Love watching ur videos!! A little advice, I roll up all of my clothes, nice and tight, when packing. Line them up next to each other in a row. Even ur under Garments can be rolled and folded next to each other. Smoosh them together. It’ll give you more space.

Walmart has Action Packers, they are water tight and lockable. So certain things from the back like maybe kitchen stuff or laundry go in those and then they can just tuck under the rear bumper at night. So if you had one or two of the smaller size, it may open up a few cubic feet for time inside. The also make for something nice to sit on. Action packers. Little usb vacuum is good for bugs. More driving technique from Maria McRae!😊

I think that can of bear spray would be more effective if it's OUTSIDE of it's packaging. You know, in case of an emergency and you're not fumbling around trying to tear open that annoying plastic blister pack that we all struggle with. Anyway, have fun and stay safe out there.
A proper large roof box would really help with that kinda setup. I love rocking a wagon and for travel a roof top box is excellent. Real car people love wagons:)

Just an idea Maria, add a small pot that you can put on your butane stove and cook the pasta there then add to your camp meal bag with seasons. They also have those clip on your pot strainers, really nice. I found mine on Amazon for a couple bucks and they are small. Hope this helps, take care Maria and you and Blue be safe.
I am a 64 year old granny that is loving your videos! What a strong beautiful woman you are. I have a silly question. When you are in your car at night with a light on or even just the light from your phone or computer, can others outside of your car see you? That worries me. I know that you are safety smart and you have that covered but I just had to ask! Love and peace to you, Ru and Blue!

I'm a 67 year old non-granny in Michigan who also enjoys following her. I hadn't been camping in many years because I didn't have anyone to go with but I finally went last week. As it turns out, it didn't bother me to be alone & now I wonder why I waited so long.

Oh you're going to enjoy having a lid for your skillet. It's truly a game changer when it comes to cooking. With a cast iron lid you can shut off your stove when the food is about 75% complete and it will finish cooking - fuel savings The water vapor will drip down and sizzle on he pan and steam your food - more consistent cooking. Bury the skillet and lid in coals and you have a fantastic dutch oven - bake anything you want! And just off the top of my head one more thing - less splatter.

Ohhh it looks better! Minimal is better. I love how you make due with what you have, the cast iron lid on the Jetboil was genius lol. I’ve also made things in a Jetboil flash before with no problems. I think you could really use it for anything not just boiling water (although they say not to) except for frying or putting oil in it but anything else seems to be fine! I’ve heated a can of chili in it before. Like literally for the price it has to do more than just boil water lol 💙💙💙💙💙

I did the exact same thing with my Subaru windows. I was so bummed! But was able to use them when I upgraded to a Pathfinder. Rumple is awesome. You'll be surprised how warm it is.

Check your power station because you should be able to use that new solar panel to charge it. You might need to get an adapter but that's what I do. Love your videos!

Have you tried the stanley all in one coffee system? It's a thermos and a french press and has two cups for drinking and a pot to boil the water in. I think you would like it. It all fits together nicely. It's about the same price as the areo press.

I use packing cubes when car camping and they save so much space!!

You might benefit from purchasing a small enclosed trailer used. Like a 4x6. They sell for about $1,000. Or ask your viewers if anybody close by has one. It would be a game changer for you, even with the new rig coming.

Hey! I use my jet boil all the time to cook noodles... usually Ramen, but noodles all the same, I also throw in some chopped fresh veg in the last min or so I get some veggies!

I recently came across your RUclips channel and am loving it! Your videos are very down to earth, and don't sugar coat, or glamerize van life, you clips are very straight forward and organic, and this is what I love about them! You show van life in all it's glory, good & bad!! Keep up the good work!
I have a couple of questions...
1) How do you finance your road trip? Are you being monitized by RUclips, or do you have some sort of "on road" business?
2) Was wondering what sort of video editing software you use to produce your RUclips clips?
I currently use iTop Video Editor, which I find VERY BASIC, and doesn't do much in visual effects, etc... just basic editing which I find a bit frustraiting. As I use Windows as an operating system, Final Cut Pro is not an option. I discovered Adobe Premier Pro, but at AUD $350.00 a year, it is a bit out of my range. I want to learn how to create logos for my channel, and how to superimpose them on to my videos (geen screen?)
I recently bought the DJI Marvic Air 2S drone with the Fly More Combo, which I am still learing to fly. I am looking at getting either the new GoPro 11 Black, or the DJI Osmo 3 action cam, but am still researching which is the better. Both have their advantages, and disadvantages. I would love to hear your views on these....

I roll all my clothes and put in sections of weather. And you can do two layers of rolls. Also...buy a pack of those stick mats..they are actually for bugs and u lay them around in your home. I keep one under my seat in my rig for any creepers that get in but you can also fan them in the air of your car to catch mosquitoes and flying bugs..lol..it works! Your MUCH better at tolerating..I could never sleep with mosquitoes..they eat me alive. Ugh.
You need a Thermacell. Protects 15 feet around ya. I love mine!!!
An air horn can help - even wasp spray shoots straight 6 to 7 feet might help at less cost.
95 in Texas today, ain't pulled the sweats out yet. I wonder if this summer will ever end. Ain't started van life yet but have a minivan I've been driving for 7 years now. But where would I keep my guitars and amps?

I’m new too! I love the same! But can you get a protective kennel for puppy when ur off roadin’ and then let him out when you get to the paved road? I was so worried you were going to hit something unexpected and he was going to fly out the front window and you were going to run over him. That happened to a girl I follow in Utah and her puppy barely survived and had so many surgeries. Maybe a company can sponsor!
