I think I speak for everyone when I say we all need a friend like Joey.
My son is 6 and we love watching this show. I wish tv was still watchable with familys.
Exactly nothing but GARBAGE!!!
Well of course its not ! Havent you ever heard of youtube? :) You can watch alot of the old shows there mr ed ect or just alpine swedish valley walks or go on a walk outside is the healthiest thing with a childs mind!!!
Omg I love ❤ me some Dennis the menace
What do you mean?
This Old tv show is a gold one !!
I was a little boy back then. Now at 64 years young...I am laughing so hard at these old shows!
Yes, same here! I'm just loving them. xo
Yes, it certainly was a good show a lot better than the braindead comedies that they have on today.
Yes, even though I am 63 years old now I still laugh really hard. And yes, I still watch "Dennis the Menace" on RUclips.
I just sent this to my dad haha
@@acetrigger1337 Using words like that, you are part of the reason our culture is being destroyed. May I suggest you get acquainted with the creator Jesus/ Yeshua, the Christ. This will give you a reason to use better language and have a better attitude towards others. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Hell is filling up with people, with your attitude.
Remembering Gloria Henry who just passed away at the age of 98. She memorably played Mrs. Mitchell. She will never be forgotten.
Loved this show from the fifties. Gloria Henry passed..
Wow, she will forever be missed. R.I.P. Gloria Henry
Just watched her in a 1991 TV movie with Barbara Eden, playing her mom. Had no idea she lived til earlier this year
Rip Gloria Henry she was a real gem
Definitely, I had a mom crush on her as a kid, lol
How can you not love Dennis the Menace! You know it's a classic when we watch 65, 70yrs later.
@Debasis kumar 😆😜
I just like those 50s, 60s & 70s Classics 😊
It's nice that we have access to this via RUclips - something for a long time ago. Nice to see people's comments who remember the original
not my dennis
Dennis was actually a saint. Though he caused chaos everywhere his heart was always in the right place.
He is an angel
He is precious.
He was chaotic but never malicious.
Just like Steve urkel family matters tv show
I agree but one version of Dennis was more evil.
I’m 16 and I love watching these old shows, Dennis the menace, Gomer Pyle, Green Acres, Hogan’s heroes, Leave it to Beaver, and the list goes on ✨ it actually has better comedy than kid’s shows nowadays.
Agree
that’s debatable
Well then you are awesome and always remember that 😊
So beautiful and Lovely!
😄we the same age!!!
I will be 71 in march 2020 Jay North is three years younger then me and I thought I have seen all of his episode, Maybe I did but it was great to look at it again. Loved all of his episode going to try to look at every one of them, this is the first. Thanks Bernie USA 01/02/2020
Im 58 loved watching this show as a child They dont make em like this anymore thx for Y.T and dvds
I used to watch this series in the morning before heading off for school... my goodness how funny this all was.
Long for those simpler times and innocence. Jay North was a genius comedic little actor, his sense of timing is a pleasure to watch.
I purchased the complete series on DVD when each season came out and I still watch it all the time, DTM is one of my very favorite classic TV shows. Season 1 is the best and this episode is one of my favorites.
This episode was hilarious! He actually snuck into the movie theatre just to shush his own parents from a few rows back! 😩😂
I LOVE ALL OF THE EPISODES OF DENNUS THE MENACE
He seems much younger in the pilot then even the second episode. Must have been a good stretch between tapings. This is best episode!
I LOVE TO WATCH DENNIS THE MENACE. I WATCH IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN
That boy would drive me to distraction, and straight out of my mind! Lol lol
"If you take a bath don't step on my frog." LOL
I got to watch this on Nickelodeon in the early 90s. As a kid you can sort of relate to Dennis, but then as an adult you relate more to Mr Wilson.
Absolutely.
Dennis the menace make leave it to beaver look like a saint!!!! No comparation whats so ever!!! Love this show!!! Hhhhhheellllooooo Mr. Wison!!!LOL!!
like both
He really does want to help
That's cause ward laid down the law!
That was so Great!!! I forgot how funny this show really was! I haven't seen it in Fifty years. Amazing to revisit this wonderful cast. Thanks for the memories.
Dennis would be a cool child compared to kid's nowadays.
Alvin Chipmunk Today they would have Dennis druged up.
Alvin Chipmunk kill
I agree
Alvin Chipmunk. He would be in a private prison paid for by the tax payers and his entire life would be destroyed and his family.
kids plural not possessive Fix it! GN
I love this show so much. I wish i could have been alive for it to originally air.
No, you don't! You would be old, like me!
I was, just a little younger than Dennis. It was my favorite family sitcom, along with "Make Room For Daddy"
I was alive then and I hated this show.
"Mom! Why you always say thank goodness instead of goodnight"?
That wS so cute i can relate had a few of those tjank goodness moments myself
😂😂😂
Lol
I almost spit out my drink.😂
She also said thanks heavens
He sure did grow a lot in 4 years. His voice even deepened :)
This boy can keep you laughing all the way through
Hello 👋🏻 nice to meet you tabitha, hope you’re safe and well?
Around 1960 there was Lassie or Fury or My Friend Flicka or Father Knows Best or Dennis the Menace before dinner. Then after the news we'd watch 57th Precinct or HongKong or The Untouchables or The Twilight Zone. Those were good times. There was also The Mickey Mouse Show or Disneyland earlier, of course. I still remember that recalcitrant little kid played by Jay North yelling "Hellooooh, Mr Wilson!" as if it were yesterday. Thanks for posting this. Good memories!
That's "The Mickey Mouse Club," dolt. 😒
I watched this with my kids and told them to see how there was no foul language. This was good stuff.
This was a good days I loved this show after school and never got bored
I was a little blonde menace, too. My poor mother had to send me to my grandmothers house for a breather. Incidentally, Joseph Kearns was a nifty Mr. Wilson. Love watching these.
Kearns was also the voice of the Doorknob in Disney’s 1951 “Alice in Wonderland” movie.
I enjoyed it as a little boy! and still laughing until this day!!!!!!!
It's sad how things have changed since this series aired. This comes from an era when adults didn't feel the need to protect children from everything. Dennis is allowed to explore, allowed to make mistakes, allowed to learn about life. Any sitcom from this era will show the same thing.
Automatic sprinkler system! 🤣😂😆
Aunt Harriet from Batman as the babysitter....love these old shows!
Dennis pulls out his guns during the movie! He is too much!! 😂😂
Tilly and Friends (Cartoon Show) (Season 1/6)
The Shameless Dennis The Menace Rip-Off. Little Boy, Name is Tilly
Today they'd call out the swat team.
Dennis was such a cute little boy I grew up watching this show it's so hilarious
Hello 👋🏻 nice to meet you laquinta, hope you’re safe and well?
@@brianwalter8152 hi nice to meet you too have a blessed day and weekend
@@laquintaknox6719 you as well God bless you I’m from New Jersey 🇺🇸.
LOL, I always thought that Dennis was an obnoxious little jerk.
I watched these non-stop in Canada in 1993. Loved them. The Mr Wilson dude permanently looked like he was about to have an aneurysm!
Hello 👋🏻 nice to meet you, hope you’re safe and well?
I met him in 2012 when he and other celebrities came to The Mid-Atlantic Nostalgic Convention in Baltimore, Maryland in Hunt Valley...its a 3 day event in September check out the site, with all our favorite past celebritie...Mr. North is such a pleasant man!!!
I was a brat has a kid but even I watching this show wanted Dennis locked in his room for life.
i cant get enough of Dennis the Menace!!!!
Nobody gonna mention how Dennis waves that gun lmao
Some people would lose their mind if it was modern times.
Remember watching this tv series in 90's during my school days. Thanks for uploading!
Was too young for this show, don't remember seeing any reruns in the 70s, but I was crazy about the Dennis the Menace Comic Books. The Show is really good and I've seen the whole series a few years back online.
When I see Jay North, I see me! 😇
Poor old Mr Wilson. 😀
One of my favorite staples, as a kid!! STILL love to watch Dennis, when I get the chance. I was born 2 years after, this came out 😊. So I grew up on the reruns📺, just like everyone, in our generation. Always liked Joseph Kearns', film career 🎬, AND he kinda made the show. Herbert Anderson's credits were even, more. Oddities like "I BURY THE LIVING"!!! He plays a newspaper, man (I think).
This was one of my favorite shows here in Finland when I was a kid. By the way, the neighbours used to call ME Dennis the Menace in the early 60’s.
" Get out, you are both holding up my work."
Truer words were never spoken.
Lots of memories ! Love it
I LOVE WATCHING DENISE THE MENACE THANKS
Pilot episode. This was the only episode where Dennis crossed the line from being helpfully mischievous to disobeying his parents and sneaking out. The writers made a decision not to cross the line again for fear that children would copy him.
Jay Day that’s smart. He really doesn’t seem like a menace. This kid should be a role model! Just not in this episode lol
Interesting tidbid.
Yes, they changed the character markedly after this, the first, episode. My guess is that they got complaints from the audience. People back then wouldn't have taken kindly to a kid portrayed as a complete brat.
OMG thats my childhood memories .. time really flies very fast ..
Wow a dime for popcorn!!!
I hate to admit it but when I was his age a movie was 50 cents, and you got to see 2 movies with cartoons in between.
@@kerbaladventures2480 Yep. Saturday Matinees at the local theater. Mom would give us a dollar and tell us to be home in time for supper. Good times.
This is a GREAT first episode. It's no wonder it was picked up as a series.
I Love these old shows were popular when I was growing up in the 60s.
Hello Linda, How are you doing?
My favorite episode.
Hello 👋🏻 nice to meet you vicki, hope you’re safe and well?
They need to bring this show back I grew up watching it
Hello Tammy, How are you doing?
That damn Dennis was into everything....lol😂🤣😂
The original ADHD kid
Man I forgot all about this show! Bring back good memories watching Dennis the Menace.....👨👦👨👦👨👦👨👦👨👦👨👦👨👦👨👦👩👦👩👦!
The last time I saw this show I was closer to Dennis' age. It was on Nickelodeon for a while.
Haha this show never gets old always funny!
I remember watching this as a child...What wonderful childhood memories...That's when kids were allowed to be kids....Playing and being little boys.. Loved Me. Wilson and his interactions with Dennis...
how funny i forgot about Dennis the Menace refreshing these old shows thanks for sharing
This episode was the BEST!
61 years later... People still enjoy this show. I'm glad.
Amazing isn't it....
Great show.
I love it at the end when Henry Mitchell said,"The police are holding Mr Wilson on suspicion of armed robbery."
I grew up watching Dennis all of his episodes this my childhood and generation thanks for sharing this for me 😅😊
Joseph kearns was only like 50 years old but he acted like a 75 year old man. Take naps and putter around the house? Sounds like he needs a kid like Dennis to bring some excitement to his life.
Oh, golly gee willikers, Mister Wilson, I thought you would like your garage more. Well, now that I painted it PURPLE for you. ❤
one of my fav episodes, his arrival at the movie theater with the accompanying music makes it even funnier!
Thanks for posting. A slice of heaven.😊
Joseph Kearns, The Best Mr Wilson
Bar none! 😁
Love him
No-one can match his facial expressions ......
If only we could've heard him yell, "DENNIS!!!!!!"
Perfect Mr. Wilson...the Dennis and him were the STARS.
"DENNISSS!" It's always the most fun and inspiring to see all of our important life lessons get fully understood by THE clever cowboy and "perfect little lamb". "Thank goodness!"🎯🤣🏡🛌🏾 Stay safe everyone!
This was my all time favorite episode! I was in tears watching it like it was my first time seeing it!
Hello 👋🏻 nice to meet you Danielle, hope you’re safe and well?
I remember seeing every single episode of "Dennis the Menace" very much when I was much younger and boy did I enjoy watching it very much.

I'm probably the only 16 year old that enjoys this show
I started watching it 2 years ago when I was 25
Wow. Congratulations! Let me give you an award!!!
There’s probably others. And some older and some younger
@@wahooooh I used to watch this on Nickelodeon in the 90s.
No I'm 14 and I always have liked the show since my aunt showed it to me at 6.
This was dubbed in Hindi and used to air on Sony TV in India in 1996. I was so addicted to this show as a 7 YO. The title music brings back so many childhood memories
I remember watching this as a kid when I was around 4-5 years old in the 90's omg..!!
Gaurav Kalra akka
90's? fuck, you so young.
Can't recall this being available in the 90's. Every place varies. But I remember it from the late fifties and sixties reruns.
The 90s? This show was on in Belgium - beyond Mars - in the early 1960s. I watched it in black and white, like Father Knows Best, Lassie and other such shows. Just where in India did you live?
Geez, I saw this program in the 1970s on KTTV Ch. 11 here in L.A. Great stuff! 😁📺
@@muide7 in 1995 , in india Sony tv chanel telecast this show in hindi language. And that time it was very popular.
I am so Glad You Tube is adding Excellent Nostalgia TV shows!😙😊😉😀
Hello Julia, How are you doing?
@@liamroberts9047 none of your business
Dennis was the Bart Simpson of his day, except he didn't have the attitude problem.
He seems like an awesome kid. Bart was kind of a jerk lol
@@wahooooh Bart Simpson is the king of TV brats, so you better respect Bart Simpson or you can eat his shorts.
Bart was the Dennis of the 1990's. Dennis couldn't have been the Bart Simpson of his day; _his day_ came before The Simpsons show.
@@cartoondude5384 Hey don't forget Erick Cartman from South Park. Of all the TV brats he has the most to "atone" for!!!! Lol!!!!!!!!
@@BingCherry11 I never liked south park.
Compared to today's youth, Dennis isn't such a "menace".
Joey (Gil Smith) went on to become an extremely successful and renowned photographer earning numerous awards and is a Canon Explorer of Light member.
Thank you! Love interesting trivia like this.
I've always loved this show. Great episode.
Shut up meg
@@PeterGriffin-zz8hn dammit Peta griffin!
I remember when I was a young boy coming home from school too watch this show … am 43 years old so it wasn’t like it was new on tv 📺 but I do remember this as a kid …. Them good old days 🤘🤘
Long gone, are shows like this!!
There's no swearing, no Violence.
Us kids back then were pretty wholesome..
Now that's the way to kick off a series. Fantastic episode. Jay North should have won an emmy, if they had had them in '59.
Fantastic episode of Denis the Menace !
I'm 28 n enjoy these...best era when it comes to movies n music...wish kids now ah days know about these....
Forgot how funny these old shows were.
Here from Romania with love for this Very good and gold TV show made ever ! Thanks!
Thanks for uploading this. Dennis comes on at 9am but can get antenna to pick up several days now. Needed my Dennis fix.
He was terribly abused by his step parents off screen. He loved being on screen because he could basically be himself. The rest of the time off screen he was relegated to what his "keepers" demanded.
But they didn't loot what he earned, I'll give them credit for that.
It wasn't his step parents, his mother worked so his aunt was his caretaker on the set. She would abuse him if any scene took more than 2 takes and he was forced to stay at her side the entire time on the set, and not allowed to socialize with the other kids.
Never heard that he loved being on the set. I hope that's true because at least then he would have gotten some relief.
Yes i saw the interview Mr Mr North gave So SAAD
I don't think I appreciated this show as much when I was raising my children as I do now. I have a grandson just like Dennis..
And I can really laugh as I watch this now!!
LOL👍
Good ole' Henry Mitchell.
He was probably at Guadalcanal or some other hellhole.
Thank you for this presentation. I never laughed so hard.
Thank goodness hey mom how come you always say thank goodness instead of good night best line ever
I be watching this show on TV. But l woke up. at 6:00am and decided to search for it. Googled it and found it. On RUclips. I like this show, used to watch it when I was little. Fun show. Thanks RUclips for the upload.
November 10,,2021.
Just Magic, the One and Only Denis The Menace LoL.... read all the comics during the 60's and he still is wonderful.
Wonderful episode of Dennis the Menace !
0:36 Back in the days when it was safe to eat a baloney sandwich. Now days you'll be told it's life threatening yet, we all ate em & survived.
Larry Mondello's ("Leave It To Beaver") Mom, playing the babysitter -- an interesting character no matter what role she assumed. I never thought much of this show as a kid and was involved in too many other fun activities to be bothered with a lot of TV viewing, so watching this now is not only new but also quite entertaining. Jay North and Joseph Kerns were well played as the antithesis of one another. A well-scripted, well-acted sitcom that ages well. I wonder if Jay North ever received something like the equivalent of a child Oscar (Emmy?)? He should have for the weight of this show carried on his precocious little shoulders. 8/2019
North didn't even get much money. He ended up working as a prison guard.
She also played "Aunt Harriet" in the Bat Man series
@@russ5024 And was the gossip columnist appearing in the opening scene of "Singing In The Rain".
As a small kid I loved to watch this show...it was aired in Czechoslovakia, with dubbing in Slovak language 😃
im so glad i can watch this on Hulu and Roku now and youtube lol
Don't forget Peacock!
hahahaha lmao this show is fuckin hilarious, hahahah. The expression and reaction on Mr. Wilson's face everytime he sees or hears Dennis is funny af!
My dad being a Military drill instructor i would have not seen the light of day if i did one of Dennis the menace mischief acts 🤣😂🤣😂
