Hello Bob. Yes, we are blessed to have both a kitchen wood stove upstairs and an airtight stove in the basement. A stove that has never been used to cook on, but we could place a cast iron dutch oven on the top. Thanks for taking us along. Its important to be prepared. We also lose power in New Hampshire on extremely windy days. We can hand light the top of our gas range. And don't forget our cute little coleman for under the carport . Snow is just around the corner here. That casserole sure looks yummy :-)

Getting recommended this after a power outage is really on the nose.

Thank you, I learn so much on your channel. Could this be jury-rigged with a heavy duty rack and a lid that covers it totally? Maybe adding tiny silicone feet mats under the rack to be safe. I can't see finding another wonderful pan like yours, but it may happen.

I thing you can use a deep roasting pan upside down Or a tall lid. But you will need a rack to put the dish on for sure. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. It keeps me going.

I was thinking, won’t juices come out the bottom? But then realized that you had the food in a regular pan. So this thing is really like an oven pan, functioning as an oven on top of the stove.

Yes I was keeping an eye on it just in case. But it baked just like in the oven. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
