Funfact! The reason only YOU can see the harvest sprites and goddess is actually explained in the Rune Factory series. You see, Earthmates (conveniently EVERY playable character in the series and its spin offs is one) have a special connection to nature, hence why you can do things like BEFRIENDING WILD BEARS.

I’ve been playing friends of mineral town on the switch and I swear it gets stuck in my head every time I give an item to someone. Even at my own wedding. I was the one getting married (that’s how life works) and *they* were in the background (look at me). It’s both ruined and enhanced my experience.

If you think that bachelorette is bad, check out Amber from rune factory 4. She looks, acts, talks, and sounds (voice acted) like a small child, and if you have a daughter with her I swear to god they look like they're only a couple years apart. Even the male equivalent to her (Kiel) acts like a functioning human being, but Amber makes me feel creepy just talking to her.

I loved animal parade and it still has some of my favorite aspects of the series, I love that you can have more than one kid, I love that you can do things with your kids, and have your wife help you. Some of the cutscenes are really cute, and a lot of the characters super fun. I wish that more of the handheld games would take some of these aspects. The closest I've found to liking as much as Animal Parade is Story of Seasons which has some cool characters and lets you have more than one kid, but there were still so many cooler things in AP that they've never reproduced and that makes me sad
I died at the "rubbing" part because I actually had my sister sit and wait to do that XD but if I remember correctly gill can see the sprites too. somewhat. jus sayin. lol

I first heard of Harvest Moon because of Stardew Valley and I bought animal parade for myself because of this review and I’m honestly obsessed, I love this game.
This is my first harvest moon game and I want to say I’m so happy to have save files in this game! Any time I wanted to marry a new bachelor in Stardew valley I had to start a new game, now I just have to reload an old save file and I’m so relieved

In animal parade you can get a pet duck. In winter next to the waterfall.

+Arta wolf If you take a second controller, aim it at the villagers and animals and move it across them repeatedly it will increase their heart points slightly for you. This is called rubbing. As you rub them they will jump, make sure you get two jumps out of them to make it count. You can rub them once a day.

As for the game, I think Animal parade stands as my favorite in the series next to Magical Melody. I just picked up A new beginning and I'm hoping it's a lot better than Two Towns which was quite a let down.
If you got the 3DS version of Two Towns...I definitely feel for you. Now the company knows I suppose that just porting over the DS version to the 3DS doesn't quite work the best. I've heard though that A new beginning is a good step in the right direction for them again though. ^^
Yeah I did as well as a few of my friends :( we were quite disappointed. I know my friend had issues with it freezing a lot. So far I'm really liking A new beginning! It's cool how you have to build it up yourself but the learning curve isn't too difficult on your pockets lol I just know you have to hoard almost everything for supplies!

Pokemon's always been the series I turn to when I'm feelin' down, though lately Tomodachi Life has been helping with getting me in a better mood and calming me down, too. When I'm feeling extra stressed I play Professor Layton (Miracle Mask, usually, because I like the Daily Puzzles), too, because puzzles are my jam.
When i'm mad i play skyrim.
When i'm sad Sims 3.
When I feel down, I usually play Madworld, or Manhunt... Or other brutal games like that. It really helps getting my mood back up

My first Harvest Moon game was A New Beginning, I'm pretty new to the franchise, and i loved it! It sucks that i have to play as a girl to marry the bachelors though... But even still running a farm, creating a town, and marrying Neil made it a great experience :) I'm loving Story of Seasons too ^-^

Honestly for me, Friends of mineral town for GBA seems to be the best mainly cause of it's replayablity. Simple to start and play and doesn't get too saturated with characters and gimmicks.
Also, most of the NPCs have really likable personalities.
(Also you get a baby horse to raise at the first year.)

XboxOne Universe Almost every character in Sailor Moon is a girl. I don't get how it's considered gay. I mean, in the japanese version Sailor Uranus and Neptune (I think) are a lesbian couple.
This will forever be my favorite Harvest Moon, followed closely by Another Wonderful Life and More Friends of Mineral Town. ^^ Animal Parade has my favorite background story, the crop variety is great as is the animals, and I love the characters such as the Wizard.
This is one of my favorite videos ever. I used to watch PBG all the time, and I always found myself coming back to this video in particular quite often.
Well, Animal Paradise was the last entry with the original creator involved. Of course it has charm.
Well, technically, the core development team disbanded after A Wonderful Life was made, but the programmers stayed up to Magical Melody (hence, Harvest Moon DS being horribly programmed) and the art was also the same until Island of Happiness. Hell, the series changed so drastically after that one that GameRankings did not even have solid reviews for them anymore. Guess they had more of a soft spot for the originals like I, myself, do.
A series that did not deserve to fall as heavily as it did.

But they made a review on Story of Seasons (the latest one, long story with the name) and yes, I think this is the last Harvest Moon game I actually loved now its like eh.
I don't dislike the newer games but a lot of the handheld games except for FoMT are really meh in my opinion.

I think harvest moon games are cursed to delete one's safe files. It happened to me in almost all of my harvest moon games. (Harvest Moon destroying the safe files by itself or me, being dumb and destroying them by accident ) In Harvest Moon DS it even happened to me about 4 times, and yet, I continued to play. D: Man, I still love these games. Haha. :D
