The problem with the "dating game" is that it's seen as a game. My last serious dating relationship can be summed up in her grand statement that "we'll get married, you will buy me a lakefront house, a boat, 2 jetskis (I can't swim so one wouldn't be mine) and a new car every 2 years...and if it doesn't work out, we'll just divorce and split everything 50/50". She's why I gave up dating in the late 90s.

I've been married for 41 years. To the same woman. The only advice I have for the young men out there is find a woman who was raised by a married couple that never split, they have a good relationship with their father, and you find their mother attractive and warm.
Last part sounds kinda weird, but I'm guessing you mean the mom is personable and nurturing. Also while I don't necessarily disagree with your advice, I'd say you should look for someone with strong family values. Because plenty of people, men and women, in my generation fit this description but don't have family values, or are not interested in any traditional relationship. Plus a lot of people don't fit this description because of unfortunate events outside of their control, but do have strong family morals.

Let's face it, men tend to understand other men better and while that doesn't mean you have to force yourself to be gay, you might find that simply being with close male friends is more fulfilling than dating women. However in my personal experience there are still a lot of good women out there its just harder to find them. Honestly, a big problem with simping is not just the apparent lack of self respect or desperation, its the fact that there is NEVER any promise of any sort of reciprocation on the woman's part. A guy can empty out his life savings buying her designer clothes, diamond jewelry, giant bouquets, gourmet chocolates, expensive dinners, etc, and that same woman might not even bother to learn his name, but keep all the gifts and show them off on social media without showing any gratitude for them. Its sheer exploitation of male lonliness and generosity. Our western culture does not teach women to court or woo men. Women just expect men to come to them and compete for their affection. But modern feminism teaches women that they never owe men anything at all, even a little bit of basic attention. On the other hand, if she only hangs out with you or talks to you when you're paying for that dinner and a movie, and you don't have any sort of physical relationship, then yeah, it's simping. The difference is that in one case you're doing something nice for a woman who'll return the favor, the other is that you're getting taken advantage of.
