i cannot begin to tell you how incredibly helpful this was!! i would also love to hear your thoughts on bioengineering as a route into pre-med, but thanks for the information you’ve already given! 🙌🏻 starting at university of louisville for bioengineering in about 2 weeks!
n n e I think its been going good, or at least to be expected for an engineering major! It certainly is more demanding than other majors, you really have to put hard work and consistent study into it. you’ll even notice it among your friends who have much more time than you if they’re a non-engineering major. but that’s just something you get used to, and is eventually manageable. it can sometimes be hard to see the point of all your hard work considering, at least at my school, you’re starting with foundational, difficult stem classes; not major specific classes. So sometimes it feels like endless pointless work but it does really pay off if you stick through it. at least as far as i can tell as a freshman lol. And in terms of pre-med, you definitely stand out more and would gain good critical thinking skills that other common majors often (not always tho) lack going into medicine. I also recommend talking to other bioengineers who are either seniors, or who are graduated and already working to get an idea of what they do. There are a TON of subfields for bioengineering that are very interesting to explore. So long story short, this route is definitely difficult but hard work would be the #1 thing to help you succeed (and would be useful to apply to medical school). its such a new field to be explored with many different routes that I think it’s at least worth giving it a shot

Hi, very interesting video. I'd like to ask you an opinion: what do you thing about biomedical engineering? Can it be considered sectorial enough to be taken into consideration in the world of work? Specifically, I'm ad the second year of medical engineering.
After the three-year university course, I'd like to specialize always in the field of Biomedical Engineering but more oriented towards electronics. In particular, I would like very mich to work in the field of implantable medical devices for example for the diagnosis of tumors, (or the case of Neuralink chips). Can I ask you for an opinion? Do you have any advice for me? I thank you in advance
Hey Sara, I am a high school student who's most probably going to major in Biomed, I'd love to discuss with you the pros and cons of doing so. Please drop your email.
Hi guys, Is it possible to do masters in Biomedical Engineering having a bachelors in Chemical Engineering? My question is mainly for masters in Germany.
I trying to decide whether I should major in bioengineering specifically neuroengineering or neuroscience because I want to help people who have neurological disorders. Is there any other majors I should look into?
What did you choose? Can you guide me please
Hey beautiful! I wanna start a new adventure.hihi. I did biochemistry in high school and then computer science in univ. Can I go for bioengineering for a masters? Or start over in college? Coz my Compt Science had no physics nor biology or chemistry. Cheers!
Hello Meghan, I have recieved admit from UCSD for MEng progrsm in Bioengineering with focus in Medical devices. Can you please tell me about the job opportunities after completion of the course. My another admit is from Boston which is the hub for medtech but California is next after Boston. I really do like the curriculum but really worried about job and career opportunities.
How'd you know i just finished crash landing on you? 😲😂
Thank u so muchhh
Are you an ENTP??
Thank you for the video, I cannot find other bioengineering majors. I am transferring this fall 2020
Is there anyway we could talk about cal bioengineering?
I am the premed route so I would love a video on that. I am looking to choose between cell/tissue or bio devices
np thanks for the reply. I actually thought this video was too niche and wouldn't apply to anyone. congrats on your transfer btw!
sure, I added my email in the vid description if you want to shoot me an email. and thanks for the suggestion, I can make a vid on that :)
Thank you
