Lovely bat rep guys, however, just to say, imo the decal in the dice tray makes it very hard to see the dice rolled 😅
I have yet to see a batrep since his release where the Lion is a key player in the match let alone the MVP. My search goes on.

I'm new to warhammer. My two oldest kids are getting into it with me and have told me that my wife is getting me/us the ultimate starter set for my birthday coming up. I'm looking forward to it but also want to eventually make a dark angels army. So glad to see this game.
BTW if anyone sees this. What exactly would it take to convert the ultimate starter set space marines to dark angels?
Some green paint mostly. Any space marine unit can be run as Dark Angels. Add whatever unique units you like and off you go.
There's also the DA upgrade sprue, although I believe the starter set is likely monopose so may be a little harder to swap bits out, although not certain on this.

Can someone help explain Vanguard Invaders to me? I'm not quite getting them
Vanguard Invader is just a keyword that is listed on various tyranid datasheets. In this case, a stratagem was used that allowed such units to be deployed as if it was one combat round later. Normally, strategic reserves are only allowed to be deployed starting combat round 2. In this case, the tyranids were able to deply two Vanguard Invader units from strategic reserves in turn 1.
Question for Michael - can a Neuro tyrant's Neurolids grant the Synapse keyword to a unit of Neurogaunts? .. they would be in "Synapse range of the army" - does that satisfy the Neurocyte wording calling out a "Tyranid Unit"?

35:15 I've watched a couple times and still dont really understand (it doesn't help that he failed the charge twice so we didn't get to see lol)....but can someone explain what he was trying to say about charging the genestealers and then "shoulder charging" into the mawlock and attacking it? How does this work
DA have a strat to do mortals on the charge. These mortals could kill the genestealers and then the unit could pile into the mawlock and then fight. VT have a video called Really get into the fight: advanced charge phase tactics that explains this tactic.
@@thomashutchinson1 fantastic. Thank you!.....but isn't wrath of the Lion capped at 3 mortal wounds? How can they then attack the monster having not declared it a charge target while still engaged with the genestealers?
@@samcook9542 Yes, it is capped at 3 MW but it looks like there are only 3 wounds of Genestealers left on that objective and with 7 D6, there's pretty good odds of rolling three (or more) 3 ups. To pull off te move, he would need the MWs to kill the genestealers (which doesn't count as fighting) so that he could then use his 3" pile in into the Mawloc. He could then still fight the Mawloc as that unit hasn't fought yet this phase and you don't have to declare something as a charge target to fight it in 10th edition, you just have to be within engagement range of it. In this case, as long as the unit got within engagement range of the Mawloc (using their pile in) and hadn't already fought that phase, they are eligible to fight it.

Small complaint but maybe I am just getting old and bad eye sight. I have a very hard time to see the models and terrain/ground as all the colors just more or less float together. It looks pretty though :)
