Sonar module is for principles demonstration purpose, in reality it doesn't work perfectly, it can't see obstacles at some angles to the surface, and it can't see soft objects like blanket or sweater, and it can't see objects below or above it's altitude. So you have to come up with some method to increase it's effectiveness (area scanning) or replace it with optical module like lidar.

I bought a cheaper model with 2 wheels for $30 including a clone arduino board. Assembly is no big deal. A big deal is no instruction and software to install is 100 % correct. So, the modeler better has some C++ language basis to make it right. After doing right, the car runs as designed and fun to watch.

I bought similar car kit. It doesn't have holes for L298. Plus one of the wheels doesn't fit the motor. So I forced it in so hard that I cracked the plastic thing.
Very frustrating.

Help me about this tutorial: At 1:54 we see 2 cables in the same place. Are those 2 cables from the same motor? Or is 1 cable per motor?

You didn't show the working video..your circuit (connecting motor to Arduino) is wrong..the pins assigned in program and in circuit is different..it won't work properly if we assign it according to your pin connection but it will work when we connect it according to the program correctly..it will move straight when object is moving straitly..bt if the object moves in cross manner the car will not move..and you should have maintained minimum distance between object and car bcz there is a chance of accidents here..

Dear sir, I admire your work. But when I connect battery to 12 v of l298d motor driver the led doesn't glow. Also if I connect battery to 5 v then the led glows but the motors of the car wheels don't rotate. Can you help me out please??

First check battery voltage it'll always greater than 12V, in that case you need to remove power pins otherwise you'll harm your Board & Laptop/PC

I ain't sure about it. In the code there are lines about the ENA and ENB but he didn't mention that connections in this vídeo. This is why he didn't put the car to run in that video.

Which arduino uno are you using? The SMD version or any other uno does not have double layer of headers
