I wish they had of implemented this model.
howcome the airport lines cost more?
The airport line is owned by a private company not Queensland Rail or TransLink. They can charge whatever they like. They contract services that are run and crewed by QR.
@@jswaggart01 very important line. Day before, a train going to Shorncliffe was mid travel changed to Airport line. At Roma Street this train was 3 minutes late. While shorncliffe passengers had to change trains.
@@jswaggart01 so while for QR the cost is only max for longest distance $?8/9 they charge $?22 for shortest journey. So how much are they paying QR for leasing?
@@jswaggart01 and their contract clause not to have any other public lines next to it for next so many years.
Love how a commuter rail line to Toowoomba didn't get a mention, west SEQ always seems to be the poor cousin here
Because it's not in SEQ. It's in the Darling Downs. Different region lol.
It might happen for the 2030 olympics
How I love trains!
i dont know how train and bus charges are the same rate
Wait a minute there is no track south of Varsity Lakes. How the hell do they think they are getting through Burleigh when the land around the old tonnel is owned by home owners.
Varsity Lakes station was always designed to continue further. You can just tell by looking where it would've gone. And if I remember correctly, the alignment didn't involve going through much residential area as it still sticks to the M1 higjway.
Have they forgotten about this?
Also a 2-aisle-3 seat arrangement? #standardgauge not here! :(
holy shit!!!!!! walking
Exciting stuff for Brisbane, even better for the coast cities. However there was no mention of the long spoken-of Redcliffe peninsula rail connection.
I’m a bit late but Petrie to kippa ring was said. It exists now anyway
@@ash-ok6dr but riddled with problems from day one. very unreliable line
@@ash-ok6dr yes and since then that line is plagued with delays and cancellations and stoppages almost everyday. Did anyone realise that the disc brakes are now shared with other rakes on alternating coaches. I mean one has disc, next coach old style next disc and so on. The trains can travel faster but I think they don’t because of the brakes. Or they will have to employ more trains if they start travelling faster.
how about a plan to at least clean the trains
Yeah. The new trains smell of toilet every now and then. I think the air mixes with the aircon
Sydney trains are the best.
Astro Kid shut up now
Astro Kid no there not they are boring
Then why you watching this video
