This is one of the easiest dust collectors to make and one that keeps the sawdust out of your shop vacuum cleaner. Super cheap to make and saves you money. Parts are easy to find. Prevents your filter from clogging prematurely in your shop vac. Separates the dust and debris with simple cyclone action. No fancy baffles. Plain, simple and practical.

Materials:
1. PVC Pipe F200.
2. 4 pieces of wood 22x24 cm.
3. Large board 40x60 cm.
4. Acrylic Silicon.
5. Plexiglas.
6. 4 pieces Double-sided bolts, nuts and washers.

After shooting the video, I was pleasantly surprised at how good and practical a machine I created. I recommend it for every workshop. the materials invested are worth $ 10

Nice, only change I would make is to make opening the Cyclone much easier. Maybe with some snap latches instead of the nut & bolt method, or maybe with some wingnuts so you don't need spanner all the time
Great video
I have some tips for the construction. As larger is the diameter of the bucket, so lower is the velocity of the particles. The entrance must be at the tangent to the circle (important). The diameter of the pipe connected from the external suction unit must be 1/4 of the diameter of the cyclone tub. The length of the vertical tube which is inside the cyclone at 3/4 of the height of the cyclone. (not the total length only the upper).
Normally with calculations we can have more than 90% performance.
Friendly Antony.
👏🏻🤝👍🏻
Very very cool!!
Just science. Lower part can be bigger for dust deposit.
Very cool. One suggestion would to use wing nuts to take apart easily
It's a wonderful cyclone ♪
Thanks, it's still in use.
The Kärcher vacuum cleaner is also very suitable👍
you really need to think more carefully about safety when using a router
Indeed, I almost lost my thumb to mine, his grinder was a tad scary too 🫣
What is the pipe made out of? And what’s diameter of your dust separator?
A "simple" dust collector?
Geile Idee. Daumen hoch. Jedoch:
1. Entleeren umständlich, da 4 M-Schrauben zu entfernen sind.
Super👷👍
Congratulations, you made a vacuum into a bigger vacuum.
the four-bolt locking system is too complicated. A lever hook system would be better
im not if i can call that "simple" but its cool
What about when mom wants her vacuum back?
Simple?
A mini THIEN DUST SEPARATE. 👍
Very good
You didn’t think about how much trouble it would take to empty it, but you had enough brains to make the rest of it.
I miss the Power from that Vakuum cleaner.
Nice!
Everything else aside, that vacuum sucks. Like not in a good way
Some years ago I went ahead and bought the expensive doesn't work any better cyclone dust collector.
If that angle grinder hitches, don't try to catch it
It's not so good., is it. Because it's hard to dispose of trash.
How about not having to unbolt it for a start, that's just not smart at all.
Too complicated and clumpy
So I thought...this construction is...to me...useless..
Im sorry to say it is no so effective. It needs calculation of material bulk density to be suctioned, the air flow rate, the capacity of the blower with respect to the volume of tge cyclone. The cyclone consists of two body parts the larger symetrical cylinder to allow the clean air to exit. and a conical shape to reduce the velocity of air to allow the more dense particles to fall down but maintain a pressure from inlet to outlet port. Anyway nice effort.
What's not effective? It's still used, but with a vacuum cleaner for a workshop!
@@HandmadeCreativeChannel 👍🏻 It collects dust but i can't see any separation. Not enough CFM for my workshop. 👍🏻
not happy with this design, 90 degree bends, too small pipe, really innefficient
even for a simple vaccum'
a plastic bucket and a couple of elbows gives a better result in about 10th of the time it took to make this load of crap
