This afternoon Antenna TV will show the last episode of Dennis that had Joseph Kearns in it. It always makes me sad to see this episode, knowing Mr. Kearns would die a day or two later. It's been 50 years, but it still bugs me. I remember when Gale Gordon showed up and stated he was visiting while Mr. Wilson was away. I waited for Joseph Kearns to return from his trip and was always disappointed he never did. I didn't know he had died until much later.
Fruth37 I think he died because I’m the episode he fell thru the attic window, and he had that stocking over his head that may have put pressure on his head and he also fell in the flower bed when the police came over and wrestled him down cause he thought he was the stocking bandit. All those events combined maybe it was too much for his body.
As a Child it's hard to Reinvent yourself if you don't have the Right Parents!!! Alfonso Reberia and many other Children had great Parents!! Thank GOD!!!
I loved the show didn't start off liking it my brother at the time were 10 I was 14 he got his way with the tv we fought over it he wanted to watch the show I didin't it grew on me I bought the dvds earlier this yr enjoys it I always admired the women of the 50s 60s the wardrobe were gorgeous Alice had flair and grace and beauty !
I don't remember the show as a kid, mostly from syndicated re-runs, but it is a shame how things turned out for these folks....they were type-cast and when the show ended they were ended. We most kids grow up and go looking for a job, no one hires them because they lack experience. Jay and Jeannie couldn't get hired, even with experience, it was "the wrong experience". But at least they helped the kids who came after them.

I watched Dennis The Menace as a kid in the 1960's and still enjoy the reruns,but like other fans I had no idea that Jay North was abused on the set,and by his own family,I would have had a confrontation with those two later on in life demanding answers about why they treated me like that.
people who abuse others always try to isolate the person being abused so others so others wont notice their signs and symptoms and report the people who is doing the abusing
TORILUV Mari H So very true. It’s so sad and sickening that people have to resort to that. Obviously we don’t know his aunts and uncles complete background, but many people tend to do that who were abused them selves. It’s such a sick cycle. SMH

I just loved their dedication and commitment to their work, i think that's why the show turned out so good. I really miss the show.
