Servicemen get there moves done by the branch they are in, there are professional movers packing all their stuff. This guy deserved the booze!! Thank you for your service Dwayne Johnson!!🎖🚢⚓⚓❤❤❤❤
There are so many Dwayne Johnsons out there, hard to track down especially since most internet searches show "The Rock". But yes, a big thank you to our military men & women!
Rene presents so well, and as she said, much of the stuff end up in land fill. I can't help but wonder what happened to the fella who so carefully packed his stuff to return for it one day. I hope he is safe and well or if he is not I hope he at least, is at peace.
After having gone through many military moves, looks like it was packed by movers. The movers can lose boxes at storage places, we still have 6 boxes floating around.
Oh Boy Renee! ....packing my bandanna and putting it on a stick, and hopping a freight to New Jersey to help you consume all that liquor...hehehe.🍷🍸🍸🥂🥂🥃🥃
@@Buzz1151 I didn't know if that was "appropriate" for RUclips, so hid that bottle away. At first I thought maybe it was the kind of liquor that had the soaked berries in it, but nope... something else was soaking in there!
It looked as if the booze bottles were close to full, all of them. There is a lot of deliberation in all of the careful packing, and they took very good care of their things. This is a winner!
You made out like a bandit on this unit! Everything is nice. The liquor alone is worth a lot. Got to thank this veteran for his service! Thanks for sharing, Renee!
I think you can go to a money exchange place and cash in the paper money, but they won't take coins. I did it all the time with currencies my husband would bring back from his travels.
Being a former Marine wife and a daughter a Navy medic who served in Iraq, I can't believe someone just never went back for his possessions. Now I'm worried about him/her. Good buy though.
I think you have over $100 in just the ' Happy Glass " tote. You can't sell them to outsiders but I am sure you have some ' friends ' who would purchase them. I found that same Bottle of Patron once... retails around $30. The Chivas Regal is probably over $50 retail... a friend take it off your hands and would gladly buy it off you for about half price. That or break them out for Christmas next year with family. Stored since 2015... they are aged :-)
That happy glass sure is happy. The red wine is beef stew-bait, as in stew base. I'd bake with the liquor, especially the rum and the brandy. Vodka is pie crust on the hoof. Or pasta sauce. 08:39 Instead of finding a Crown Royal bag, Rene found actual Crown Royal! The pots and pans? Instant kitchen upgrade.
Finally you did it again, and it will pay off, that´s for sure ! 👍 I think that this guy could have been a Desert Storm veteran (Kuwait currency), so it might be interesting to do a little bit of research (you know his name and that he was a navy guy). The main value should be in the liquor assortment, probably worth a few hundred bucks. Seems that this guy knew how to enjoy life. So, just tell me when you are at home because I would like to show up for testing purposes...😁🥂Have a fantastic weekend, and keep the party going ! 🌨❄☃Greets from GER, U.
His name is so common, almost as bad as having the name John Smith! Doesn't help that a famous wrestler/movie star is also named the same haha. The patron is staying in my collection, have it on hand for some margaritas! Being the wine connoisseur that I am (sarcasm there!), I looked and the wine probably is a no-go due to the age & brand. For those brands, they recommend only a 2-3 year shelf life and they were well past that. If it was fancy wine, then that wouldn't have been an issue. This is definitely a first though finding a whole tote of liquor!
@@PaperandMoose Okay, next try to make you rich. Let´s take a look at the silverware marked "GS", probably Georg Schreiter. If there´s a number like 90 or 100 behind the initials, it´s just silver plated. But Schreiter also produced massive silver stuff. So, definitely worth a closer look. The company was located at Luebeck/ Germany and produced some pretty neat Art Déco silverware.
Just bought a $70 Storage Unit yesterday. Saw about 12 empty wine crates and a few had the label "Opus 1" which is a VERY expensive wine. Looked to be some banquet decorations as well for wine tastings etc. Which was the case. Should get my $70 just by selling the wooden crates that people like to use for decor, maybe $10 each? But I found Ca$h too. A homemade Margi Gras style necklace($10) with $1 bills folded Origami style, rather odd, but cute. a $50 American Express Gift card...with $50 still on it. A single $100 bill. And " TWO " Jamaican $50 Dollar bills! Pretty good cash haul. The one disappointment was when I checked the exchange value of what $100 Jamaican dollars is worth. $50 bill is worth about .32 cents. They are worth slightly more than 2 quarters. BUT, "you just never know what you are going to find "
Oh wow! The gift cards & money are always great to find. The wooden crates should sell well, as I know many purchase them for decor and usually end up paying a high amount for them at craft stores.

@@PaperandMoose I think the 2017 won't be horrible. Hi Renee-Great finds. If coming from overseas, this service member’s “stuff” was likely packed out of a location not in the Middle East theater as there are very strict limits on alcohol. I had friends stationed in Saudi Arabia; the Saudi’s kind of look the other way on alcohol, they’d turn in their empty bottle, which was crushed, before buying a new one at the sole supply point at “tea ration” time. Military uniforms okay to sell, but need to remove rank, name patches, service branch patches, etc. Friend of mine was appointed as a “summary officer” to clear out a deceased service members “stuff.” One of the things he was instructed to do was to purge out any porn or other material, so mom or the surviving family wasn’t shocked or aggrieved when the boxes arrived home. Super Arctic cold in western Iowa/eastern Nebraska but 40’s coming next week. Take care. Best, Brian
