Yeah. But so many young people are taught that Desiplin is « Negative energy». So many of the young workforce has so little resillience. They get offended by any challenge that comes along. And its always sombody else fault. We need a Wake up movement. Woke gonna get us all Broke no Joke.
I listen to a few of Jocko’s disciple equals freedom field manual (thoughts) the 2 minute blurbs from the book on iTunes every morning. I use the “Begin” one as my alarm and listen to a few others for the next 20 minutes. Thanks to my son who I learned it from -middle aged woman here. It’s changed my life for the better!
Human beings are creatures of habit. We feel lost if we don't adhere to some sort of schedule. People often fantasize about what their lives would be like if they weren't confined to a particular set of routines or obligations, but it's this structure that confers positive emotion because it acts as a roadmap for navigating through life. Without discipline, we'd just be floating around aimlessly.
Most people only get good at one thing in their life and that’s their job and most only get good enough not to get fired. I call them worky joby people. They don’t understand the power of developing talents and how explosive talents really are. I have developed 4 of them in my lifetime and I am unstoppable
It isn't. Discipline is just they way torward a certain goal. Freedom is purposely misinterpreted by the indoctrination camps and the media because go against collectivism that is the root of a hierarchy of power selled as indispensable for a society. With freedom no one can obtain absolute power over the rest, due competitions, and each individual must do his best because reality came into play. No more enforced double standard, no more enforced sacrifice for the so called greather good, no more utopia to follow. Just live and do your best.
Most people go through life spending a couple weeks doing something new and then they go on to something else over and over. Churches call them threshold Christain’s because you no longer get them in the church and you never see them again. Health clubs have a revolving door of people that stay for a couple weeks and then you never see them again. Wishy washy people that never accomplish anything or get good at anything

Dr Peterson, where did you learn that you earn more money if you work longer? At least here in Germany, that's not the case. At least not until now. I have worked thousands of hours of overtime, most of which was never paid by my employer. All we ever heard was the threat: if you don't do it, I'll get other people to work for me and you'll get your papers. I really would appreciate an honest answer.

I disagree. Becoming a millionnaire is done through discipline. Master discipline simply aims to give one a goal towards what to work. Aiming at growing more disciplined will make one achieve more because they'll do more. Doing that consistently will sooner or later drive you to be wealthy and free. By experience, most of us have calling within to become a particular person. If one aims at becoming this person whatever it takes, then this person will suceed! Examples of disciplined people are Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Lundgren, Jobs, Peterson himself, Tony Robbins and many more! Plus, one can learn to be disciplined within. But you can't learn to be a millionnaire, because to become a millionnaire, one needs discipline.
No it's not. It's like saying if you're poor and want to become a millionaire, discipline is necessary. Discipline is the prerequisite to take action on your goals. Whatever your goal is, by mastering discipline you can achieve it. If you cannot master discipline you cannot master your life.
Discipline is the bridge between dreams and accomplishments.
Easy to say. But to have discipline one needs to be a disciple . . . of someone worth following.
