I did not but shortly after I did my big bore kit with new ecu flash anyway. If you are just doing an exhaust or something similar and you were going to keep it like that for a while it does not hurt to reset the ECU at all. So I would say definitely give it a go
Just fit mine and have a gap between the mid pipe and muffler causing a leak. Looks like yours has the same issue, are you able to confirm this for me?
I never felt air coming from mine but there is a noticeable gap. The canister can slide on about 2-3 inches more probably if not for the mounting location. Unfortunately that’s just the style of it :/
@@RidinDad man that's really unfortunate. glad I didn't pay full price for this thing. the quality is so good I can't believe they'd overlook the fitment of the damn thing.
Hey how is the fitment on this thing holding up? I’ve seen some good and bad reviews on it. Also, have you noticed any power gains? I just got the new 2022 Grom and I’m debating on this exhaust or the yoshimura.
I have a prototype of the V&h,,its way stronger than the yosh, i off road some and it has more low end,,,2019 flash v%h ,k cam,xr200 stainles cam chain ,cam sprocket balanced and gramed,,fly whleel weighted (24grams), drilled oilways 4.5mil,,throtel body dremelled shortend,,its all abot ya flywheel kids, chop 0n🍀💪
@@RidinDadid like your opinion m8.. ,would you pay $1600 , for a v twin grom engine ???,,,iv built one from a Daytona lump,,,in set up now ,,looking go in to production later this year using the Daytona engine ,,,,Chers 🍀💪
I think that would be sick man!! Would it come with all the hookups and stuff? What else would one need if they bought your engine to make it plug and play?
im not mechanically inclined, i have a 2023 grom same as 2022... I have the same exhaust, but I have no tools.... So I am trying to see what the dealer would charge and they said prob 150$ to install it :/ does that seem reasonable.. How long do you think it would take to do this, there labor rate is 95 dollars an hour also said aboutr the same to install my yoshimura fairing eliminator
I would personally say maybe an hour tops? But I also would say that regardless of your skill level you could definitely install a small exhaust like this on a single cylinder motorcycle. You would literally have to be dumb as hell to mess it up. You could watch some RUclips videos on it for your specific year model and spend about $50 or less in some pretty good quality tools that should last you for a really long time if not your lifetime. That way you will have tools for the future and have a knowledge of your bike more than you did in the beginning
Lol I hear ya. It also sounds louder to the rider then brights due to the upswept. So it doesn’t carry as far down like a typical straight back pipe sounds. It’s a nice sound and especially with the stock engine size I think you’re ok. But there’s some others with quite inserts if you’re worried
Well thank you. And I’ve had people tell me good or bad. It’s divided. I choose to do the music because how I film the installs there’s a lot of blank time which would just be silent. Those who don’t like the music don’t have to listen to it too much but those that do get to enjoy music instead of complete silence
Adding the sounds affect of a pit crew while you’re working on it instead of music would be better, but when you’re riding or when you have the bike warming up at idle it’s best not to play any music at all, cause after all we want to hear the sound of your bike or other bikes that you film!!🤔 Cause honestly not everyone likes the music i like and I believe not everyone including myself like that new so-called rapp or all new music in general sounds BUNK AS F-:•k!!! I ordered an Amazon one. . Did u do a ecu reset after installing the new exhaust?

@@RidinDad okay thank you yes I'm keeping it stock other than the exhaust.
No problem man!
Sounds great man! Should throw the stock exhaust on the baby stroller in the background. JDM stroller yo!!!
Hahaha! I’ll be the coolest dad at the park lol. Thanks man!
Nice video. Can’t wait for my 2022 to arrive
Thanks man. Sweet!!!
I ordered a 2022 as well, I think yoshi makes the only exhaust for it so far. V&h is by far my favorite option for the last gen.
I love the way it sounds!
@@jonbakerocbpro8802 Zoom makes one for the 2022 now, ordered one !

Yeah, I don’t know man. It does suck for sure. Not sure why it’s like that.

Power is hard to tell since I put the bbk in it right after and torment I never had any issue with but I’ve actually sold the bike a little bit ago
@@RidinDad Thank you for the reply!
👊🏻
Oh dude!! That is so much better!
Right!? Doesn’t even sound like a grom anymore lol
Nice video, never rode one and need too! Ride safe
Thank you! You too 👊🏻
Vance and Hines Yeti to go coffee mug?
Huh??? 😲
Oh because of the shape? Lol
@@RidinDad there you go! lol
😂😂 I can’t believe I didn’t catch that till now lol
I really want this exhaust for my grom but there's so many other things I can get with the $380
Of course....there’s always a this or that situation with bike parts. Just a matter of what you wanna buy and when
Ridin Dad I ended up getting a used werkes exhaust, I wonder if the Vance and Hines is this loud too. I love it but its so obnoxious
The v&h is very loud lol. I’ve never heard yours in person but mine is definitely obnoxious. Good tone but super loud lol
I noticed at 7:05 you don’t have your crocs in 4 wheel drive. Very unsafe...
😂😂😂
Is V&H claiming any performance gains like the yoshi? I’m trying to decide which one to go with here..
Any aftermarket exhaust would benefit performance. Yes they claim performance gains
Just go online and read about it
Wish this full exhaust came in black.
Yeah I feel the same way about Harley’s exhaust setups that only come in black or chrome lol
Grom up my brotha

my neighbor complaining about my chinese pit bike...... just give me your stock muffler LOL
Lol. It’s already been sold
Sounds like my neighbors three wheeler when he made his own exhaust with just a 2 inch pipe
Alrighty
Nice!!
Thanks man!
Thanks!

Sounds good but will get me kicked out of all the lots lol.
Lol yeah it’s a tad loud for stunt lots depending on where you’re at
obnoxious is a good description.
Yeah it’s pretty loud
The loud bass music is annoying if you are using ear pods
Ok. Don’t use ear pods. Problem solved 👍🏻
are my neighbours going to hate me?
I don’t think it’s that bad lol. Honestly to me it sounds like a throaty 2 stroke almost
