I would go on a PMC edition because it has fully loaded and looks like a race car and when I go on a gas station it is recommended for premium fuel.

Which performance sedan under $50k with AWD as an everyday driver in the Pacific NW? I'm looking at the TLX SH-AWD models, but I was not impressed with the 2020 A-Spec V6 model and wasn't impressed. So far I've found the weakest link (no pun intended) to ń the transmission -similar issues with several sedans in this segment. What do you think?

Thanks for your comment and question! I agree with your assessment about the transmission. It's a common issue that several manufacturers seem to be grappling with. While the Acura TLX SH-AWD models offer a good balance of performance and comfort, it's understandable that you have reservations given your experience with the 2020 A-Spec V6 model.
If you're looking for a performance sedan under $50k with AWD, there are several other options on the market that you might want to consider. Here are a few alternatives:
      1. **BMW 330i xDrive**: BMW's 3-Series has long been a benchmark in the compact luxury sedan segment. The 330i xDrive comes with AWD and a solid transmission. It provides a smooth, comfortable ride and features a well-appointed, tech-laden interior. It may not be as sporty as some alternatives, but it's a great all-rounder.
      2. **Genesis G70 AWD**: The G70 from Hyundai's luxury brand Genesis is a very compelling package. It offers strong performance, a high-quality interior, and a lot of standard features. Its 8-speed automatic transmission is also generally well-regarded.
      3. **Audi S3**: The S3 is a performance variant of Audi's compact A3 sedan. It comes standard with quattro AWD and offers strong performance. The dual-clutch transmission is smooth and responsive, and the car handles well.
      4. **Kia Stinger GT-Line AWD**: The Stinger is a bit of a dark horse in this segment, but it offers a lot of car for the money. The GT-Line comes with AWD and a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine. It also has a very spacious interior and a large cargo area, making it a practical choice.
      5. **Volvo S60 T6 AWD**: Volvo's S60 offers a comfortable, luxurious experience, and the T6 variant comes with AWD and a potent turbo- and supercharged engine. Its 8-speed automatic transmission is generally smooth and responsive.
Your question prompted me to write a blog post article on my website. You can read that as well - www.buildpriceoption.com/best-awd-sport-sedans-under-50k/
Each of these cars has its own strengths and weaknesses, so I would suggest taking each for a test drive to see which one suits your preferences the best. Hope this helps and happy car hunting!

And heated steering wheel is standard in Canada, you just have to come and experience the weather here to know why, haha
