Absolutely love that watch, Tim! I wish Rolex had a more complicated DJ (but I guess in that case it wouldn't be "just" a Datejust), but this is a wonderful substitute. I may look into getting one. Thanks for sharing!
Perhaps because I'm not such a Datejust fan, I quite appreciate a brand innovating a little with its main elements. The white chapter ring is very smart. Reminds me of the rather gorgeous Bravur BW003. From the colours shown, again I find myself quite liking the brown, though I understand your comments regarding the benefit of contrast. I did not quite understand the stronger inside brushing comment. I understand how it accelerates the route to market when reviewing prototypes, but it always makes me wonder what might change and how, and details simply matter in watch designs. Anyhow. I think this is a very good looking watch, excepting perhaps its thickness. Ideally that would en reduced, but probably not possible due to the triple date complication.
It's a good looking watch with an interesting movement and a nice size for me but the price is more than I want to spend on a watch from a new company.
Oh boy. Were it not for that clasp, I'd have it. Even those small links do not have the sizing flexibilty of a proper micro-adjust, nor the ability to quickly change the sizing for wrist size changes. What a shame.
@@petermckenna5636 Yes exactly, it was important for us to keep the watch as thin as possible. So indeed part thickness is in the box domed crystal. If you look purely at the case we managed to keep it only at 11.1mm
That’s a very clean dial for a triple calendar. Great job, Maen.

I enjoyed the vintage watches at the end!
That's a gorgeous watch. Thanks for the review.
wow he got it!

Good review. Watch looks good on your wrist, but I'm not sure it would work for me. I always enjoy viewing subscribers' watches. Nice job!
What a beautiful watch. Did you happen to check the lume on it? Is it usable?
Very nice. I shall henceforth call this the 'Date-tona!'
Pretty cool!🤙
Calendar elements on subdials: bicompax look on the cheap?

Substitute a small seconds for the month subdial and we're cook'n.
It's a handsome watch but 36mm is too small for my wrist.

Hi, we will offer half links on request!
@@maenwatches back onto my "I want" list! 😀
That's great and it's the first time I hear that this is even possible.
What is the accuracy
-10 to 30 sec per day is rather loose
6 seconds i believe
I asked Maen about regulation and they told me +- 12 spd
In my humble opinion, the Maen should change the name of this watch from “Brooklyn” to “Perfection”
This watch would probably also look good with two crowns, instead of a crown and pusher
Quite thick for a dressy sports watch with a 9000 series miyota no? Could have gone 11mm easily...
Unfortunately not, this movement is much thicker than a standard 3 hander due to the triple date function.
@@maenwatches fair enough. My bad. Don't get me wrong it's a lovely looking watch. I guess the crystal is also adding to it.

Tim your hair is very tight this episode.
Thanks, it was early and I must have confused the pomade with clear varnish. ;-)
Lugs are too long...
Don't buy this watch!!!! the butterfly clasp is terrible, the release mechanism sits too low against your skin causing lot of skin irritation n sore.
It looks like a cheap $10 watch to me.
