ,more suited to open dirt roads and longer road sections , its tall as well but can be lowered , so finding a foothold in slippy creeks could be issue ,good point is longer service intervals but i would change oil more often , 500 on other hand has bullet proof reliability and more race bread enduro ,sharp handling much lighter mass , has gobs of grunt , but can still travel 120klm all day on open dirt roads , or turn off into a state forest and let it rip on some simgle ,, , its getting to the dirt that you wish you had the bigger 690 ,

      thanks mate never had issue did a few ks on it but i upgraded 5 months ago to a 018 500 , but thinking the new 690 might be on the cards long service intervals for ADV rides,

    I'm thinking on buying a 500 exc. I want to make some travels and use it for some commuting. Do you think it's a good idea? How about the engine and the maintenance?

    • @AdventureMotoEnduro
      @AdventureMotoEnduro  6 лет назад +2

      engine bullet proof , maintenance is over rated , oil filter change every 800 miles , keep oil clean she will last 40,000 miles before top end rebuild ,

    • @ricardosacub
      @ricardosacub 6 лет назад +1

      how much asphalt did yo hit on this 3 day 1500 k ride. Like Keep your eyes commented below I a not a beginner but am between the 690 and the 500. I travel a lot of Baja since I live in San Diego. Baja can't get gnarly sometimes so I would love something light. If the only issue with the 500 would be changing the oil frequently when riding long and riding some asphalt that would be great. Some times e hit long stretches of highway down there; would not like to wear the engine prematurely. Whats your advice, would love to hear that the 500 could manage that type of riding. thanks in advance man.great vids and awsome riding.
