In 2017, I was scrolling through RUclips and found your channel. This was about 6 months before my first trip to Manila to meet my wife's family. I found it educational and very interesting. Even my daughter, who is 1/2 Filipino, was watching and learning. I still remember the first episode that I watched. It was on Mano. I actually got to experience it when we entered my wife's Tito's house, and his grandson greeted us with Mano. It was an amazing experience that has my wife and I wanting to retire in the Philippines.
I agree we never stop learning, when you become a doctor you keep learning and growing as doctor and it’s the most important thing. When we met someone we do "mano" by getting the hands of older people vowing and putting the hands of on our forehrad as a sign of respect. We also do it with our elders in the afternoon before getting dark as a gesture of respect to them. 3. Simple living out of vanity and many other original Filipino traits, cultures and traditions.
Even if you are now legally Filipino, you're still becomingfilipino because you're still learning the filipino culture and tradition. Also, you are still learning a lot of things, for example, the language. You cant even speak Filipino and Bisaya well so dont change your alias. The only difference being you a foreigner and now a Filipino citizen is the rights; you now have certain rights in the country. But that doesnt change the thing that you are still learning to be a Filipino, I am a little bit technical but that's the essence of becoming a filipino.
