I will say this I am a coin collector and the one thing I do not have is any coins like the ones you have discovered mud larking in London nor anywhere else I would definitely would appreciate if you have any duplicates of any coins from your finds I would love to include them in my coin collection if you do not object, I would be much appreciative because I am one of your big fans here in the US.
Cuffs is a Very Handsome Man !
Sundays are always better with Si !
Aw thanks Mello 👍🏻🐾🧡
Your very welcome Si. Happy Sunday ! 😁 Much love from Louisiana ❤️❤️
I know the Thames‘s pins and the printing letter type are such simple items but I find it fascinating that you can find those tiny things on the river banks and that they’re so old! The garnets also because of how little they are! Thanks Simon!💕💕WV🇺🇸
Cheers Lynette! Yes from small pins to huge anchors, there’s much to be found
Oi Oi! Si must be Sunday 🍻🍻
Alright Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
I used to make toy soldiers out of lead. All you need to do is make a mold with plaster and use a plastic toy soldiers for the positive. Lead melts at a lot temperature all you need is propane torch to melt it
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Si, you and Cuffs, found all kinds of wonderful treasures. That George II coin looked mint. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks so much Debbie!
It would be beautiful it you took the dress hooks and put them together with jewels to make bracelets and earrings also necklaces!
Great idea!
Thank you Si and Cuffs, for venturing out on cold and dark rainy nights to find such interesting treasure ! Fascinating to see the coins, the gunpowder measure, and learn about the previously unheard of raspberry prunts ! 🙂
Thanks so much!
Hello Friend,
So nice to go for a treasure hunt with you. No matter what comes out of the earth it is always worth the dig in one way or another. Thanks for including your fans.
Greetings from North Carolina U.S.A.
Totally agree!! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Great finds. A great friend is a lovely thing to have. Thank you "Cuffs". for your kind gift to our friend Si. Blessings 🙏🐕🇺🇸
I'm always amazed at how clean Cuffs seems to stay during these mudventures. He always looks as if he just stepped out of a Northface shop. It's so fun to watch the two of you find treasure. Thanks for all the wonderful videos.
lol. Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Before London upgraded their sewer system it was common to find number 2’s in the Thames Si , don’t make a habit of finding them or Cuffs might give you a new nickname 😝🍻🍻
Hello!! Good sunday!!
Hi Lara
These little traders' tokens of Cuffs must have been dropped whilst still quite new and landed straight into the lovely mud and been cocooned for 300yrs rather than battered on the stones and rocks. Well impressed with the mighty screw! The cufflink was the find of the day!
Well done cuffs and Si
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
I guess it is a cap of gentlemen's walking stick, you should give it to Tobias he would love that. Lovely night lark, thanks for taking with you. I will get me a head lamp just in case I end up on the foreshore by darkness!
Haha. Good idea
I was imagining Cuffs strolling down the beach to the tune of 'Stayin' Alive' a la John Travolta. 🤣
Haha!
Happy Days!!!!! Your expressions always make me smile!!!!! I also like trying out these reactions here in the USA, it’s interesting the different ways people respond when I say”happy days” instead of “cool” or “awesome”
Haha, I wish I was a fly on the wall when that happens!
You looking at the arrow shaped piece of metal makes me 😂 LOL , it reminds me of the series Detectorists on the BBC when he finds the top of the railing and thinks it’s a Saxon arrow 😂😂, great video watching all day on a wet Sunday
Haha yes I remember that!
Yayyyyyyy!! Sooo happy to finally get to catch up with you, Si, on the foreshore! ( : Love when you lark on the foreshore! ( : Well, a musket ball is better than nothing. Right?! ( :
Yayyyyyyy!! Your first coin!! Woo hoo! ( : Nice. George the 2nd, ha'penny! Sweet! ( : Hi Cuffs! ( : Welcome to the nighttime fun on the foreshore! Lol! ( : Wow. It is really raining! Geesh! What is a love token? A silver one at that! Great find! True! Old buttons are awesome! ( :
Wow, cuffs just found a 17th century token! Fantastic! And a cufflink too! The coin is sooo amazing and in great shape! It seems it would be rare!
I love that resin flower! It is beautiful! ( : Geesh, Cuffs! Another fantastic find! An oldie! ( :
I was thinking wow. That is one heck of a screw! I would definitely keep that too! It is really cool! ( : Wow. Look at the old dress hook too! ( :
Nice blob glass to help hold a glass. It does look like that! It does look like a raspberry prunt. ( : Two spears in one night too?! Crazy! ( : This second spear head looks ancient, though! How cool is that gunpowder measure?! So nice! A definite piece of history! ( : Wow. All the way from the 1600's?!! That's amazing! ( :
Cuff found another nice coin? What an interesting piece! Another 1700 coin? Geesh! What a find 300 years later!! Soooo cool! ( : Cool find the end of a cane/parasol! Neat! ( : Another 300 year old piece and the love token was 300 years old too?! Wow, it was tossed away! Not good for the lover. Sooo great how all your friends cleaned up all your finds, Si! You found the best things! ( :
Nice nickname for cuffs! Love it and what a good friend to give you a pair!! ( :
Thanks Si for the video 👣🧡 great finds 👍🏻 , cuddle’s for Nelson 🐾

Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Mega find’s! Love the George II coin, looks like it was made just yesterday, haha! 👍⚓️
Yeah it does!! Cheers dude
I didn't pay much attention to the things you found because I was too distracted by the pretty lights 🤩🤣
London at night is something special ❤️ I must come see it in real life sometime!!
Edit: Just watched again! Nice coins Si!
Cheers Beth, you’re right! They are beautiful especially when reflecting on the Thames!
You found some good treasures. It's always nice to see them cleaned up and learnt about at the end. Thanks Si xx
Cheers Gaynor! 👍🏻🐾🧡
You could rebuild London with all those bricks.lot of history and human stories in those ubiquitous and numerous lumps of fired clay
Another great video! Love the finds! Sundays with Si!
Cheers Jana!
Luv the Cuffs! Gus is a nice friend :) Thanks for sharing.
All that work! taking precious time away from my mudlark-viewing!
You and Cuffs had a some true luck in the muck..
Wonderful coins (I like the story behind the lovers coin) and the parasol/walking stick nub.
Cuff's long distance Spanish coin was interesting and the William II coin, nice!
Thanks for taking us along, Si
hello from Denmark 🌸 ❄️
I'm drooling over the rocks/stones - especially the hag stones, and the more polished ones. I LOVE the historical finds, too. I wish I could participate in such things, but I'm way over the pond, and not licensed for such a thing.
Simon, the rock behind the "sword" looked like a face! Check out at 12:32! It was creepy! Cuffs is a great friend. Keep him!
Good times, good friends, good finds
Cheers Paddy!
Love the night larking.💛
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Love these videos m8! Keep up the great work! Watching from Atlanta, Ga, 🇺🇸
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Nice finds by both you and Cuff. The Thames is a never ending giver of finds. Hope you and Cuff’s families are safe and healthy. See you on the next. 🏴🙂👍🇺🇸
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Great finds lads 🖤🖤
Cheers Claire!
Hi Simon. The "spear head" that Cuffs found looks a lot like a bronze age spear head that an instructor 3d printed from the British Museum. It wasn't sharp either. The class was on bronze casting where we made a bronze age spear head and a viking era axe head. The printed spear head was used as the positive for sand casting with bronze. It was an amazing adventure. Once again I am very fortunate to have people in my life who teach amazing skills. Here's an idea...the large screw would look amazing suspended in a resin light.🙂
That one was iron so most likely a tool. Like the resin idea!
@@Sifinds too bad. Wouldn't it be awesome if it was though. I have been watching these videos on my phone so don't always see things clearly. I will always trust your knowledge of these things. Sorry if I am coming across as being negative. Just getting excited about the finds.😁
@@janicescragg2388 thanks Janice. You’re not negative at all! I think that was a positive and valid comment. Keep em coming!
Oh wow, such wonderful old finds. 👍
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Fantastic finds! Your videos are a new family tradition to watch every Sunday! Next time you're in Utah USA could you bring some tokens and talk at our club meeting for the "National Utah Token Society"? The NUTS club 😁🤙
I'd love to!
Wow that halfpenny is in amazing condition.
They are listed online for around 60 pounds (over $100 Australian dollars).
I haven’t seen any of the mud larks I watch, find a halfpenny in such good condition, well done.
Imagine, it’s been around for close to 300 years, and who knows how long it was in the Thames River 😳 simply amazing. Such an evocative little object. Forget about the monitory value, for me it’s the historical day dreams that it evokes.
If only we could know the adventures that coin has been on.
Brilliant Simon, thanks so much for sharing your adventures with me. Much appreciated.
🙂🐿🌈❤️
It’s the history for me too x glad you enjoy the vids!
That first musketball was large. I thought they were smaller. Love that evening cityscape with the boat by was lovely. I’m curious, what would be the purpose of the resin daisy, a paperweight on a lady’s desk? A decoration? That’s a large screw. I love to hear the history behind the pieces. Thanks for a wonderful hunt.
Decorative garden wall feature i should think
Thank you for this exciting video. I am fascinated by all the finds. Take care and cheers.
Cheers LS!! 👍🏻🐾🧡
@26:07 bahahaha! Your giggle at your own innuendo = priceless. Way to commit to it! hahaha
Well spotted ; )
@@Sifinds I'm a teacher. We spot everything! Haha
It looked so cold out there in the rain and really spooky in the dark. You two found some awesome finds, congratulations.
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Muchas gracias 🙏🏻
I love that flower
Loved it 💜🍁🐘🇨🇦🤗
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Learned a bunch, especially about the knobby bits on the glass to prevent a slip.
You should send that flower you found over to Dirty Secrets of Scotland. Sarah would do a great job painting it. Nice finds.
Amazing finds!! Well Done!
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
The love tokens history is interesting. New to me.
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Amazing how much history you have to know about so many items.
Yes it’s a great way to learn!
Hey Si! Great finds! That laugh of yours and that big smile when you and Cuffs find something special is fun to hear and see. I love when you talk about the history of the different items. Thanks for the journey and the history lessons.
I could hear Flo's voice proclaiming she'd found a raspberry prunt as soon as you picked it up. I guess I spend to much time on Instagram 😅
Some nice small finds today with a bit of history as well. 👍
Haha. She is the prunt expert alright!!
Hello from the states 🇺🇲, love chilling to these mudlarking videos.
Great video Si!!
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Thank you for the fun adventure and you really got us on the little tiny screw trick!! 🤣
Ha! Did it work!?! Awesome
I love it when you find old coins! I wish I were able to do the same. I live in Pensacola,FL and we don't have anything like the river Thames to search. I'm seventy three and do find coins at the beach medal detecting. Some are so worn by the surf you can't read them. By the way, I love to hear you talk.LOL I'm very southern, born in A!abama, so you probably would say the same about me. Enjoy your videos💙
Love from the old lady in Texas may God bless you always and forever
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Wow, great old finds - especially the Queen Anne cuff link. You’ve inspired me, Si, I’ve ordered a beginner metal detector for my 74 th birthday present. I hope to have some “luck in the sand” on our beach vacation. Cheers!
Yay! You’ll love it. Wishing you luck in the muck. Lol
Thank you Si and Cuffs.
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
So glorious to see London at night !!! Thank you for sharing this night mudlark with us

Love the night London scenes and all your finds.
Hey Si, I really enjoyed today's video. The really old coins are some of my favorite things that you guys find on the Thames.
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Great finds! I’m always amazed at what you find in the dark. Beautiful!!💕😺😺😺
Cheers Jackie! 😂🐾🧡
That is so weird because earlier in the video I was wondering about the name "Cuffs", having never heard it before. Thank you for the explanation. Great finds!
Pleasure 👍🏻🐾🧡

Awesome finds Si. And what history to go with it! Love it!! Teresa 🇦🇺❤
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Some really cool finds on this one, awesome mudventure!
Great finds Si. Looking forward to your next mudscapade.
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
I really appreciate the night adventures on the foreshore! I think Cuffs did find a spearhead! Nothing more was mentioned of it but it certainly looked like the Roman spearhead a friend of mine owned. Pins and pipes aren’t as alluring as the cufflinks, trade and regular old coins. This video was a pleasant break from all the Ukraine invasion vids. Glad I’m a subscriber!
Thanks Pat!
I'm just always amazed at your finds and a bit jealous! I would love to go mudlarking there!
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Oh why oh why can't CUFFS be SINGLE!!! We are like twins!!
Awesome finds guys!!! Your video's instantly make me want to mudlark!
I'm getting a suspicious feeling that Cuffs comes down beforehand and puts all his great stuff on the foreshore. He's a finding machine. ( so are you Si)
Haha, we both do alright!
Great stuff Si! You and Cuff's are a pleasure to watch.
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Always amazing!!!! I look forward to every Sunday video! Thank you.
Cheers Mudlover 👍🏻🐾🧡
Great vlog, really enjoyed your photography and scenic views
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Fun mudlark!
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻👣🧡
Toujours un véritable moment de détente🎬🔬🍀 ALEX Amiens🌹🌌
Merci!
Finally got a chance to watch! Better late than never and I would never miss an episode!
Such wonderful finds! I love the old coins and the mysterious object waiting to be cleaned and uncovered! You never know what you will find! Such beautiful views of the bridge and lights of the city! So awesome!
the city looks glorious in the night haze
It does!
I love the way you bring silver to life, but I'm curious, what is the best way to clean tarnished blackish looking silver, with no special machinery, and on a limited budget? I have a chunky silver chain that belonged to my auntie and I'd love to restore and wear it. I'd be grateful for any replies.
Awesome video Si and Cuffs, I'd been wondering why he got called cuffs, my guess was that his surname was Cuffe 🤣
You 2 are good to watch together, you always look like your both having a great time, plenty of banter.
Thanks Si and Cuffs 🤗💛
What a beautiful little trade token, really enjoyed the video. I always think when I see mudlarkers picking up those tiny pins, they need a telescopic magnet with an LED like I have in my craft tool box.
The pins are brass
@@Sifinds Interesting, I didn't lnow that.
