Honestly, I am very entertained by your videos but it's extra nice to also learn through your experiences. Thank you for the last part about learning to accept uncertainty! As a bioengineering graduate now applying to master's programs, I'm feelin' it haha
So I just came across your video and I am starting my nasa internship this summer. It will be virtual, sadly so I am very much living my could be nasa in person internship experience through this video! Lol!
Haha I loveddd you video. Very funny and captivating. I just did an interview for nasa intern, so I’ve been watching so many vid abt nasa, but yours was deep and sincere. Thanks for sharing your experience !
i dont know much on nasa internships, but what i do know id that there are different types of internships you can take, and one of the ones ive been looking into doesnt require you to have prior knowledge
0:50 you internet nasa? Got it! 🤣hey don't we all? I hung out with JPL watching documentaries with them over youtube. It was really fun and cool. Oh you meant interned, nvm.
This is super cool. Before I switched from Business to Biology I always knew I liked NASA and learning about space. Its dope you got to intern there. I am considering going to Berkeley too because I live in The Bay, but considering I am coming from a community college where I did not take my classes seriously when I was younger, I don't think my previous grades will allow that. How did you find mentors? Were they just like teachers you had that you would ask advice frequently? I am super into bio and chem, but don't have any friends who are into that kind of stuff or mentors that can guide me. Any advice?
yep I owe a lot to my mentors who taught me so much! most of my mentors are from research/internships. teachers and older peers would also make great mentors
can you please guide how we can apply, as I am a chemistry student, I also want to apply, how can I? What are the requirements they are looking for? what experiences and all that? kindly guide
Hi Megan! I’m looking into applying for the NASA internship and i would love to ask some questions about the application process. don’t know if you’ll see this but i decided to give it a shot :)
Megan Amber so i’m just gonna throw out a list lol i’m so sorry if it’s too many 😖 1. i’m a little confused with the letter of rec. will the person i’m requesting a LOR have access to upload it through an email sent to them or how will that work? 2. although it said it’s okay if i had no prior experience, will i still have a good chance at getting an offer? also if i go to community college? 3. since the application is viewed worldwide with different agencies, is the location depending where i get accepted or do i get to choose? 4. when listing experiences, will it be okay if i do bullet points or will it be better to do sentences? 5. since resume submission is optional, would it be a good idea to still submit one? Thank you so much!!! 😊
sorry for the late reply!! 1. the LOR process may be a little different than when I applied. but through the nasa portal I listed the LOR provider and they should receive an email on how to directly upload the LOR to the portal (at least that's how I remember) 2. it's ok if you don't have prior experience, just be sure to show your passion of that field and what you want to do once you get there 3. I think it's depending on where you get accepted 4. mm iirc I did sentences 5. yes, I'd submit one
i found out what a discord is like yesterday. lol here's mine (join if ya want): discord.gg/CM2FDBjzDe

Holy shit! So what did you apply for to work on rovers? More importantly, what were you majoring in to get your foot into the door for rovers?!
It sounds like you need a ton of software knowledge
