    Rick, what can I say. You are a real master and can make watercolor painting look manageable for many of us who are watercolor challenged. While I have been viewing many of your videos, many of my questions or concerns are answered.

    I just recently discovered you on youtube and I like the way you approach your paintings. A lot of watercolorist start with a full wash over the paper but I noticed you start with washes in specific areas and build upon that. I will give this a try on my own water color paintings. It seems you have more control over the watercolor itself. Great paintings! Love your work!

    • @RickSurowiczWatercolor
      @RickSurowiczWatercolor  6 лет назад +4

      Thanks Kenneth ! I do normally do build with targeted washes and don't often cover the entire page with a wash. I don't like to lose my pure white paper all at once. I feel it allows me to be loose, but in control.

    This painting is so lovely. Your subtle marks describe the planks and the naturally "weathered" look of the barn. I love the suggestion of the four-pane windows and the tree trunks as well. Thanks for the tutorial.

    Thank you, Rick, for this lesson. You've helped me so much with a painting I've been working with for about 6 months..... yes, I said 6 months. Wasn't too sure how to handle the big barn I took a photo of. I'm going to try your approach.

    Waiting for the day that I just don't make a total mess with all of that water.
    I guess when that happens I can take off my L plates..
    This negative painting caper really intrigues me.
    I really enjoyed that lesson.Thanks Rick.

    Excellent video demonstration. Yes, you are a true professional. I am also an Internatlonal WC. We have somdewhat different techniques. I would prefer DARKER ontop, LIGHTER below, indicating the REFLECTION of horizon ground up on vertical planes. Otherwise, MAGNIFICENT ! Amen.

    Rick I have reviewed your video’s and I haven’t seen anything on painting. I attended a class today and she did a variety. I didn’t grasp the lesson and figured I’d come home and watch one of your videos and couldn’t find one. Do have have any suggestions on someone who I could watch. Thanks.

      Hi Tamra, I'm not sure I understand your comment "I have reviewed your video’s and I haven’t seen anything on painting" . All my videos are about painting with watercolor. What exactly are you looking for in a video, something other than watercolor?

    What brand one inch brush are you using on this painting? Is it a Silver Black Velvet?

    • @RickSurowiczWatercolor
      @RickSurowiczWatercolor  5 лет назад

      It is. I like to use Silver Black Velvet for my 1" flat, 1/2 " flat, and round wash brush (Jumbo round small)
