Thank you for this great video! It's exactly what I needed to upgrade the battery on my laptop.
hello! I have that laptop (Toshiba Z30-A) and I have that module free where, in the video, there is Sierra Wireless AirPrime, and I would like to ask if that module or m.2 connector (which is PCI express) is compatible with SSDs, that is , if a second SSD could be put in that socket. Thank you and greetings.
For ssd use nvme or m2sata ?
What type of screws does this laptop have?
Hi
I have found the screws holding the SSD VERY hard to remove, particularly the one closest to the center of the computer. I have done 2 so far but on the 2nd had to use "extreme" measures to get the inside screw out! Any tips? (note Toshiba Z30)
I work with hundreds of the Z30s at my place of employment - I'm in deskside support. The screws being over torqued is extremely common, and they're easy to strip. I've escalated this with Toshiba before and all they came back to me with was to take pliers to it. Personally, I've found through experience that a pair of wire end cutters (like so www.amazon.com/Beadalon-JTEC1-End-Cutter/dp/B004DGIS5G/) do a great job of catching the edge and allowing you to turn the screw out without scraping the motherboard - although as always you need to be very cautious.
Great video. Can you please let me know which is the wifi card.
What kind(s) of screwdrivers did you use (common cruciform or something else)?

no cambias la pasta termica... Que tiene de bueno este mantenimiento entonces? Si es para mostrar partes genial pero para mostrar como se hace un mantenimiento es totalmente erroneo
nice video... but I believe that the wireless card you replace is not wifi card but 4G sierra mobile card module. CMIIW
I have one and without the 4G card module. i installed SimCard and not detect. lately, I realize that I don't have the card installed. silly me.
You are probably right. My Z30-A has nothing in this slot, I wondered why the SIM slot was near there. I have wi-fi but no 4G. The connector is also different from wi-fi module.
5:43 What's This Chip????
Do you know where is the cmos battery and eventually where to buy it?
thanks
it's a simple CR2032 battery
PC.com ahhh okkk, thanks a lot :D
oooo.... my mistake..... it may be not so regular... not a CR2032
remove it and look for the same on ebay
I cant seem to find the cmos battery
So, does it have two SSD slots?
it's wi-fi slot
+PC.com ahhh OK, thanks!!
@@PCcom-me2bv Quite a disapointment if it is only wi-fi connector. The form factor looks much like m.2 2242 but seems to have too low mounting screw post. Some 128-256GB of disk space would've been welcome.
do you have a spare keyboard for this model? How much pls email me from PH
do you know how can I do a jumper
my z30-a is lock and I dont have id pasword and key
