Unicron becomes the power.
As a fan of Transformers Unicron is funny to me, because almost all of his absurd powerscaling comes from comics. In G1 he's just a big robot that turns into a planet that eats other planets, and releasing the matrix blows him up - he doesn't die though as his head starts orbiting cybertron and he is still technically alive in there he just can't do anything independently. Then there is comics continuity where The One Above All made the multiverse and then made Unicron to explore its creation. Unicron HATED the noise of the multiverse and wanted to return to the silence of the void - so he ate it. The whole thing. First multiverse gone. Then The One Above All split Unicron into two, one half remaining Unicron and the other being molded into Primus, the creator god of the Cybertronians and the planet Cybertron. I am pretty sure the "acausality" part of Unicron's powers isn't just ignoring cause and effect but is instead in reference to him and Primus being multiversal singularities - Unicron only exists in one branch at a time until he either destroys it or is cast out via the power of Primus contained in the Matrix of Leadership, and Primus existing in every branch all at once.
Also Unicron in the 1986 movie is the last cinematic appearance of Orson Wells, which is neat.
Furthermore, he was created by an immortal inventor, Primacron, to absorb the universe to recreate in his image (in "Call of the Primitive"). Primacron was the true power to be wary of.
What is with these cosmic eldritch creatures always starting off with being in a void, seeing existence and hating it lmao. Isn’t that literally knulls origin too?

It was going so well until Mauler basically went “well the property that most people know this character from should be factored.” Like that’s such a weak argument since Smash is a game where literally every character needs a chance of winning without Lore getting in the way

You can't expect everyone on the panel to have seen/played/read every piece of media these characters came from, they had to draw their references from a source that most people were familiar with at some point, otherwise this wouldn't have gone anywhere. Besides, I think you're taking this silly powerscaling discussion a bit too seriously, it was never meant to be seen as a debate based on "strong" or "weak" arguments to reach an objective truth- we all know the headless horse dude was the true universe ender all along, after all.

@@MarcusTalks1 I don't think you need to have seen anything that Unicron is in to understand how absolutely stupidly overpowered he is and is unmatched by, seemingly, anything else you can come up with. The dude is basically the embodiment of "Oh yeah? Well *myyyyy* robot is as strong as infinity times infinity! He beats yours! There!", and even though it was super entertaining to listen to Theo lose his mind over it, they should have given Unicron the same treatment they gave to Bugs and Steve- if only just to have the final rounds be less predictable.

Every time I look back on World of Light in Smash, I always see Kirby as the only one who survived while everyone else got annihilated all Thanos-style
For Unicron, his main power boost comes from the comics - they made him STUPIDLY overpower. The various shows and movies make him much more manageable and imo, more interesting to actually discuss a "who would win fight" - not that this wasn't interesting, especially with the other god-characters

One of the very few shows where I watched it through to the end exclusively because of the gimmick.
Saw the first episode, thought "wow, this is shit", and then I proceeded to watch all 12 episodes.
Like, the curiosity for just how FAR they are willing to go with it was somewhat entertaining, but overall, quite shit of a show.
It is like if One Punch Man was JUST the One Punch Anti-Climax joke.
I mean, I guess there were some neat things here and there, like the fact that the villains were also (comparatively) OP and tried different strategies to get around the main characters bullshit, but overall, pretty garbage from I saw.
But yeah, no kidding that THAT character is completely outrageous.

Efap, and frankly most GoW players dont realize how stupid powerful Kratos is. Kratos in the original trilogy is strong enough to casually one hand lift the weight of the universe and has multiple faster than lightspeed feats, and he only gets stronger the older he gets.
When we get to GoW ragnarok Thor punches the world serpant so hard he sends it tens of thousands of years back in time, and splinters the world tree, and Kratos is stronger than him.
Essentially Kratos is at the weakest assumption multiversal plus plus.
people all seem to thing Superman is the strongest, but his best feats put him so far below what are always thought to be more reasonable characters.
I still stand firm in my belief that DoomGuy would not, could not, hurt Santa Claus, for DoomGuy is a devout Christian.
And Santa Claus could probably kill Unicron if given enough Christmas cheer, and if it was a pure hearted child’s one Christmas wish. Santa on his own is powerful, but when granting Christmas wishes he has no limit, just the ones he imposes on himself.
If Unicron was on the Naughty List, Santa could deliver him enough coal to render him useless. Kirby could kill Unicron too, given Kirby doesn’t have limits, he just does whatever he needs to at any given moment, so long as you don’t steal his food, he won’t hold a grudge and come trying to get it back and wreck your shit in the process.
Hell in Squeak Squad he just assumed King DeDeDe stole his cake, so he stormed up to his castle, decimated his army, and kicked DeDeDe’s ass for a crime he didn’t commit.
Now this mind you was long after DeDeDe reformed (he was only ever a villain in the first game) and Kirby worked together with DeDeDe to save the world multiple times by this point.
Kirby just assumed it was him, no evidence, no real reason, just an assumption based on past experience, a past DeDeDe has actively tried to make amends for by that point.
What I’m getting at is, you don’t steal Kirby’s food, that’s a one way ticket to getting fucked up.
We never did find out who took the goddamn cake in the end by the way, Kirby just kind of gave up finding that out after killing a Dark Matter entity and then being given a new slice of cake from the Squeaks as a both a reward and a way to make amends. It still bothers me that the guy who stole Kirby’s cake is just out there still, on the loose, waiting for his next chance to strike and steal more cake.
Next time he does it, Kirby will find someway to get himself wrapped up in a conspiracy to reawaken a dark foe through blood sacrifices and ancient dark rituals again, for maybe the third time depending on how you read certain things, it’s at least the second time, I know that much. Poor Kirby never got justice for the crime committed against him… not that he cares, that new cake looked pretty good, so he was happy.
Unicron isn’t unbeatable, mainly because of the matrix of leadership. Bascially if Unicron is satan, then Primus, unicrons brother, is god (where Unicron destroys Primus creates).
The matrix of leadership is an item Optimus prime posses which is bascially Primus’ power source, and its bacially unicrons cryptonite in most continuities. Also unicrons power level ranges massively through continuities, in the original G1 animated series he can eat planets, but only bevause he literally is big enough to do so, and he doesn’t have any multiverse bending bullfuckery, because he’s just really big, and has some omnipotent powers like being able to transform (wink wink) the things close to him, like how he turned the disobedient Megatron into the obedient pawn Galavtron, but even then Galvatron tried to become free of Unicron often throughout the movie.
On the other hand, with the comics and stuff dude is bascially galactus, so to conclude, no, I do not think Godzilla would beat Unicron.

If we base every game characters power off of “can they lose to the weakest enemy in the game” then that’s kinda dumb. But if we do “canonically he was injured and struggled against X boss character” that’s manageable. Makes sense considering no matter how well you play, that cutscene will canonically happen. @@Bleeperblopper497 Kirby literally gets the means in every game he's in. Alone he'd probably get folded, but his circumstances alone are a sort of pseudo plot armor, and it's amazing and makes for a funny meme.
A truck literally fell out of the sky in the recent game, which he used to race on flying debris to annihilate a reality warping creature with the power of friendship and a big rig travelling at 100mph. The creature itself indirectly provided that truck and the pathway.

something to keep in mind for Green Lantern is that he's weak to the color yellow (granted, not many would know this to be able to capitalize on it - but anyone who is naturally yellow would be at some advantage - also keep in mind, GL knows of his weakness and knows of various ways around it) - for the fight with Kirby, his star would be a solid counter to GL - if they meet in the air, GL would need a way of destroying the star without directly touching it with his constructs (example, covering it with dirt or direction gusts of wind or meteors at Kirby - or just trying to attack Kirby directly, but due to Kirby's speed and powers while on the star, GL would have roughly only 1 shot)

Star Dream is the same type of omnipotent wish-granting entitiy but with Haltmann fused to it's OS, it becomes hyper-intelligent, too.
Galacta Knight was summed by Meta Knight wishing on the Omnipotent Star Dream, but Galacta Knight *casually* incapacitated Star Dream with a single backhanded slash, and Meta Knight beats Galacta Knight only to be beaten by Kirby over and over again. Galacta Knight btw was so powerful he was considered the most powerful warrior alive in the time of the ancients who built Nova and Star Dream, and the only way they could stop him at a time where they had literal wish-granting devices, was to lock him away beyond space and time and then write up rules for said wish-granting devices not to summon him back to our universe.

Not all Gods are created the same. Some games gods are weak and beaten by mortals, others can never hope to be defeated by anything.
Something I mentioned in the stream's comments as well is that, with the right tools, Kirby can break the fourth wall as well by inhaling the health bars of bosses. Kirby on round 3 has a good chance of being the most powerful character in fiction simply because he has destructive powers outside of fiction.

A problem with Unicron is the same with Dc and marvel characters in that there are so many different iterations of the character with slightly different power levels/feats despite the fact every version canonically used to be the exact same

When it comes to Unicron, he is a singular entity that exists across all realities. When destroyed in one, he is in essence banished from that reality. While the Matrix is the one thing, the ONLY thing, that can stand in his way, he was destroyed for a second time by Wreck-Gar planting a whole bunch of explosives under Unicron's head - this was after The Movie where he had mind controlled all the Junkions to rebuild him.
Did I mention he has god-level psychic powers? And he once snatched Galvatron from an alternate reality to do his dirty work?
Honestly if Cthulhu could just win every fight by his mere existence even asking the question is redundant isn’t it?

Kirby has beaten mechanical planets before.
I think it's funny that they think Saitama couldn't take out Cthulhu when he's just a priest to the actual gods in the Lovecraft mythos and his main story, The Call of Cthulhu, has all this build up to his awakening only for him to take a ship to the gut and shuffle back to bed to sleep it off. The guy who rammed the ship into him lives through it and even though he was understandably freaked out and traumatized, did not go stark raving mad.
Admittedly they seem to be going off pop culture perception or some power list wiki, so who knows.

Mewtwo's moveset answers everything Kratos has. Barrier/Light Screen, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Recover. The last wouldn't be necessary as Kratos wouldn't be getting a shot in anyway.

Unicron is not the only stupidly overpowered mech, don't forget Mazinger ZERO or Demonbane! For ZERO, it took every mech in existence to defeat it (so an infinite number mechs), and Demonbane, a mech literally made to defeat Cthulhu and can send any being to a Hell dimension through a weapon that emulates the power of ancient gods.

To be fair Kirby already beat Zero2 (2 like in (x)squared) and Void Termina which are basically just Unicron
A lot of people are crapping on unicron because he seems very overpowered, but the reason he’s that strong is because in the comics he’s a background god figure. He specifically isn’t supposed to be something the characters actually fight or interact with, his overall self is the reason bad things happen and their are avatars of Unicron to fight, but the actual main guy is more so world building element than a character. So it’s not a kid saying “nu huh he’s the coolest most invincible thing ever” he specifically lost in his backstory multiple times and his attempts in the story are trying to escape that failure and win again.
Also for what he is, the writer do it so well. Usually hate very edgy characters but his speech on what he’s about is gold. Though long.

Goku is the benchmark to measure every other “OP character” by. I’m shocked by how many people actually think Satoru Gojo could beat Goku, as if Goku couldn’t just destroy the planet and wait until Gojo suffocates.
For mewtwo, which generation did they take him from? Because what he can do varies dramatically depending on when he's from.

Kirby is like almost joke character level like bugs bunny and Arale Chan, he has things like storage with infinite space and instantaneous travel via the star he rides. I think Kirby takes it.

I feel like the whole Goku argument tends to forget that Beerus wiped the floor with Goku, and Whis is more powerful than that (then of course the Xenos).
Something out into perspective is that Saitama has probably one of the highest mental acuity in all of history. Part of his gimmick is infinite strength, durability(both mental and physical), as well as elemental immunity. In order for him to actually be defeated he would have to have some kind of limiter on his abilities.

Goku is not immortal in the lore, he technically died. Kirby kinda is immortal.

Unicron cant control time. He exists outside of causality but he doesn't control it. If kirby can stop time he can technically control causality. I feel like that wins? Maybe.
