my stepdad was a drunk that used to hit on my mama....he was dumb enough to give me a .22 rifle when i turned 13. 2 months after my birthday he made a mistake and started in on her during a 3 day drinking binge, I used that .22 on him. 2 shots to the stomach stopped him in his tracks, I went to juvenile hall till I was 15...but he never touched my mama again. This song makes me tear up everytime I hear it, in anger and pain.........thank you for your reaction, it really touched me.
Sorry you had to go through that. God bless and hope you are living well now.
Why did they send you to juvy your mom didn't stand up for you and tell them what he was doing
May God bless you son. Your mum has a great son.
Raised up right. Not enough people with balls to do what you did. A mothers and sons live is nothing else
I am sorry you were put in that position. I bet that s.o.b. never lays a hand on her.
He should be made a national hero instead of going to jail
My son saved me from going to prison! When my daughter was 16 I was away on a business trip and when I got home I knew something was wrong the way everyone was acting. My wife and daughter just said nothing happened when I asked what was up. When I pressed my son, he said don't worry dad, I took care of him.
You raised him up right!!!!! ❤
you're one of those parents that raise your children upright to respect wemon
I'm so sorry for your daughter, (assuming) but I'm so proud of your boy.
That's awesome, but that's not what this song is....why can't people understand how stupid this song is?!?
If a man ever puts his hands on my daughters like that, they wont ever find that dude's body, period.
In country boy vernacular "Wait in the truck" translates as "I need to handle something and I don't want you to see it being done."
Sometimes real men must unleash the monster inside us, we must be meaner than evil. We don't want you to see that side of us, we don't want you to fear that side of us so we tell you to ''wait in the truck"
As she is on the stand testifying she says "I don't know if he's an angel because angels don't do what he did" I would submit that he was both a guardian as well as an avenging angel.
When the system, when society fails to protect those weakest among us it is left to rough men standing outside the rule of law to do what is necessary to preserve the peace, protect the innocent, and return civility. Some call this "vigilante justice" but for some the vigilante is the only hope to obtain justice.
Here is what I saw in the video: A drifter, a loner, a ex'con (Based on the prison tats) finds a gal who has been beaten, he knows the signs he's seen them in the past in a woman he holds dear. He makes the decision to help her, the only help he knows is violence. He has been to prison and knows he can do the time. He makes the choice to remove her from her prison, a prison of abuse and pain, he frees her.
Damn…. Preach bro!
For a man to be good he must have a monster inside of him. It takes a monster to fight a monster. A man without one cannot protect anyone from evil. Without that monster to direct towards other monsters a man is simply complicit in evil, and for evil to prevail it only takes good men to do nothing.
Especially dwn south
But whn we do y'all go bak 2 dem thn we gets lckd no balance 4 men
My wife was in a relationship that she managed to get away from. She literally moved to a different state to get away from him.
She still refuses to tell me his name. She knows that if I know who he is, she will have to "wait in the truck."
As a side note, I own a Taurus Judge.
Just Wait In The Truck Girl....I got u
There needs to be more of these songs out. I am not Christian but I'm Muslim and we have more in common than we do have differences.
I remember one night my best friend was coming over and he saw a girl that lived on my crescent getting hit on the driveway. He stopped immediately took out his gun and pistol whipped the bf. She ended up staying with me for 3 months till I could get into one of my rental properties. She lived there for a year and a half rent free so she could get back on her feet. Her bf tried to confront me a couple times but would never get on my property so I could deliver the justice he deserved.
Happy to say that girl I helped some time ago is now married and just had a baby boy, she asked me to be the godfather for her son and I couldn't be more honored.
I am not a religious person, but I do believe in Karma, and know that those that do evil unto others get evil in return. Thank you for what you did for her.
What a blessing you were to her. Good man.
When I was 19, I got married and he moved us to a different state so I couldn’t see my family (this was like 45 years ago). As soon as we moved, he changed. He worked a good job but I wasn’t allowed to work. We couldn’t have a phone (no cell phones) so I’d walk to the nearest pay phone and call my mom/dad or sister once a week. On New Year’s Eve, we went to his office party at a really nice bar and he got really drunk and started flirting with the waitresses. I was tired and embarrassed and just wanted to go home and go to bed. I asked for the keys to the car and the next thing I know is I’m trying to get up off the floor. I didn’t even realize that he had just punched me in the face and I was bleeding everywhere. I tried to run away but he caught me several times, hitting me with his fists and with metal chairs. The place was filled to capacity but not one person offered to help. They just watched. Finally someone called the police and he was arrested. He got out the next day and I began sleeping on the couch right next to the front door! At the end of that week…around the 5th of January, he came home drunk and went straight to bed. I put my coat on and walked down to the convenient store to call my sister. I told her everything that happened and made her promise not to tell our parents & she promised. I felt so much better and walked home. The next morning the police were knocking on my door which woke my ex up (not good). Next to the cop was my dad and big brother telling me to pack everything I could into the station wagon while the police made my ex go out the back door and leave because my dad had his gun and told the police to meet him and my brother at the trailer, otherwise he was going to kill him. I was so mad at my sister but she saved my life. I was embarrassed around my dad and brother because I felt like a failure especially when they tried to hug me and due to all the bruises and cuts, I had to politely tell them I couldn’t raise my arms up very high. We drove all day to get home, about 10 hours of driving and I never said a word. We got home, and as I was getting out of the car, someone grabbed me and I screamed because of the pain but when I saw it was my sister, I hugged her tightly that the pain didn’t even matter! A week after New Year’s, I was home with my loved ones with 3 broken ribs, broken nose, chipped tooth and 2 black eyes! But I was home! Now I’m 60, met the love of my life at 48 years old and couldn’t be more happier! God never promised there wouldn’t be storms but he did promise He would always walk through them with us!! God bless!
Jus rember bby girl also men dat save y'all frm dat whn y'all go bak wtf do we do
I’m so sorry that happed to you. God bless.
Thank you Lord for our strong men. We need you. Please God put your hands on them
"I never thought my day of justice would come from a judge under a seat" Best line of the song.
So glad I clicked on this reaction! I am a Christian and it’s wonderful to hear from fellow Christians! I love the story of this song and he sacrificed his life for hers. Very moving song.
This it’s home for me y’all. I lost my little sister 4 years ago this April 1st to a pos that was supposed to feel her life joy and happiness, but instead he took her life with his bare hands. If everyone could please pray for my family, because the trial for this horrible mess is about to get started finally after 4 long horrible years, and I’m afraid that my mom may not make it through it! Much love and respect to everyone!! God bless us each and everyone 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Praying for you all 🙏🙏❤️❤️
Praying for you and your family! Your sister is an angel watching over you all ❤️❤️🙏🙏
@@darrickriggins3806 appreciate the prayers
Sending prayers! I pray things go your family's way!
@@faithcondiff3657 thanks so much for the prayers!
This is such a powerful song - I've known too many women who survived abusive partners - and others who didn't. At the end when they're singing "have mercy", I think it's a prayer for forgiveness not a plea to a court. At the end she's still waiting in the truck. Thanks for playing this & your comments.
This song is dumb...simply logic proves that
I agree he wasn't asking the judge he was asking the good Lord for understanding !
Yall are wonderful. With a great testimony. I praise God for you two.
HARDY is great , fantastic artist and writer....hope you do more HARDY music
The line "I never thought my day of justice would come from a judge under the seat" is an awesome line. The Judge is a five shot revolver that can shoot 410 shotgun or .45 Long Colt rounds.
Yes clearly they don't keep up on the firepower
This is true but that's now what is being referred to in the song. The gun he grabs is a Smith and Wesson not a Judge. It's just a metaphor for Judge,.Jury and Executioner
@@themeez1000in that case that would be the governor. Better thatn the Taurus judge
I have one and it's awesome !
It's not murder, it's judgement expedited . . . . .
There is a song that is know of a prequel to this. It's about a young boy who watches him mom get abused repeatedly and ends up dead at the hands of her abuser. In this video Hardy is the grown man who was once that little boy.
@caiterlandson7473 do you happen to know the name of that song? I would love to listen to it.
Name
There was a brilliant bar when she said " i never knew my day of judgements would come from a Judge under the seat" Judge is a type of pistol
It may be, but as far as this situation goes, I think it means just a gun. I've been there, and if someone had done that for me, it wouldn't matter what kind of gun it was. I would still call it the judge under the seat.
There is nothing as strong as true gentleness....and there nothing as gentle as True Strength.
Love ya do what ya do.
I like her alot for recognizing we guys be that protective some situations
Thanks for speaking facts folks.
great reaction you didnt pay attention to the lyrics! "I let the hammer drop before he could get, to the 12 he was reachin for" powerful song and video.. no room or place for abuse in this world!
Scripture, There is no greater love then one laying there life down fot another.
JUDGE UNDER THE SEAT IS A TYPE OF GUN " THE JUDGE "
Taurus colt 45 Judge pistol also shoots 410 the most missed and brilliant lyric !
But it also refers to a gun in general being the judge. Could’ve been a bat, a crowbar, or anything else. Might’ve meant the actual Judge, but doesn’t have to.
Hardy said it was referring to the Taurus Judge.
@@timpphillipsWe need good men and guns.
Though it appears in the video he is using a S&W Governor. The cylinder on a Judge swings out to the opposite side.
I don't know what people think about angels but Angels do what he did.
Thanks! Try Craig Morgan- Father ,my son and the Holy Ghost
Avenging angels ❤ if I was the judge I would say 1 day time served
This was a good one, may Christ be with you. 🙏🙏🙏🙏💯🇺🇸
A MAN would protect someone being abused. The person doing the abusing was not a man. Notice he tried to run from Hardy? Thats because he's a sniveling coward at heart, he can only abuse and dominate those who are weaker than him.
I lived that life. My dad abused me and my mom. Once she got 1000 miles away from him; he put his fist through the door and brought her back.
We had no one to rescue us. When I was 17, I had enough. I stood up to him. I was a 5'4" girl, weighed 100 lbs. He was a 6' cop who outweighed me by 90 lbs. After I was done with him, he was a guest of the local ICU for 2 weeks. A family friend made him drop the charges.
When he was released from the hospital I told him if he hit my mom or me again, he wouldnt need the hospital, even if it meant I went to prison. He never touched either of us again.
Good job I am proud of you !
I'm so glad I found this channel. You two give me hope that the world isn't completely falling apart around us. I'm broke right now, but when I regain my financial footing I'll be happy to contribute because I have a whole slew of songs that I think you would truly enjoy and appreciate. Meanwhile, God bless you.
Hardy is a great writer and singer some other songs would be
Sold out
Truck bed
Life on a rock
Give heaven some hell
Some songs from Laney Wilson are
Heart like a truck
Watermelon moonshine
Things a man aught to now
Yes to all, but it's just "a rock " also got to add "drink one for me " , "screen ", and " mocking bird and the crow "
Long live the Pirate Republic!
She’s still got that truck.
Thats a single wide trailer by the way. Great song & we need more MEN in the world so this dont have to happen.
Yall are awesome 💯
This old vet is here for this. First time watching this as well.
Nice to hear a Christian couple, great reaction
Real men want to protect
👊🙏❤just wait❤🙏👊
TRUE STORY.... she drove that truck for 20 years, he got out they married. Had kids and now both work for Hardy. (his intention was to fight, until the guy went for a shot gun)
It done it for me when yall started laughing.
My daughter’s mom kept me outta prison multiple times lol. She knew like hey let’s slow down and regroup
If I tell my wife or kids to wait here/ in the truck there are no questions asked they do it. Not because they are afraid but because they know Dad is gonna deal with it!!
I love you guys!!! Every video, ya'll bring me closer to Jesus!... This is a great song!!!... Great react guys!!! When she leaves the prison, she leaves in his truck!!!
I think, well hope, that she's still waiting in the truck when he gets out.
This means the world we can only pray we are helping others as we too are growing closer to God always. Peace and blessings to you. God bless , we love you 🙏❤️
That's just a way of life in the Backwoods!
Every southern girl knows shits about to get real for Earl if someone tells you “wait in the Truck!!”!❤
....come from a Judge under a seat. Man, what a line.
There are “wait in the truck” kinda men then their are the ones who aren’t… judge under the seat the most missed lyric and most brilliant Taurus Judge is a powerful 45 colt pistol which also shoots 410’s. Where I’m from when a man says wait in the truck it’s about to go down. So keep your butt in the truck !
eye for an eye. , dude was old testament.
Sometimes a man has to be the guardian angel and sometimes he has to be the avenging angel and sometimes that means visting violence on those that truly deserve it
here in alabama where i live wait in the truck is country talk for if you don't know you can't be asked to testify
HOG ARMY in the house!
Love & Respect Oregon 🇺🇲
Thank you for being you with no shame god bless
God is blessing your ministry.
Check out Larry Fleet and Hardy. Where I find God
I think y’all rock
Did you notice, she’s waiting on him IN HIS TRUCK !!!
Thank you!! Yall true to your word!! I loved it!
Just wait in the Truck! God bless you!
4.2k views?😅 2 days? Yallz blowin up!
Hahah you are the OG though man we can’t thank you enough for being a huge part of our journey and coming along with us. Love ya man !
21k!! Wait in the Truck girl
Hardy- give heaven some hell. Its my favorite song by him
Justice from a judge under his seat…
If you pay attention you will see the guy calling for his shotgun
I'm a bit experienced in scripture, but very new to coming to Jesus...I appreciate your ministry!
I can seeing myself doing such a thing
I grew up with a father like the abuser in the video. The character helping knew that would continue for the rest of her life and that would be normal for her future children. I grew up around this I would get between dad and my mom and brothers. A protective order from a court is just a piece of paper it doesn’t stop physical or mental abuse
Great reaction. If yall would like to do more HARDY, "GIVE HEAVEN SOME HELL" is a fantastic song
From TN and went through this.she is now my wife and its been fourteen years thank god and the court for mercy.
I Spanish they say "Dios te paga" . God pays you back, and he did what was right. You NEVER BEAT A WOMAN....EVER!
It wasn't a murder, it was a killing. The Ten Commandments originally said thou shall not murder before the KJ version changed the word murder to kill.
First of all to all my fellow women going through this. Hang on - devise an escape plan - seek help where/when you can. Most employers have assistance programs to “sneak” you out. But you have to lay down your pride and accept help. Murder isn’t the answer but the moral of this video is there’s more greater love than someone who lays down their life for another. Granted - Hardy didn’t die (physically) but morally he did as well as laying down his freedom so that she could be free. Thats the ultimate sacrifice. Even through all her pain and past she still defended him and stayed with him. Which shows when a real man treats a woman right - she will be by his side.
Now watch Hardy's "Sold Out" 😂😂
1 min til the first ad, so congrats on the numbers!!! What's funny is I had just decided to subscribe and the ad hit 🤣
Haven't even started the reaction yet, and I can tell that I am going to enjoy your content!!
"Let us court who you're dating"....extremely sound advice
I’m new to yall and enjoy y’all’s reactions. I just subbed and look forward to some more! I’m joining AA soon and plan on putting God at the head of my table and marriage! There’s a reason yall popped up while I’m searching for my sobriety and Christianity!
LOVE THIS SONG! Love y'alls channel and advice! God Bless you guys and your Marriage! MUCH LOVE! :) Prayers for Health would be MUCH appreciated! :)
that girl can flat-out sing,, both huge talents!
love the reaction! real men would say wait in the truck! there are some things worth going to prison for is what my grandmother always said!
Hardy is an awesome songwriter. Check out Hardy's Give Heaven Some Hell. Another great story and song.❤
That ain’t murder ya’ll that’s justice and in Proverbs it clearly states that God hates those who shed innocent blood and run to evil. So that’s that!
There’s an a song called I want it all and I want it now by Queen it basically summed up Gen X generation that wanted it all and they wanted it now and I am a Gen X and I still have not received everything I’ve asked for
I would like to suggest Need a Favor and Save Me by Jelly Roll. Great songs to react to.
The bible says, 'No greater love has a man than that he would lay down his life for another'. (That's not verbatim, I know, but close enough) He did exchange his life for hers. And after 60 months (5 years) she still comes to see him, and she is still waiting in the truck.
I was worried you wouldn't like this but I'm happy you did.. cuz she would have ended up dead if she didn't have that help!!!! It happens all the time!!!!! ❤
Y'all didn't get that he's a drunk from her whiskey scars!?!
You will see him pull the judge out from under the seat. It is a Taurus 45 caliber slash, 14 shotgun shell. It's a pretty bad pistol.
But I'm so glad you guys are Christians and you're helping people in their marriages. Here is a book for you to read. I promise it will change your lives. It's called men are clams? Women are crobars, a Christian doctor and Author
Extremely valuable information in there great book
410 shotgun
You guys are wonderful I glad I stumbled across your channel ❤ you 2 give the rest of us hope....
This is what a man should be. A man is supposed to make sacrifices for not just the people he cares about but for the innocent. He is supposed to be a protector even when it could cost him his life or freedom.
My cousin did something similar. He spent 20 years for doing that to someone who was hurting a little one.
Amen. 🙏👑🙏 ( and yes, he gave her “ the truck “ ). Lord, have mercy on me Lord, have mercy on me. Yes and amen. He will be judged by his Maker as we all will, saved or not.
Romans 5:8 Context
5And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
6For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Men are made in the image of God and the heavenly hosts, from the dust of the earth and the breath of God. Women on the other hand, were made from the “ rib “ ( flesh ), of man to be their “ help meet “ ( mate ).
Great song and review guys. 🤓
If I hear right, this song is actually based on a true story. The difference being, instead of the man shooting and killing the guy, he beat him with a tire iron and put him in the hospital. He went to jail for a few years for it.
Watch her pants at the end of the video. Then look at his. Her pant legs widen…he took her shackles. Her pant legs represent huge statement…she’s free but only thanks to a stranger that went into the home “knowing pew pews” were in there also. Now, did he go to “unalive him? Probably not! Did he go to make him wish he had? Oh yeah! I’m from the south and I’ve been her. Officers will do what they can…but that PTO is only paper! She feels helpless because he’s he’s most likely taken every route for her to run…So she returns after the dust settles. It’s hell! But “I don’t know if he’s an angel, cause angel’s don’t do what he did” oh yeah they do! It’s in the Bible! Don’t count out an angel! Now, I do see how and why he’s in prison forever…He went in, with a pew pew! But drunk man was reaching for a much larger one. I’d love to see “wait in the truck part two” where she goes to law school and gets her angel out. I’m not advocating for violence. But in many cases, he’d find her again one way or another and she would have been in a pinewood box. Sad and hard situation…but they got people talking about DV! Something many don’t understand, but it needs to be understood and spoken about!
God Bless you two! You guys are amazing!🙏💜🙏
I was married 39yrs and got beat up every week couldnt go no where because I had 9 children to take care of
Did y'all notice she got back into his truck as of sat of saying, waiting.
Been married for over a decade to a firefighter. His job is to protect others. When it comes to me....he would destroy the world. That's not a joke in his mind.
Nor mine. I tell him, always, when there is nothing left but darkness and no existence, I will find you and love you still.
Thank you both. God Bless ❤️😘
Traded his freedom, to give her hers.
Would not do something like that now, definitely would have before found Christ, if a chick had a problem, even other dudes they'd call on me, still now dudes 20 years older than me, if you saw me unexpectedly you knew you fkd up...lol kids in city didn't even know my name lol I'd meet someone at a party or something and introduce as Don Paulson n they'd be like don't think heard of you lol roll my eyes n be like "The Don".... they'd be like ohhh sh*t okk lol, even had has my myspace name so people could find me, I was a different kind of breed back then, so glad never took a life or anything.... almost did a couple times by stomping their face in...but yeah legit on call, even from ex's that wanted nothing to do with with me but if had some creep... plenty stories could talk on lol, including my own dad with my mother, which that was one badass mf lol like the baddest around, time grabbed him by his shirt cuff and slammed against the door and just looked dead in his eyes and let him know he'd get fkd up and not to say sh*t, lol used to pay my older brothers friends and whatnot back at like 12 to hit them in the face, my dad wouldn't do after hearing them speaking about it lol, must of been a few hundred spent to just get a good free shot on a mf lol, was a bad mf...still am...but after finding Christ I'm a completely different person... might still have that animal inside but Jesus is taming it
I come from a very broken home. I only have 1 or 2 memories that are peaceful from my childhood. I understand "wait in the truck".
I can’t believe someone actually complained about you talking about God. I don’t know if there is a God but learning from people like yourselves help me to learn, pray and feel closer to God so keep doing what you do it does help that one person… me :)
When he said in the song that "she didn't have to tell the whole truth because he knew what she had been through", tells me me that he might have been a witness to that domestic violence either his mom or sister. He would also understand that it doesn't get less but only escalates, so his response seems plausible and almost justified.
To add to the other comments... he was not a bad man, he was not an evil man... perhaps he grew up in a house of abuse.... as he knew what had happened to her without asking... he was a man who saw a need, saw an evil and acted on that need and evil. He was a man of faith (evidenced by the court scene bridge (Oh Lord have mercy on me was not asked to the court system... it was a plea to God) and visibly evidenced by the cross hanging on his rear view mirror... was his action legal, obviously not based on the trial, was it morally just.... that is up to each individual for you cannot legislate morality... but for every victim of DV, he would be an answered prayer... and for every man... the story forces the question... "what would I do?"
I recently picked up on another aspect of the acting...you can see the transfer of 'weight' from the weight on her as a DV victim... to him, as the reality of what he did sank in looking at the body on the floor... she has her weight lifted as she no longer has to live that life... and the weight of the decision he made settles onto his shoulders, heart and mind.
Hardy is an amazing song writer and performer. His must check out songs are:
Give heaven some hell
A rock
The Mockingbird and the Crow
Sold out
Radio song
Go in that order and you will see his country side and then "The mockingbird and the crow" is a transition song from country to rock.
In the south if a man says "wait in th truck" that means wait here im about to have to do something you shouldn't see. We are going to handle business thats unsavory.
Preach
