The DIY Mommy I love your DIY pillow. I do love the other two but as much as I love the Anthropology pillow, I just can’t justify the cost and it truly would be so easy to make. What an amazing series idea...love it🥰
I love the handmade one best. Saves money and you can alter it to your liking. The Anthropologie one was a bit too expensive for my taste I'm afraid. Especially whilst I have young grandchildren living with me! 🙈 Great craft Christina. I would like to see more please. You always manage to entertain me! ❤
I watched this and it really inspired me! I added tassels to my plain white IKEA pillow and my plaid pillow and I am really pleased with the outcome. Thanks for posting this and making it very simple & straight forward to replicate!
DIY for sure! Out of the 3 I like your diy the best because I like a little color. I could never spend 89 on one throw pillow, even though the Anthropologie one is really cute. I just couldn't bring myself to do it! I actually think the other 2 pillows are cuter anyway. I am a diy'er and enjoy making things so I'd be most likely to make one of these pillows. I've always had an obsession with pom poms, tassels and fringe. They just make everything look so cute!
I prefer your diy pillow, by far, then the cheaper one. Like most people, I couldn’t justify the expense but, although the tassels looked good, I wasn’t keen on them all down two sides on a square pillow, maybe a rectangular pillow would be better in that style. You could probably put tassels on most pillows to update them. I look forward to seeing more of these videos - good idea, thank you! Kind regards from Penny in Liverpool 🇬🇧😊💕
Hi Christina, I would vote for the DIY. Since I have my sew machine, I try to do all I can for my house , even if I have the money for buying things to me is more rewarding when I make my own decoration and I do the makeover in my furniture. I love to see all what I can do to make it my own style😊❤️ , I hope it makes sense. Thank you for your tutorials, I think you are a very smart, creative and with a good taste woman and a great MOM too❣️❣️. Please keep making your great videos.
Yes, please, please, please, make more video's like this! I loved the high end pillow but there is no way I would pay that much for it! I absolutely loved the one you made the best out of the 3 pillows!
Love all of them but DIY all the way. I probably would make it simple with two pieces of overlapping fabric on the back so the insert could be removed easily. I love tassels also. I would love to see more of these videos. God bless, Peggy
DIY, definitely! there are an incredible amount of round, square and rectangle placements that could make this less than $10..or even LESS. Goodwill always has an abundance of linens to wash up and change out with the seasons! Grey flannel or fleece with natural cotton tassels, vintage rosebud sheet material with soft pink yarn tassels, straw place mats with jute tassels...whew! You got me started and I can't stop, LOL!
I loved the diy pillow. The colors of it are very nice. I also liked the first one, but diying is always fun and you can customize it according to your taste😊
I like how you book-matched the stripes on the striped pillow. Love the DIY. You could totally make more tassels. But adorable.. Tassels are out at my place as the kittens would consider them as THEIR toys.
All I can think about now is adding tassels to all of my inexpensive pillow covers from Hobby Lobby! Thank you for the great idea and instructions! I really hope you do more videos like this, it's great!
I actually love your diy cushion the most out of the three. I really like the way you attached the tassels. Everyone else attaches them on the outside after they have filled the cushion. You are very clever. 👏🏻😀
I would love for this to become a series! I like your pillow the best, then, H&M, and Anthroplogie last actually. Pillows are the easiest to make, so I almost always DIY them. So, I can't wait to see what other comparisons you would do as some DIYs are more complicated and I always question if they are worth my time. Thanks for this great idea and concept!
I’m really into making my own so I like the DIY pillow. I just bought a Pom Pom maker to add Pom Poms to my pillows. I make 10”x10” pillows for little girls with embroidered quotes and animals on them. And I thought the Pom Poms would look cute. I like this type of video b/c I struggle with the purchase vs. DIY all the time. Keep sharing. I love your videos!
I've loved tassels and pom-poms for decades. I had black and white toile pillows with black pom-poms made by my reupholster to match chairs 2 decades ago. I've trimmed chandelier shades, etc.
Thanks for making this. I like to buy the affordable (and cute) pillow covers from H&M home. They have nice linen, cotton, etc options and then I add my own DIY tassels😺
Definitely the DIY. I make all my pillows and love the IKEA inserts. Another cost effective option is to purchase used throw pillows at a thrift store and remove the cover and make a new one.( smell the pillow before purchase)
Great idea for a series. I love the diy and would add that in with the low cost open for different looks. Never in a billion years would I pay $89 for a decorative pillow even though it was beautiful. You could make 4-5 pillows for that price. 👍🏻
I really like all of them. The high price is not a opinion for me. I like the DIY and I even have some scrap material from the thrift store for 50cents and this would work well with your DIY and I am going to do it today. Thank you!!
Yes more videos in this series. I've to be honest I would be doing more toward the low cost pillow from HM as I dont sew but would love to. Maybe one day. I learned a trick from someone for the pillows to stand well and give the look of being expensive that you've to get the insert a size bigger than the pillow cover and that way you'll get that perfect looking pillow. For example if pillow cover is 20" buy the insert 22".
Great idea for the series! I love making my own pillow covers and have found the envelope style is the best option since I’m not super savvy with zippers. I think an episode on wreaths or wall art/signs would be another great edition! ❤️💕
All three are beautiful - the diy version appeals and it's really cute - styled together, they really compliment each other. I wouldn't pay £89.00 for a cushion/pillow, no matter how handsome it was - I just couldn't justify it to myself. Great video 👍🙂
Hi Christina, l always make my own pillow covers, normally check every week my fabric shop remnants bin as they sell the pieces for £3 per piece. Looking forward to the next installment of your new series 😊
The high cost version is beautiful, but I think the low cost and DIY look great as well! I would probably do the DIY or low cost, but I have little ones at home that have spills or accidents 😉
Thanks for the great tips! I always consider if the low cost is because there's a machine that can make it or if it's just someone being exploited. For someone who doesn't have the time for DIY or the money for fair trade products - second hand could be a good option :)
Love this video 😀😍 I also love that High end pillow & if I had the money I'd buy that every time but as I've always made my own covers I think I'd like to go with the low end pillow 😀
The DIY pillow case gets my vote but, I do love the Anthropology pillow and I would definitely buy that one because, I would not want to make 24 tassels! Nice job!
This would be a great series. I love tassels. I think I would make tassels and add them to my cases. I always buy cases from IKEA or Amazon for winter I had great navy velvet now I purchased velvet pink and lavender I love switching colors. Miss you! 🙋🏻🤗👏🏼
I'd probably go with low cost or I'd make an overlapping envelope DIY pillowcase. They aren't hard and could easily be slipped off and changed out. Enjoyed the video.
I like all of the pillows, tassels are just so much fun, but if you DIY the pillow you can always add as many tassels as you want, that's what I like about DIY. I just can't pay $89 for a pillow when I could make 3 or 4 for that price, I've made a lot of pillows in my day and I have put zippers in and a flap on the back and also sewn them without access into the pillow. I have also bought low cost pillows, so I would say low cost and DIY. Thanks for this video, I would like seeing more of this type. Bye for now.
It’s hard for me to say, but I agree with the comments it literally hurts to pay that much money for a pillow. I personally would DIY the high-end pillow. That’s me would make it worth it. But I do love them all and I am inspired to tassel some of the pillows I already have. LOL
I am trying to make a pillow that is 33 in wide and 19 in tall, I want it to be 9 in thick. Do you know what size I should cut my fabric? It's the thickness part that's throwing me off. Can someone please help me I am planning on making it today.
DIY, even though sewing is not my thang...(yes, my thang lol). This actually is something I've been debating for a couple weeks because I bought a new duvet cover and did some cushion swapping so I was looking for new covers to match. So I may have to break out my old machine yet!
DIY all the way. I have hundreds of yards of fabric that I picked up at Hancock's from the decor fabric sales table. Most of it was less than $5.00 per yard and 60 to 90 inches wide.
Which one is your favourite? I'll have to try making one with multiple tassels just for fun and see how long it takes!
The DIY Mommy I love your DIY pillow. I do love the other two but as much as I love the Anthropology pillow, I just can’t justify the cost and it truly would be so easy to make.
What an amazing series idea...love it🥰
Definitely your DIY version
I love the handmade one best. Saves money and you can alter it to your liking. The Anthropologie one was a bit too expensive for my taste I'm afraid. The DIY and the low cost pillows are my favorites. I couldn't think of paying $89 for a pillow. More videos like this? Yes please. TFS 😁🤗
Thank you for helping me work through these ideas. I like the DIY pillow best. Especially due to the variety and styles of fabric.
Diy!! It’s more satisfying to create something for your home! I love this!!
The anthropoligy pillow is soooo beautiful. But I like the mixing of the DYI and the High End.
No brainer. The diy pillow. Yours turned out fantastic.
Hello and I think for me it will be the DIY just to get busy and customize the colors and specially for the holidays.thank you.
DIY for sure! Out of the 3 I like your diy the best because I like a little color. I could never spend 89 on one throw pillow, even though the Anthropologie one is really cute. I just couldn't bring myself to do it! I actually think the other 2 pillows are cuter anyway.

Yes more of this series!!
I like them all . The fabric on the diy is the best but the multiple tassels is gorgeous.
I really like them all too! I think I need to try DIYing one with multiple tassels and see how long it takes!

I’m all about DIY on this project. They are all fun and beautiful!

Totally agree with you :)
I like how you book-matched the stripes on the striped pillow. Love the DIY. You could totally make more tassels. But adorable.. Tassels are out at my place as the kittens would consider them as THEIR toys.
Thank you! Haha, yes cats would love these! 🤣
I would love this series.. I've wondered about the comparisons myself... Love the diy pillow.. Great job!!
Thanks, Vicki

I actually love your diy cushion the most out of the three. I really like the way you attached the tassels. Everyone else attaches them on the outside after they have filled the cushion. You are very clever. 👏🏻😀
Thank you, your home made pillow is the best…
Thank you for this series! So many people DIY things, that do not last and takes 3 months to complete and look tacky.
I would DIY because I'm interested in bringing personal touches to my home. I loved the expensive pillow and during quarantine I think I could do it!
You totally can!
I would love for this to become a series! I like your pillow the best, then, H&M, and Anthroplogie last actually. Pillows are the easiest to make, so I almost always DIY them. Oh how fun!! Happy crafting

That sounds lovely!
Thanks for making this. I like to buy the affordable (and cute) pillow covers from H&M home. They have nice linen, cotton, etc options and then I add my own DIY tassels😺
I adore these tassels😍
I love the one you made. My favourite of the three.
I love this! Please do more. 😊
I like all of them, but the DIY is better 😉👍🏻👍🏻😁👏
Thank you so much for all your tips! Love your videos ❤❤❤
I'd absolutely go diy...love making pillow covers with a flap on the back so i can take it off and wash it and def love making tassels!!
OMG these pillows are everything! I need them on my sofa!!
I love all three. They're very nice.
The DIY for sure!
100% DIY it I DIY everything!! Super excited for this new series
Definitely the DIY. I make all my pillows and love the IKEA inserts. Another cost effective option is to purchase used throw pillows at a thrift store and remove the cover and make a new one.( smell the pillow before purchase)
Yes! I love this series! Please make some more videos
Thank you!
I definately would do the diy pillow. Customize to your decor for the win! ❤
Great idea for a series. I love the diy and would add that in with the low cost open for different looks. Never in a billion years would I pay $89 for a decorative pillow even though it was beautiful. You could make 4-5 pillows for that price. 👍🏻
So true!
Please make more such videos. It is so helpful. I loved the diy pillow.
I love the one that you made. I think it is just beautiful.
Love this video!! Please make more 😊😊😊
I just love your channel. Thanks.
Love the pillow cover.
Thanks so much for watching!!
Mmmm I like all of them. I would probably say the low-cost and the DIY. I hate the thought of paying $89 or more for pillows! It pains me... Lol.
It's so expensive, I agree!
I really like all of them. The high price is not a opinion for me. I like the DIY and I even have some scrap material from the thrift store for 50cents and this would work well with your DIY and I am going to do it today. Thank you!!
I love the tassels that that you showed how to easily make them. Definitely the DIY for me and I am making my own tassels today :).
I loved the DIY better. The fabric is amazing, the tassels seemed super easy.
I love the idea of this series.

Great tip! Yes, I make my DIY pillows slightly smaller than my inserts and it makes a Huge difference!
I’m ALWAYS torn as to whether to try and DIY or buy it. So thankful you’re doing this❣️❣️
Like your concept. Just subscribed. I love the 89.00 pillow best. Looking forward to this series.
Thank you and welcome to thediymommy family
That Anthropologie pillow is amazing! But I'm like you, I love their stuff but just can't afford it all. I would definitely DIY this one, love yours.
I love this series! Please do more ❤️
Great idea for the series! I love making my own pillow covers and have found the envelope style is the best option since I’m not super savvy with zippers. I think an episode on wreaths or wall art/signs would be another great edition! ❤️💕
Love this video! It’s always good to have options. I like them all! I love how you explained each one. 💕
DIY!! And you can totally make the high-cost one too!
For sure! I might have to try and see how long it takes!
All three are beautiful - the diy version appeals and it's really cute - styled together, they really compliment each other. I wouldn't pay £89.00 for a cushion/pillow, no matter how handsome it was - I just couldn't justify it to myself. Great video 👍🙂

Love your DIY pillow 😘
DIY - definitely!!
Yes do the series
Love the DIY one the best
I love the DIY pillow!
Love this diy!!!! Just wondering how does the diy tassel pillow hold up in wash??
So far, so good!
Great video! What kind of wool/yarn/string did you use to make your own tassels?
Love this video 😀😍 I also love that High end pillow & if I had the money I'd buy that every time but as I've always made my own covers I think I'd like to go with the low end pillow 😀
they all look nice but deff the DIY
I this idea. Always DIY if it’s th best value!
This series idea is so clever! Very cute name for it too :)
DIY pillow is my favorite 💝
Totally more of this type of video please
Omg your diy was my fav❤
Thank you!
The pillow from anthropology was my favorite...hopefully it goes on sale!!
I love the DIY one 👍🏻
The DIY pillow case gets my vote but, I do love the Anthropology pillow and I would definitely buy that one because, I would not want to make 24 tassels! Nice job!
Thank you! I love everything about the Anthropologie pillow but the price! 😊
DIY for sure
Love your DIY! You're amazing!
This would be a great series. I love tassels. I think I would make tassels and add them to my cases. I always buy cases from IKEA or Amazon for winter I had great navy velvet now I purchased velvet pink and lavender I love switching colors. Miss you! 🙋🏻🤗👏🏼
Sounds so pretty!
Love the video. Nice idea. ☺
what type of yarn did you use for these tassels? it doesn't look as fluffy as wool and i really like this slightly stiffer look!
I'd probably go with low cost or I'd make an overlapping envelope DIY pillowcase. They aren't hard and could easily be slipped off and changed out. Enjoyed the video.
Yes so very true!!
I like the DIY pillow the best❣️❣️❣️ Yes I like your idea for this series! It's nice to see you put out more videos. Sincerely, Lori K 👍
I would definitely go diy for this, especially since I have a cat that loves tassels.
I Love it!!!! Thanks for teaching me how🙂. I am going to make my Cover for 8 inserts with my own fabric choices 🙂 and cheaper
Yes! It's so much cheaper! Take photos when you're done and tag me on instagram or Facebook - @thediymommy - I love throw pillows! HAHA
DIY all the way!!
