Greetings from Portugal. I know your videos for some time, now. But this one is magnificent. I teach from home since 2018- Portuguese Literature -and this video of yours is Great. We have students from Portugal but we do have students from other counties as well. This video is important so my colleagues can see what is to be done to have a good perception/understanding of what is going on and to be aware of what they have to do to make it easier to the students to understand (please do forgive my English). Thank you so very much. I admire you.

Camera Angle.. Now there's an issue worth raising and why laptop manufacturers just can't seem to place the camera in the optimal position..
We've all heard of the despised 'nose cams'.. Aah yes the blunders of the tech world.. 🙄
On a lighter note, these tips will surely come in handy when dealing with fellow colleagues or freelance clients.. Thanks a lot William! 😆
Laptop manufacturers place the cameras where they are (and create an awful angle) to keep the device as small and the screen as large as possible.
But you can of course help yourself for this problem: Invest in a laptop riser! This stand rises and angles your entire laptop, so your camera can be right at eye-height. In combination with a mouse and keyboard, it also improves your posture as you can now look straight onto the screen instead of looking down, and your keyboard can be wherever your hands end up on your desk.

William. Wonderful advice. May I gently recommend the importance of appropriately muting oneself and choosing to pause video - at certain times. Such as when answering a call, when one’s spouse or child charges in with a desperately important question which can’t possibly wait... like...”what’s for dinner?” or - as an acquaintance unfortunately pointed out to me - when choosing to carry one’s laptop to the loo so as not to miss a moment of the conference...... thank you for your work!
