That's a cool DIY setup. I am trying similar. I got a 7gpm unit for like $170. Saw a bunch of info that its worth it for a little bit more. I did splurge on the GP gun.. red one with trigger that can change from spray to stream based on where you pull trigger. Got 75' of 5/8" hose, and a Giraffe reel that holds 150' of 5/8" with that auto side to side movement so it properly keeps it all fitting on. Comes on a cart. Figure I can grab another 75' of 5/8" hose if need be.. just doing it to learn with for now. We'll see if I can get my kids to use it for doing some jobs.
Can I ask why you’d put a 30amp fuse on a load that only draws 19amps ? You’re defeating the purpose of a fuse by allowing more amperage to flow to the pump, giving it more than it can handle, which will fry it. The fuse is suppose to protect the pump so it doesn’t draw more than it’s designed for. Just a heads up for future recommendations ! Keep up the content dude
I love this video... very motivating! Can you list where you got the items and the specific pump, battery and sprayer tip you used? Also, how much can you pull in for a single story roof wash in your area for a house about 1500 sqft? How do you price them?
Do you notice a big difference when adjusting the pressure? I guess how would one know to adjust it? Is it a sound thing? Also, been trying to find that soap tip everywhere haha.
Awsome video man!!!! I was gonna buy a 500.00 softwash system but found your video where did you get the battery and pump and supplies from may I ask I am deff gonna do this
Hey man, how hot of a mix you doing for the stucco? I primarily do floor cleaning but one of my customers asked me to “pressure” wash his commercial plaza. I did a test with pressure washer but I feel it’s to hard for the fiber cement stucco. I did a small test with bleach and dish soap, and it didn’t break any of the algae down at all. I’m at a loss of how hot to go. I really need this extra money to come in since I had a slow month, and really don’t wanna pass it up. Any advice would be great.
My advice is too start at your house before going to a clients house. With the research you done combine what you feel is best and go with it. Don’t overthink it, as a friend once said, “ think long, think wrong .” If you found something at fault with the set up, don’t dismay, with every downturn, there’s always new lights shedding up. Things you didn’t think at first but now you see another way. Also it helps with anxiety and frustration at your house cuz it’s your place. The client don’t wanna see the hulk thrashing and cursing to the point where something bad happens. I’ve done it and my reputation is damaged… that’s my words of wisdom to pass along. Always have hope and faith. It’s a long journey ahead but I believe in the works you will do. Be safe and have fun. Side note when your having fun at work, is it really work your doing or is it something grander. 😅
why mess with a marine battery and having to recharge when you can buy a 110V pump that you can run an extension cord and plug it into an electrical outlet. for a homeowner who just needs to wash his roof every couple years all you need is a 32 gallon trash can to fill with water/bleach/soap and just use a 110v pump. i've seen one dude that runs a small generator to power his pump rather than having to hassle w/a battery.
A lot of homeowners aren’t gonna be happy with you using an extension cord to run your machine or pump. that really just looks unprofessional and tacky. And when you’re hooking up to the outlet that cord is gonna stick out so you’re not going to be able to properly cover that so no water or chemical gets into the outlet. And who wants to constantly have to pull up to a job add soap, bleach and water to get the right mix for every job they have to go to what if you have 5 to 6 jobs a day? Batch mixing does have certain advantages, but doing that on every job is really a waste of time.
And what if the generator breaks for some unknown reason? What about the space that that generator is taking up? Are you gonna run two generator when one goes down? A battery is smaller. All you have to do is plug it up when you get home and it stays fully charged. It’s less of a hassle and for some reason, the battery doesn’t work you can run right to AutoZone and get another one or you can hook it up to your Work truck and still be able to run your machine without a problem
