I have noticed that you activate the Super Engine before the race starts. Thats actually a wrong way to do since the Super Engine activates itself automatically once the race begins, thus giving you a permanent boost of speed. Its a minor mistake that is easy to oversee.
So that's why I couldn't unlock the new skins faster! I would apply the codes and then do the one-lap races. That is very unfortunate. I don't understand why they would patch that out. 🤔
What I meant, I used characters that have skins unlocked via wins to grind for coins, so these wins also go towards unlocking these skins. Killing two birds with one stone.

I really wish I knew about this sooner! Cause it took me forever to unlock all the different skins. I had to keep doing all the different cups over and over again.
Other methods If you want to grind coins and unlock skins Yellow Gem cup (nitro fueled mode) or Nitro Cup give out the most coins If you want to grind skins and learn the tracks Either set up a private lobby during wumpa time, or play each cup more than once. Learning the track will help you on tackling those tropy and oxide ghosts. these two methods may be slower but they can help with knocking two birds out with one stone.

I have all the skins minus the legendary skins. But I usually just do things the old fashion way as it does make the races more fun and more getting used to using a different type of class character
lol, that's exactly what I did. It was nice getting the coins in addition to unlocking the skins. And you can do that mindlessly while listening to podcasts or youtube videos and stuff. Plus, now I don't lose on Jungle Boogie in online races...

These are the skins Beenox added by being lazy. Nobody wants recolours of all characters, the only skins that are good are the gold ones. They built the system for Microtransactions from the start.
All pointless (who asked for a purple haired Cortex?). I'd much rather only see good suits for example: normal crash, swimsuit crash, biker crash, space suit crash (from crash 2). Instead of bad ones like: blue crash, green crash, yellow crash. The bad suits are unlocked by playing the game while the good suits are locked behind a paywall. Beenox planned the micro transactions from the start, no use in blaming only Activision.
i just did one lap code on jungle boogie over and over and over again, i unlocked every costume aside of the pit stop ones. i'm collecting coins for future characters and karts, then when the gran prix are no more i buy everything else, without spending a cent of course.
Even though this trick doesn't work anymore another way is to just race with a friend in private match online over and over again and win to unlock the skins you need well that is how I do it now
You can just start adventure mode. The game then gives you a pop-up that tells you that you have to deactivate cheat codes if you want to play adventure mode and asks you if you want that. After this you can quit back to the main menu and all cheats are deactivated and trophies work again. (Restarting the game also works of course.)
5:46 - But it disables earning achievements/trophies, which is also for completionists. Or does that turn back on the next time you start the game up again?

what he didnt mention is that with this method, you dont get coins.... so since people probably want those "legendary" skins way more, than the colour swap and those take way more time to unlock, the fastest method to unlock ALL the skins is to just play the game for fun and switch characters from time to time....
i never cheated on this game and get skins legit by finishing cortex castle 3 laps straight and it takes me 1 hour overall to get every character skin individually
For crash racing: will I still be able to have the skin of a character before I have the character? Cuz I unlocked a skin with wumpa coins just so I would have it for when I do get the chance to get the character.. I just hope it's still available thanks

using cheats makes me feel dirty, i wish it was optional and who knows if cheats have any draw backs like disabling nitro or something while its on. but lets think, cocopark 1 minute 50 seconds total for 32 coins (use to be 86 before they patched it) vs around amounts of 360 to 180 by racing online.
Meh but the cheat codes on CTR are made only to have a fun time, they don't break the game at all, it disables all trophies and wumpa coins you earn when the cheat is on, and it deactivates the moment you enter Adventure or Time Trial Beware that using too many cheat codes may cause crashes and possible corrupt data, so better safe to create a backup before using them, just in case

Useful for getting skins on all of those Turn Class characters I will never use outside of Nitro challenges.

Actually, if you activate the Super Turbo AFTER the green light and THEN use the masks, you'll go even faster.

Yes, you can disable any cheat code by using it again and the game goes back to normal

I'm unlocking the recolors with the "On to the Next One" challenge everyday. Just Big Norm, Velo, Nash, Geary and the babies to go.

This is a fun idea but grinding the skins is more content for the game. I got everything through playing since I absolutely just love to race 😅

you have to go into another mode and quit that mode like he did (go to local race and go back to menu)

Nick ploos, you cant get them all with coins. You have to win a certain amount of races to unlock the majority of the skins
