I watched my mother breath her last in front of me as the cancer took her and the flat line enveloped the room. Since, every god damned night, -every- night, in near 3 years, coming up on August 26th, I walk outside and look up at the stars and try to still find which one is her. One day, I hope to be a soft twinkling light beside her. But, I'm not asking for pity, the lyrics and the soft voice simply remind me so much of her. I've held in so much for so long, and to finally cry, to finally let so much out alone in my room at 3am, in front of no one but the screen of my computer feels... so fucking good. Thank you. "I have so much I want to tell you, will I ever stop talking to you? When you're not even there." Hits me like a fucking TRAIN. I keep her ashes in my room and away from my family, I talk to the box every day, she was my everything and though I failed to protect her in life, I'm glad you allow me to revisit her in this song. I've repeated it a thousand times, and feel her warm hand on my shoulder, telling me to give it a rest and go to bed but I shall not; not yet. Just, a few more times. Once more, thank you, I would die for you were it necessary, you have done more for me than you could know. I wish you the best.
