This was a great station to come to and I'm so glad I finally came here when the weather was on my side as it made the day that much more enjoyable :) Albeit from the pacers lol
Hopefully someday Exeter will have a 7 day a week year round service to Okehampton if the re-opening campaign is successful, thumbs up from me Jarred, thoroughly enjoyed watching.
Are you kidding? Thank you. Sorry it took so long to respond, my Channel is keeping me busy as well as the everyday grind. Gotta watch in bunches sometimes, but it's bunches of greatness tho! B.P.
Unlike the London-Bristol Railway Brunel had to construct the section from Exeter to Plymouth at least on a Shoestring Budget however he did leave at least one outstanding legacy on that route The Royal Albert Bridge crossing The River Tamar at Saltash he also thought of the concept of Atmospheric Powered Trains. There's a Preserved Atmospheric Pumping House at Starcross i think it's still there I'm not sure but despite that you put together another fantastic clip Jarred inspite the somewhat hiccuped departure with The HST service to Glasgow Central
IT's amazing to think of the work that went into building this section of the line once he had already done his London to Bristol section. But it really paid off in the end, loads of passenger interest and it gave people the chance to come down to Devon and Cornwall from the capital without having to partake in lengthy horse carriage journeys that wouldn't have been overly safe in unfavourable weather conditions. But I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, I loved coming here this was area station to come to and one that I will happily be coming back to later in the year I would have thought
Excellent video, really enjoyable and hooray no wind. I really wish aliens would appear and take away all the Pacers so we don't have to suffer them anymore. I look forward to the next video. Be well and keep safe, regards Gary.
Thanks very much, I loved coming to this station there was so much to see here and the weather really helped as well haha, only another year to go and the pacers will be gone from the whole network hopefully
Good video, and the weather topped it off. Some of these trains really need to change their units, like at my local station, Bournemouth to Manchester with 4/5 coaches?!?! Also the Penzance to Dundee with a Voyager isn’t good either. To be fair I think the local one is a voyager as well. Also that SWR livery is disgusting, keep the old one I beg, and the GWR 150 just looks a bit weird imo. Great video mate, excited for the next
Thanks very much, the weather really made this way more enjoyable and the sea conditions were perfect that day. XC really do need to upgrade their fleet so that they have trains that are designed for long routes with heavy passenger numbers. I see so many of their trains overcrowded because of where they go. I hate the new SWR livery, it is so bland and boring to look at
I wonder how many people watching this didn't know GWR have Pacers (only 8 units) and that XC have HSTs (only 5 sets)...? uncommon types for those operators!
Given the routes that GWR operate on out of London it is hard to believe that they also have the smaller rural routes down the western end of the country
I don't think there was an issue with the level crossing the there was a Network Rail staff member always on site preventing the traffic from crossing over, I think he let the pedestrians through as they could easily get across without any difficulties. But I was never able to find out what caused the delay in the end
😂😂 there's photos of confused commuters about that sliding door set HST people were still thinking of reaching to pull the door handle when they first entered service that slidedoor HST on Facebook I forgot which station it was at though
I may be coming down to either Taunton or Plymouth later in the year, if you keep an eye on my community section you'll see what trips I have lined up and when I am going to be doing them, hopefully that will help
If you're talking about the Pacers then you should know that they started life of as a British Leyland bus and then were placed onto an old freight wagon to replace first generation DMUs like the Class 121 and 122.
Excellent 👌❤️❤️❤️
You never fail to impress!
Thank you kindly for saying so

Love this station, was here a year ago at the end of the snow we had, several trains cancelled but alot run.Great Video by the way
This is a great station to come and one that I will happily come back to later in the year
Great video. I should have been on that terminating XC HST from Leeds, but I didn't get up early enough 😆👍🏽
thanks very much, I very nearly missed my train from London to here because my time keeping is absolutely atrocious haha
Great video as always.Great to see the 143`s,and great to see that part of the world again.
As usual keep up the great work.

@@keiranclarke2955 Yes i am "someone has to like them lol":)
@@britishairwaysfan6235 I only hate 142s. I don't mind the 143s or 144s.

Well you never know, there are new routes being brought back into operation every year so it could very well happen. It would be great to see

Tornado922 well I guess he already knows it’s gonna be amazing because you uploade it lmao :p
enjoyed with a glass of sherry
I find the Sherry would make this far more enjoyable

Fantastic. Station just a shame you had a lot of 143 to deal with. I share your view on the 159 livery, not very on the eye at all

i like the slide door set on cross country but i saw it at clay mills
I've only seen it a handful of times
you know what i have been to Cornwall o my 6th birthday
Cross country livery HST😍
My brother's friend is going to Penzance to see the last of the HSTs because my brother said they're going out of service
Another Brilliant Video Here Tornado922! I really Enjoyed this :)
You say the exact same thing on everyone of his video

I'm not sure it's on the riveria line i'm pretty sure its the great western mainline the riveria line starts at newton abbot i'm pretty sure
Voguer be like
Give me a rest
Apparently the left gate on crossing wouldnt lock off...
Ah right ok, thanks for that
i have a feeling the reason why the cross country service was not departing i have a feeling there was a malfuntion with the level crossing

The Staffordshire Trainspotter the one st 1:58
What about go to Plymouth and Penzance
I have been to Plymouth last year. Penzance might be next year
I don't see anything wrong with the 143s or 144s at all.
You haven't travelled on one have you?

I liked the pacers...they were good when new but now outdated.
Coolio
Thanks very much
I was on the 12:08 to Penzance i remember seeing a man with a camera anf its you wtf
Haha, what a small world. Should've waved
Do you use an app to see where the trains are going or do u just guess? if you do use an app what is it called?
I use an app called RealTimeTrains
🎉😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉😢😮
i bet they still pay the high prices for riding on those 143`s wrong so wrong
It wouldn't surprise me
