Rene presents so well, and as she said, much of the stuff end up in land fill. I can't help but wonder what happened to the fella who so carefully packed his stuff to return for it one day. I hope he is safe and well or if he is not I hope he at least, is at peace.
maybe it's a she
perhaps, although I thought Renee spoke of the clothing as male fitting but either way, whatever gender of this person, a hero @@ppurgett
Alot more than $100 worth the alcohol there.
After having gone through many military moves, looks like it was packed by movers. The movers can lose boxes at storage places, we still have 6 boxes floating around.
Servicemen get there moves done by the branch they are in, there are professional movers packing all their stuff. This guy deserved the booze!! Thank you for your service Dwayne Johnson!!🎖🚢⚓⚓❤❤❤❤
There are so many Dwayne Johnsons out there, hard to track down especially since most internet searches show "The Rock". But yes, a big thank you to our military men & women!
The Crown Royal Is made In Canada, Manitoba, its a high end Wiskey ! its world class.
That would probably warm you up on a cold day!
@@PaperandMoose Yes up here we are just coming out of a -27 c week in Winnipeg ( Winterpeg ) LOL -17 F for the Americans, but we Love it.
Crown and coke.
I work in a smoke liquor store, the bottle of crown is 50+ and the absolute vodka,39
Too bad you can’t sell liquor. You could make a few bucks. Great video. Those pots and pans are top quality. Take care.
Love the way they labeled the “Happy Glass”tote. 😂
I know, that was creative! Surprising too that not a bottle had been broken all of these years!
Oh Boy Renee! ....packing my bandanna and putting it on a stick, and hopping a freight to New Jersey to help you consume all that liquor...hehehe.🍷🍸🍸🥂🥂🥃🥃
Be sure to dress warm with all this snow we have out here!
better hide the Mamajuana from Dickel! 🤣@@PaperandMoose
@@Buzz1151 I didn't know if that was "appropriate" for RUclips, so hid that bottle away. At first I thought maybe it was the kind of liquor that had the soaked berries in it, but nope... something else was soaking in there!
It looked as if the booze bottles were close to full, all of them. There is a lot of deliberation in all of the careful packing, and they took very good care of their things.
This is a winner!
wow, "The Rock" sure liked his booze🤣...that "yellow tail" wine is good stuff.....You have to keep that! ...When's the party Miss Moose????😁
Not sure if the 2017 Yellowtail would still taste good, but the patron will go nicely in some margaritas 🍹 🙂
@@PaperandMoose I think the 2017 won't be horrible. It's not a high end wine you'd cellar, but 2017 isn't that old a bottling that it would have gone bad, unless something has gone wrong with the cork or cap or storage. Wine doesn't like large fluctuations in temperature so maybe being in a storage unit in New Jersey wasn't the best place for it to be. If you want a nice antipodean wine to try, I can recommend Trinity Hills Syrah, from Hawkes Bay New Zealand.
Wine improves with age and low end wine will not spoil after a few years. Drink it!
@@user-iu2ny5iq2r She's not a big wine fan. My son was curious about wines when he got older and so I said I would teach him a bit and we could try some wines together on special occasions like Easter and Xmas. We've had some hits and misses. I've been out of the business for 20 years, so things change, but it's been fun finding delicious wines that don't cost a lot. I live in Norway, so alcohol is expensive. Enjoyed sparingly when you're on a budget.
Yellow tail might not be 'high end' but they make a good product. I believe one of the first vintners to offer wine not fermented in wood barrels, which produces a more fruit forward product (which I think is great - I personally have never wanted wine that smelled, or tasted, like mushroom, peat moss, tobacco, or any other weird organix matter). They do make 'reserve' wines that are more 'high end' to satisfy the wine snobs of the world 🙄🙄🙄.
Their Shiraz, Pinot noir, and Merlot are great wines for beginners to try. 👍
You made out like a bandit on this unit! Everything is nice. The liquor alone is worth a lot. Got to thank this veteran for his service! Thanks for sharing, Renee!
Love these mystery tote videos. I don’t drink much, but like you, my wine has to be “Koolade with a kick.” 😊
That’s a great phrase! I’ll have to use that one myself 🙂
I'm a mixed drink person myself, but I do love Sangria wine (can't get fruitier than that), and dark beer.
That happy glass sure is happy. The red wine is beef stew-bait, as in stew base. I'd bake with the liquor, especially the rum and the brandy. Vodka is pie crust on the hoof. Or pasta sauce. 08:39 Instead of finding a Crown Royal bag, Rene found actual Crown Royal! The pots and pans? Instant kitchen upgrade.
Vodka is also great for removing odors, and so much more.
I think you can go to a money exchange place and cash in the paper money, but they won't take coins. I did it all the time with currencies my husband would bring back from his travels.
That's a high end pots and pans set you got there. Over 200.00.
Being a former Marine wife and a daughter a Navy medic who served in Iraq, I can't believe someone just never went back for his possessions. Now I'm worried about him/her. Good buy though.
Just like when George Costanza bought Jon Voight’s LeBaron!🤣😆
😆
wonder if this stuff was packed up by military when he transferred. It is just so uniformly packed.
There are storage unit guys who know how to sell off the liquor, even the half-full bottles. You just need the right contacts.
That’s for sure. Some can sell & other, probably like me, would get in trouble haha 😆
When my son went to university, he lived in a house with 4 others and between them they had 4 George Forman Grills!
They must have been cooking up a lot of burgers!
Great stuff Renee, love the pots 🎉
Items were wrapped well. Great buy.
The pots and pans are extremely nice. I love my George Forman grill. You really got great stuff. I'm looking forward to part 2. ☺
Take a shot & get busy. Looks cold!
Stuff from Pottery Barn generally holds it's value on the resale side... not sure how much of it you have in there but, you may have made out ok on those! You really got a decent haul on that lot... looking forward to part 2!
One big box of Paper an Bøøze. 🥳
Holy Moly Renee. That was the best storage unit you got ever. The liquor is the best. The Rock played Football not Baseball. The Rock is a Wrestler and an Actor. God Bless you Renee for getting a clean storage unit. All that stuff is cool. Stay safe. Hope to see more. Hugs. Mari'a. ❤️❤️🤗🤗👍👍👍👍👍💕💕💕🌹🌹🌹🌹💙💙💙💖💖💗💗💜💜
Not sure if this beats the jewelry box unit, that will be a tough one to surpass! Hope that you had a wonderful week, Maria!
Just bought a $70 Storage Unit yesterday. Saw about 12 empty wine crates and a few had the label "Opus 1" which is a VERY expensive wine. Looked to be some banquet decorations as well for wine tastings etc. Which was the case. Should get my $70 just by selling the wooden crates that people like to use for decor, maybe $10 each?
But I found Ca$h too. A homemade Margi Gras style necklace($10) with $1 bills folded Origami style, rather odd, but cute. a $50 American Express Gift card...with $50 still on it. A single $100 bill. And " TWO " Jamaican $50 Dollar bills! Pretty good cash haul. The one disappointment was when I checked the exchange value of what $100 Jamaican dollars is worth. $50 bill is worth about .32 cents. They are worth slightly more than 2 quarters. BUT, "you just never know what you are going to find "
Oh wow! The gift cards & money are always great to find. The wooden crates should sell well, as I know many purchase them for decor and usually end up paying a high amount for them at craft stores.
@@PaperandMoose Renee, Went thru the final stuff. Appears with decorations and balloon stuff they did a wedding for somebody. Found a few cards. Must have ben like a " Thank You" to person who set up event. Had a $50 target card to add to the Booty. Still shocked that a Jamaican $50 bill is worth only .32 cents.
Finally you did it again, and it will pay off, that´s for sure ! 👍 I think that this guy could have been a Desert Storm veteran (Kuwait currency), so it might be interesting to do a little bit of research (you know his name and that he was a navy guy). The main value should be in the liquor assortment, probably worth a few hundred bucks. Seems that this guy knew how to enjoy life. So, just tell me when you are at home because I would like to show up for testing purposes...😁🥂Have a fantastic weekend, and keep the party going ! 🌨❄☃Greets from GER, U.

@@ppurgett Absolutely !
His name is so common, almost as bad as having the name John Smith! Doesn't help that a famous wrestler/movie star is also named the same haha. The patron is staying in my collection, have it on hand for some margaritas! Being the wine connoisseur that I am (sarcasm there!), I looked and the wine probably is a no-go due to the age & brand. For those brands, they recommend only a 2-3 year shelf life and they were well past that. If it was fancy wine, then that wouldn't have been an issue. This is definitely a first though finding a whole tote of liquor!
@@PaperandMoose Okay, next try to make you rich. Let´s take a look at the silverware marked "GS", probably Georg Schreiter. If there´s a number like 90 or 100 behind the initials, it´s just silver plated. But Schreiter also produced massive silver stuff. So, definitely worth a closer look. The company was located at Luebeck/ Germany and produced some pretty neat Art Déco silverware.
@@PaperandMooseglad you're keeping the Patron...that paid for the unit 👍.
If you like fruity wine, I bet you’ll love the Fragolino. It’s made with strawberries and is best served chilled, as they say. Score-o-lino!
The Kuwaiti Dinar is 1 to 3.25 US dollars right now. Worth cashing in at an exchange.
Thank you for that info! I had several Dinars in there, so would definitely be worth to exchange!
Looks like the military packed that stuff up. When you're in the military, they pack and move you. Could be some sailor that never made it home?
I’m not sure. With the later dated newspaper, it appears that these items have been in storage for a decent number of years. With Iraqi Freedom operations ending in 2011, I don’t know if the military would have been responsible for packing. But perhaps they were & then the person/family just decided they didn’t want to keep paying on the items & had no desire to travel from where they lived to pick up the belongings (or costs too high to ship).
That was fun! With the liquor, you have presents covered for a while. Birthday, Christmas, hostess, house warming, wedding....
Wow! Lots of happy glass!
Happy Glass is going to be the new phrase for this year!
You might want to look up the exchage rate for those bills.. I think their money is worth more than a dollar in conversion.
I’m with you, Renee, fruity Moscato’s are my favorite drinks 😊
That sounds yummy!
Excellent storage unit. If you'd found it before Christmas, you might not only have been loaded with Christmas presents, but just plain loaded. I hope there's a way to access that hard drive. If it's photos or a journal it could be really interesting! Looking forward to part 2. Have a great, warm weekend!
Hard drives are tricky because I'm worried about possible viruses or malware. My laptop runs slow enough as it is haha :0) I can always bring out one of my old laptops and plug it in to see what is on there! No mail, paperwork, old bills... nothing of the sort in this unit. Lots of "happy glass" though! A few surprises in Part 2, which will be out on Sunday! A bit chilly here, had an auction rescheduled due to snow which ended up not being a bad thing because with wind chill it feels about 8 degrees out there. Hope that you have a great weekend as well!
Wow Renee❤👍 This was so fun to watch you open the mystery totes👀 Your giggle is is refreshing to my old ears. I think you will make happy money with these totes
Belingique are sold at Macy’ s, bit pricey .They are great Stainless steel cookery and 18/10 SS which is what you want in cooking pots.
Thanks for the info! I think they are probably the best cookware that I've come across in a storage unit!
My dad probably woulda loved that Letchworth mug. That is one of his favorite parks.
Great booze stash Renee; wine, cognac, Brandy, bourbon, baubles - a party in a tote! It'll make an impressive drinks cabinet if nothing else. Nice kitchenware too!….😊….hic….
Excellent pan set and moderately expensive. I love my set.
Renee: they wrapped everything so nicely
*Proceeds to destroy all the wrapping
🤣🤣
Bottoms up! You'll stay warm with the vodka! 🤣
I have a few coins from other countries. The Canadian money is easy to exchange, but those I keep as we travel through that beautiful country every year. Most foreign coins aren’t worth the trouble to try to exchange, but I just enjoy looking at them. They remind me of past trips.
All kinds of happy little items 😊 These are becoming some of my favorite videos. I love a good mystery. Looking forward to part 2!
I love these! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey is very tasty. Good for sipping. I'd imagine you could sell the alcohol to people you know. Retail value probably a bit over $200.
Very, very nice locker. The totes themselves will be super handy to have.
Some people buy a pallet just for the totes!
First thank that person for their service. And Renee I don't want to see you at the flea market with that cookware for sale and a bottle of liquor hid under the table. Great video love you , stay safe and warm!!
I think you did well with this storage, Renee. The name "Belgique" on de lid is the French name for Belgium.
The jacket could have some nice value depending on type. 20 to 750 bucks.
I'll be looking forward to part 2 I think you've already got your one hundred dollars back so now the rest is gravy. Hope the rest is jewellery better than that other storage you bought last year. 🇨🇦🦩
He may have been deployed and wasn’t able to pay for his storage unit. I feel for him.
You did really good got a good deal there I hope youfind something worth a lot of money 💰 your the best
I think you have over $100 in just the ' Happy Glass " tote. You can't sell them to outsiders but I am sure you have some ' friends ' who would purchase them. I found that same Bottle of Patron once... retails around $30. The Chivas Regal is probably over $50 retail... a friend take it off your hands and would gladly buy it off you for about half price. That or break them out for Christmas next year with family. Stored since 2015... they are aged :-)
Thanks
You definitely have several hundred dollars worth of alcohol there. Good score!😊
Brandy is useful for medicinal purposes, worth keeping that. Enjoy the Party Renee 😊
You must have friends who drink distilled spirits who would be willing to do a personal sale. You wouldn't need a liquor license for that, would you? So curious about that hard drive. If he was in the middle east during the war there could be such interesting material. Photos, journal. But how would you get the gumption to plug it in? The possibility of a virus is so obvious.
As always, enjoyed your video stay warm
You can resell liquor without a license go through a auction My Brother was a auctioneer he sold it a lot
You have more like 500 in booze.
The Patrone is expensive I was going to buy some for a Christmas gift but couldn’t afford it. All of the alcohol is expensive!
Crown Royal my hubby's favorite ! lol Wow what a box !!
The Nordic bag will be great in the summer at the flea. Pack a lunch and keep drinks cold. Small and convenient.
Worst case scenario is you get $5 for the New York Yankees helmet Which the me isn't bad
Set the alcohol aside and you have your Christmas shopping done for this year. 🤣
Great idea!
At estate sale I'll totally buy unopened old whiskeys- theres a market for it, but i keep them for cold winter nights 🤣
I haven't had whiskey in so long, I'd be afraid of what would happen with one little sip!
Nice pot and pan tote
Don't refrigerate the Cabernet. It should be served room temp. If you sell the Navy uniforms, please remove the name tags. Also mark through his name with a black marker if it is written on any name tags inside the garments.
I received a pots and pan set for Christmas, complete with spagetti sauce in one!
Happy glass ????!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂 funny labeling. 😁
In Canada, that liquor would be at least 300 dollars, the vodka is 40$ Very high end pans, Belgique French, pronounced Bel-jeek
Interesting, but each opening makes me nervous. You are so brave to take on this task.
Zulu is second to last float to roll on Mardi Gras day. The beads may have some value.
Oh cool!
😂.. what you don't drink, give it away🎉,
Definitely keeping the patron for some margaritas!
You could have a "party" and take "donations", then give the donatee a bottle of liquor.
Yeah, saving usable materials from the landfill is a noble effort, and can pay dividends. I found I could only absorb 10-12 households before my cup runneth over ;)
Bottles of Alcohol? Great find for all this weather we all have been having. The guy had great taste in the buzzes. I'd say set a bonfire and have a drink.
I do believe that is THE Dwayne Johnsons stuff.
Enjoyed watching. The booze is worth much more than $100. Congratulations on a good buy. I already viewed video 2 and both combined you did very good.😎👍
I would love to see it all layed out on a table. ❤
Fun stuff!
I've had the Mamajuana when I was in Punta Cana. Has quite a kick to it lol.
Those strange things like dumbells are shake weights which was a fashion in fitness a few years ago
Awesome 😊😊blessings
15:50 is it silver? Gs could be Georg Schreiter (Germany)
Fun watching
Nice purchase!
Excellent. How interesting.
Good Buy!!! ❄️☃️🥶
Great video again Renee! I could use some of those vine bottles here in 🇫🇮🤣
The pots and pans look unused and are definightly high end - they will pay for the whole auction. All that booze! You did well with this one 😁
😮❤ I love the way you show us what you find. Always a great presentation!
Thank you so much!
Great video..!! It was so surprising to see the booze..if it was raining soup ..I'd have a fork...same with the drinks...worth a lot but I'm a not a drinker.😅 was fun hanging out with you...🥰🥰
I bought a jacket from Steve and Barry’s once, care tag said do not machine wash, do not dry clean. Spot clean only.
Great totes video Renee 😍❤❤❤
Ha! The commercial that popped up was for Happy Eggs. Hope you can trade happy glass for what you want or need.
Renee !!! Thanks for taking us along! I appreciate you!!! You'll be set with the adult beverages !!! I don't want to know what the vhs are seriously no thanks!!! Stay safe stay great and keep up the good work!!!
Great video!👍
Nice finds...
