Absolutely nice explanation of how to reverse such a long "Beast".... By my self i did it for a "longer" period throughout my lifetime profession as an long distance driver here in europe... Sweden is such a beautiful Country too... For a couple of years i came up to Södertälje ( Scania Main Plant ) very frequently with the suspension components - Steelsprings, which was made here in Austria - and i allways enjoyd these trips... Greetings from Graz/Styria/Austria.
Very helpful you explained it very good to this helped me alot i drive exactly the same truck and trailer scania and and 9 axle trailer here in New Zealand but our driver side is the right side i just got my trailer license 3months ago and not gonna lie this video helped me alot the more practise the better
Good explanation. I drive road trains in Aus and the principles remain the same for trailer to trailer you just allow for the extra pivot from truck to first trailer.
I feel like this is a feeling thing that you can only get if you're actually driving a truck and is almost impossible to explain. Some truckers still never get the feeling for it...
@@truckingwithtidstrom Maybe. Personally I wouldn't know about longer trucks like this since I've only ever driven with 13.60m trailers or 12m box trucks. I'd love to get my license for the longer trucks one day, LZV we call it here in the Netherlands, allowed to be up to 25.25m :p
Very good video. Like other people here im trying to learn how to reverse the dolly in real life. The corner to corner technique and the slow and little movements have helped a lot to understand. I would really like to see more videos like this explaining how to straight reverse and how to straighten the truck with a trailer that has already finished its turn and has the front axle staight without moving further. Dont know if this make sense but i mean the final part of parking as fir example in a ramp at a company. Having it all straight. Thaks a lot again
Yes more of this, the only thing I actually missed was how do you guys reverse into a loading dock!!?Its impressive to see how youre doing all that without a reverse camera. I want to know HOW do you know when to stop??
That’s a good one! Usually u just get a feel for it, but whenever u see that u are getting close you can jump out and have a look, better safe than sorry!
just got my license and gonna start working in august 2024. this reversing with (dolly) was a big problem for me.. i need to practice a lot on this. thanks for making this video! 👍
Only have C so can only play with this in Eurotruck, and it sure is a lot cheaper to when things does not go to plan :) regular semi is not to bad but this one has be confused for sure, good video and good videos showing different angles.
I am a current trailer driver and am currently playing games with a double trailer through Euro Truck (game). Recently, I was driving an HCT that had a dolly added to the middle of the double trailer, but it was very difficult to park even though there was only one dolly. I was very lucky to have found this video at a point where I was slowly understanding it in my head while continuing to ride it and researching it. Thanks to this, I figured out how to park.
This was fun to watch! Preferably more videos where you film your whole day, your deliveries and driving, maybe you should arrange such a head mount with a gopro? Then you get a nice first perspective🤠😎
Try reversing using a trailer with a (converter) dolly attached to the rear. That is actually more difficult. It is actually easier to back a b-double than a trailer with a converter dolly attached and a rigid truck.
It would be nice to see how you backup in a straight line, then make the trailer go to one side, maybe do a 180 degree turn and backup the other direction from which you came. I think it would be interesting to see. Thanks!
@@truckingwithtidstrom it does require a large empty space i guess. But it would be interesting to see how you correct to keep the trailer going straight vs how you initiate/maintain/end the turn. 90 degrees is good as well.
What would be really helpful would be an Ariel view directly over the truck so we can see the draw bar of the trailer being pushed in relation to the truck manoeuvring and it’s angles. What do you think? Great video by the way, very well explained, but I think the top view would just clarify everything but please in full frame not down in the corner because it will be obvious which way you’re turning so no need for the in cab view. Thanks.
Im busy practicing that at the moment but looking towards a Job driving a Trailer like that with a Little Unimog in Front .. Havent found any videos explaining with that Combination ?
Hi ... With luck in the next weeks going to be driving trailers like that but the Front Truck has no Loading Space , its just for pulling Trailer.... Thr driving School im at has one Similar to Yours but only 17 m about and 2 back axles ... @@truckingwithtidstrom But I guess they are fairly similar to drive at the end of the day ..
My company in Germany will buy first dolly.. They ask me if I want drive this.. Have 20y expiriance with semi trailer. So practice practice and more practice.. Hope I wont have many problems..

When you are reversing towards a dock, you go untill you touch the dock. You slow down in the end, and bump into the dock.
