I understood about half of the Marlee Matlin parts. Not so much the signs but the speed. If it were slowed down I would have understood more. But this is practice for me so its good that I can learn how to put stuff together from only half a sentence.
Yes, there were lot of hesitations and thinking pauses from the interviewer CJ and the interviewees, too. Only Katie LeClerc were quick in her answers and sure of herself. So the umms from the interpreter may be due to the hesitations of the deaf participants. CJ did repeat and rephrase quite frequently, when asking a question to the cast.
