best advice from and old deer hunter,LEAVE THAT RADIO IN THE TRUCK ! Sometimes the bucks will be 200 yards in front of the dogs and sometimes they will be right in front. with the radio on you have no chance of killing one that is slipping. how many times have the dogs been headed right to you and turned? Have you not wondered why?

I understand the method and I believe in the tradition of dog hunting but I also believe and I'm sure I'm not alone having video footage like this on RUclips gives dog hunters a bad reputation. My opinion you should have put the deer down right away not letting a bunch of hounds catch up to it and start chewing it up on video and then post it on worldwide social media. I just think that you guys should have a little more respect for you what you do and a lot more respect for the animal that you Sikh to harvest. But either way God bless you all
This is not any different than the thousands of hog hunting videos with dogs ravaging the pigs and no one seems to care. I am a dog hunter and i dont care because this is not censored for the sensitive people watching. Raw footage shown as it really happens for us dog hunters sometimes. I would have also put the deer down. Maybe we sympothize more with a deer than a hog but no one complains about how dogs treat the hogs, myself included.

I understand there are many hog hunting videos out there where the dogs are viciously attacking and holding down the animal which they pursue but that doesn't make it good or right for all dog hunting for any Outdoorsman I was just simply saying that there are so many activist groups out there that a continuously using our own videos against us to Outlaw dog hunting and this will probably be a definite video they will use as evidence to shut your state down from dog hunting. As a member of the South Carolina dog hunters coalition and the Coon Hunters Association I can tell you we are fighting every day and every night for our dog hunting rights. And there are large groups out there who are definitely searching the web for videos just like yours. God bless you brother Hunt on I will be watching great video by the way
That's correct.. I've dog hunted my whole life and still do all the time and I'm also very active in the Virginia hunting dog alliance and we partner with any other hound organizations and this video right here will be used agaisnt us and deer dogs I can promise you. Myself and many others work very hard to keep our heritage alive and we stand side by side with senators, state representatives etc and they all tell us catch videos is one of the number one things used against is by the antidog crowd. We all know it happens sometimes but keep it to yourselves amongst your buddies etc theres no reason to put this where everyone in the world can see it, I'm saying this as a fellow houndsman who cares and doesnt wanna see the antis have anymore ammo against us brother.. otherwise a damn good video like your videos are but please man take advice from people like myself and @outdoorswithtim who are working behind the scenes and see and hear the complaints from the public. @THEBOSHOW the only thing that got me and i know it happens i dog hunt also was the deer in the road still crawling and letting all the dogs swarm it....the guy had plenty of time to finish that deer before the dogs got there....im a hunter but i never let a animal suffer more than it needs to....

I am glad we don’t have dog chasing deer around here. This video is bad for deer hunting. I wonder if they have heard about gun safety and hunting etiquette. You just don’t drag a wounded deer down a road and let dogs chew on it.
