The fact the reapers detect humans by how much CO2 they breathe and yet didn't destroy any wildlife, fauna, or flora leads me to believe whoever sent those machines are terraforming for themselves.
That doesn’t make any sense. If carbon dioxide was a threat to the invaders, then they would use the reapers to also destroy wildlife, plant life, fauna, flora….that’s true terraforming. I believe that the invaders sent the reapers NOT to make planet earth habitable for themselves aka they were not terraforming Earth…but to take over the planet and its resources for themselves. So I assume Earth is already habitable for the invaders. Humans are the only threat since they have occupied the planet. They sent the reapers to kill the most apex predator on planet earth which are humans. Once all the humans are killed, they can safely occupy Earth. No terraforming is needed.
*I studied machine design. Elevation or altitude primarily affects machines by reducing their cooling efficiency due to the decrease in air density at higher altitudes, leading to potential overheating, reduced performance, and shortened lifespan of components, especially in equipment that relies on air cooling like motors and electrical components; this is because thinner air has less capacity to carry heat away from the machine. In order to extend longevity of the reapers, they must kill humans at lower altitudes. 8,000 is really an arbitrary number but in theory, machines are trained to stay with an ideal range (say 0 to 8,000 feet). 8,000 feet was the arbitrary number the alien force set their machines not to surpass as 8,000+ feet just does too much critical damage on the machines.*

“Cobalt coated bullets”. What is special about cobalt that would cause it to be the “special weapon”. It actually stay ferrous at a higher temperature than any other metal. Just about the only special thing about Cobalt actually happens at high altitude (where the creatures couldn’t go), where it is attacked by hydrogen and (I think) sulfur, creating Cobaltous.
At the end those explosions were not the results of meteors hitting the ground, they were the reapers exploding after being struck by the cobalt bullets.

I believe that what keeps the Reapers below 8000 feet is the atmosphere and how they track their prey. They seem to be blind, and they use CO2 to track humans. At 8000 feet, the atmosphere is thinner, so the CO2 is thinner. From the Reaper's perspective, humans may seem invisible once they cross that line.
Sure, that is why the can not get to 8001ft. and stop hard at those comical lines... actually, the fact that they are presented as machines makes much more sense. They are not there to kill humans off totally, but only to restrict them to small isolated refuges where they are completely safe but restricted in their development and population size. They are simply AI sheepdogs herding the last apex predator to confined spaces. Probably even to save the planet - from humanity which was on the brink of killing the planet for good.
Alien invasion first wave, basically putting the human population on a reservation above 8000 ft to slowly die off over time. The end credits was the human groups hunting the reapers and the reapers blowing up.

YOU DID NOT EVEN WATCH THE MOVIE, EVERYTHING YOU SAID IS WRONG. Those are not meteors at the end of the movie, they are killing the reapers at the end of the movie and they are exploding.
Amazing movie with breathtaking wildlife scenery, beautiful enough to make you want to go mountain hiking. It ponders whether those machines were made by some eco-friendly alien civilization that didn't like how mankind was treating Mother Earth. At some point in the movie, one of the women states that the animal kingdom has been doing much better since humanity's downfall. The 8-mile logic may be a condition in their coding that I can accept, maybe the alien wanted only a slime portion of mankind to survive after all. Yet that cobalt bullet can 'fry' them when I'm sure some other lethal weapon such as the microwave canon could get the job done leaves me a bit perplexed but hey, it's a movie and it was fantastic! The ending creates a perfect cliffhanger for a sequel
Do you notice that alot of movies are making creatures like this that come from space in a way ...a quiet place, venom 3 and now this.....its almost worrying and i hope its not foreshadowing our future in a way 😮
That was not what was happening in the cut scene. It was the humans shooting the reapers and the reapers exploding. You can see the muzzle flashes and hear the gun shots before the explosion, and the explosion is the same as when the reapers were killed earlier. There are no meteors falling in that scene.
Except for the fact that the creatures in both movies are different... Tomorrow War, Edge of Tomorrow, Eternals, A Quite Place, they all have similar premises but they're all different.
This movie is an inversion of real life drone warfare. In the movie the machines can’t kill humans because they have the higher ground, whereas in real life humans can’t kill drones because they have the higher ground. Add all the other similarities.
Guys not the reapers blowing up at the end. After the credits theres a scene thats shows meteors up in the sky, not on the ground. Yall are confused. 😅
no the mid-credit scene means those explosions are the reapers self-imploding bc of the bullets if they were falling from the sky we would have seen meteors or black balls before impact and also the flag from that scene means that other communites are also killing those reapers thats why there are alot of explosions i mean Alot!
Okay. If they can detect co2 I"m sure that truck was running on Hydrogen plus as smart as Nina is supposed to be she should have been able to make co2 scrubber compound and make masks for everyone so they couldnt be detected. If that was the reapers way of detecting humans then they could have walked right by them but that wouldnt explain why the left all other animal life alone when all animals exhale co2. Oh Well.
I guess it makes no sense to focus on the endless plot holes of this film but to concentrate more on the bigger picture of what is the point of this scenario. I mean, it is also ridiculous that nobody would have thought of using cobalt-coated bullets before killing 95% of humanity, not to mention that the "exploding" predators are a joke in themselves - the explanations for that are not physics, but magical esoteric pseudoscience. But as I said, it's probably best to stick to the concept, not the details.
There is a (post movie) scene still later before the credits where they use a telescope to watch comet like object in the sky - definitely not the blowing up of the predators before that.
@itsbayside6802 alien ships coming to earth. They showed you how the first one exploded. There were people going out to hunt, you see gunfire everywhere before the machines explode. You saw an explosion from the ground nothing falling down to Earth and then exploding.
@xofox_studio explosions came from the ground right after gunfire when they went out to hunt them after the lady figured out how to kill them. Exploded then same way the first one on screen was killed. How does a meteor explode on the ground with no streaks or flight path of an object coming down out of the sky.

Where did time travel, man made even come into play in that movie, the alien aspect was cool didn't expect it, then underground so they took war of the world's narrative giving that the reapers were placed here a long time ago and then activated a certain time only to kill humans, 3yrs must of been a safe time for aliens to drop in, but didn't realize humans found a way and if they did it was too late to turn back or they didn't know. So, the problem is the deception of coming from within the planet at what point where they placed? they never will explain it! 8000ft would have to do with there make up of being somewhat hollow seeing how they came from -xxxxx ft within our planet they must have an internal pressure bubble inside of them as it shown they seemed to be hollow inside this would come into play so maybe the 8000ft is there rupture point of said bubble like us going up without air/pressure suit into space. So they were -xxxx ft and raised up to 8000frt a cutoff. pop like a ballon. again, they will never tell us how they got there. If they were living beings with a weak circulatory system meaning oxygenation would be an issue at high elevations then the 8,000' altitude might make sense, but since they are often called technological machines then that 8000 number is arbitrary and makes no sense at all as they wouldnt need to breath so thin air would do nothing to them. There is a scene once the movie ends and credits start where they are looking trough a telescope and they see 3 big objects falling towards earth. He was just showing the wrong scene
You Third World country twat at the pulse credits there are three meteors in the sky thumbs down for useless creatures like you
Could be alien ships.
@@shawnm1472 The 3 ships flew in what basically looks like "a formation" - hardly random, so yes they are likely alien ships.
That's right, the explosions at the end were the reapers being destroyed.
A solid 7.8/10
There are a lot of people giving this movie a much better rating than I would anticipate.
I never heard of Elevation. It must be one of those streaming movies.
Me either…I’m gonna look it up when I get home.
They looked like the predators in alien films...loved the film!
This is out in theaters 😅
Its a good movie
At the end those explosions were not the results of meteors hitting the ground, they were the reapers exploding after being struck by the cobalt bullets.
There is a scene once the movie ends and credits start where they are looking trough a telescope and they see 3 big objects falling towards earth. He was just showing the wrong scene
You Third World country twat at the post credits there are three meteors in the sky thumbs down for useless creatures like you
All i know is they took the idea of this creature from the Moorwen in the movie Outlander
And then the mid credit scene was meteors.... I am not talking about them shooting them I'm talking about the meteors
@@OpenCarry2024 that meteors dummy
8000ft is a programming limitation, beyond that will render them ineffective
Lol no
@leewilson5389 do your research lol
@@JonahVergel8 irrelevant and 100% WRONG …. MAke no mistake you’re nothing lol ing like you’re trying to suggest. I am though quite clearly. Your comment is ludacras
@@JonahVergel8 wrong
It's quite possible the signal controlling them doesn't reach. But more than likely it was because they didn't want to kill all the humans only lower the population or possibly they're made by aliens and they need some humans for some reason.
I loved this movie! Now that they can destroy the aliens, why not create a HUGE pile of dry ice to attract them into a valley where they can be shot from above? When is part 2 coming out?
I looked on the movie's Wiki page for clues, but couldn't find anything at all about a sequel.
Those are not METEORS falling from the sky. They were hunting Reapers and those were explosions.
Heres a thought...
Remember the movie Battleship?
What if this is loosely connected...
first scout party failed..so they sent hunter/seeker robo bugs to weaken humans before another "scout party" comes
YOU DID NOT EVEN WATCH THE MOVIE, EVERYTHING YOU SAID IS WRONG. Those are not meteors at the end of the movie, they are killing the reapers at the end of the movie and they are exploding.
He's talking about the mid-credits scene when they were using a telescope and saw meteors.
@@AlexanderNevermind68 Read my comment, said the EXACT SAME THING, you clown. 🤡
@@Ethan_la Never saw that part, thanks for the info👍
I think there might be a part 2. In parr 2 the creators of the repers will come down to get the job done them selves.
Calm down
Amazing movie with breathtaking wildlife scenery, beautiful enough to make you want to go mountain hiking.
Horrible review. Nothing right. Garbage
Overall it was an entertaining movie! 😎👍
Gonna need a link to that monster in the thumbnail because wow is that a cool design 👀
I have to see this💯
"The Tomorrow War" Prequel. how much you wanna bet?
Edge of tomorrow
A hearty handshake 🤝
Except for the fact that the creatures in both movies are different... Tomorrow War, Edge of Tomorrow, Eternals, A Quite Place, they all have similar premises but they're all different.
This movie is an inversion of real life drone warfare.
In the movie the machines can’t kill humans because they have the higher ground, whereas in real life humans can’t kill drones because they have the higher ground. Add all the other similarities.
I didn't see the meteors at the end crazy I missed it
Guys not the reapers blowing up at the end.
My guess is the aliens are not happy about us taking their creatures out so they are sending more or are coming to finish us off for good
exactly.
Holy hell your take on this is hilarious
Surprised you didn't compare this to a quiet place
Yep, Tomorrow Wars with a twist.
The creatures look very similar to the locusts from Revelation 9:11
You misread the credits scene. Those are not meteors. They are civilians shooting Reapers and they are blowing up.
There is a (post movie) scene still later before the credits where they use a telescope to watch comet like object in the sky - definitely not the blowing up of the predators before that.
7:40 they were killing the machines, not meteors falling. You failed sir
theres a post scene showing some meteor looking things falling...
@itsbayside6802 alien ships coming to earth. They showed you how the first one exploded. There were people going out to hunt, you see gunfire everywhere before the machines explode. You saw an explosion from the ground nothing falling down to Earth and then exploding.
@ yeah I saw all the people killing the things and then seen the meteor things coming in the post scene
No, you failed to see that.
@xofox_studio explosions came from the ground right after gunfire when they went out to hunt them after the lady figured out how to kill them. Exploded then same way the first one on screen was killed. How does a meteor explode on the ground with no streaks or flight path of an object coming down out of the sky.
yeah all the cars and generators running on 3 year old gas lol
Couldn't white gas from Walmart aka camping fuel for gasoline powered stoves and heaters work? People have used it 10 years after they first brought it for their camp stove.
@@drjekelmrhyde yeah it could but that gas is stored under pressure and you would have to adapt the system to us it at all. The cars they came across were not set up for it and they had been sitting for 3 years from what they said plus the battery's they were talking about wouldnt have been good after 3 years it doesnt really matter because it a movie and it was fun
Yeah that's a big plot hole/unrealistic part of the movie...alot of ppl seem not to kno about that logic bcuz they keep doing it in movies😂...I looked passed it bcuz its a movie to pass time and I like sci fi stuff
My car ran just fine for 5 years sitting & when I jumped it to move it to a new location, it definitely ran & had gas still in, so....there's that! (It was a 2008 Ford focus) 👌🏾🤣 🚗
Fuel stabilizer, like seafoam will make your fuel last anywhere from 2-4 years.
I believe they are guided by some kind of signal that is lost above 8000 feet elevation.
biomechanical monsters that look like bugs? so xenomorphs? no reapers!
Everyone is saying they look like tommorow war but the difference is that in the tommorrow war the creatures look more organic rather than Elevations scaly look
Ridiculous the reapers cant go 1mm over that line 😂
I was on the fence about this channel but how outlandish and incorrect this review was put the nail in the coffin for me. I ain't watching this channel ever again again 😂
i want the movie 'Elevation Day One'
Who wins? The Xenophage from venom 3 or the Reapers from elevation
was the reaper scale generating its own energy or shield?
guess theres going to be an elevation 2??
I certainly hope so!
reminds me of Revolution the TV show.
Wasnt that the tv show where man made AI nanobots turned off all the technology in the world? If so, not quite the same really...?
@@ICU1337 yeah just kind of like no real power so yeah its nothing like it you right
Wish they finished that show
Not meteor's...Reepers exploding
because they are robots programmed to do so.. Whomever programmed them knows they won't attack at that elevation.
Let me guess, it's another kinda "Cloverfield" could be tie-in gobbledygook multiverse movie, that's not part of the franchise!?
If you're guessing that this is somehow "unofficially" connected to _The Tomorrow War_ its not. This is its own unique movie that isnt going to be tied into any existing movies of similar type.
Simple. ELON MUSK.
Sigera and Captain America!?... Does that mean he's a gardian?!
Do you mean gUardian?
I did NOT know she was Segira. Welp, he's a Guardian lol
Only that they were there might as well dropped them in Antartica/northern artic and they dug their way to the city's
Good thing these people made good use of helicopters, jet packs, drones...
Where the hell did you see signs the reapers were made by humans?
I hate how people jump to the wildest conclusions in stuff like this lol. They literally have a conversation about who made them and chick looks up as in "something not from earth made them"
@@themojoverse I thought she was referring to the satellites that control them. The movie is trying too hard to be deep in a bad way. Low budget movies like this one need to have mystery but it was just a big flop in my opinion. There could have been so many cool things happening but they did the boring old hollywood formula.
@@TheSkyFallTronic

Bro, thats just reapers blowing up💀💀💀
You did not watch to the post scene after the end of the film. Don't assume that people are dumb, if you have not checked if you are right. That can backfire pretty bad.
Earth decided to do human pest control with some tech.
Noone mentioning the easy access to cobalt being the most wtf point to the movie.
If this is similar to Tomorrow War this would be a bummer
Was this everyone jus keeping their SAG insurance active?
The two main stars, when you look at the credits, produced the movie, so they, like Stallone, were just casting themselves in their own movie.
I never understood why no helicopters were around? The cars worked but nothing that could fly was available. The creatures obviously couldn't fly so how could they be that deadly?
Ever notice latinos dont seem to hardly ever live or exist in apocalyptic movies.
nina is as close as we are going to get and Morena is hot ever since i seen her in the final seasons of SG - 1......or the ABC series "V"
Latinos? Which ones? White Latinos, black Latinos, Asian Latinos, mixed Latinos? How about stfu.
Pretty sure the doctor is latina and her husband and kids in the photo 100% were so basically latinos saved the entire planet in this film lol
Awake, I am legend, TWD, Resident Evil, Army of the dead. That being said, we do need different settings for apocalypse movies
@pablo_fre5hcobar you must be as old or a lil older to name all those good show and movies! Classic man🫡🫡✊️💯
Someone should do reapers v whitespikes
More like Reapers vs Death Angels. I feel like the Whitespikes can only win on a numbers game and even then the Reapers would hunt the Queens and then its gg. Something they didnt answer in the movie is if the Reapers can work in water.
@ see I wondered that but they were machines ion think so but the death angels are cheat codes idk too many that could beat them.
@@deontadonald1057 yea they are but Reapers are pretty close to cheat codes themselves with a personal tech shield and hard plated armor 😂
@ i also don’t like how now every alien monster movie is automatically compared to a quiet place lol
@@deontadonald1057 for this I compared the 2 because the Death Angels have strong armored skin. With the Whitespikes, they have no real protection against the Reapers and they have no real offense against them either.
They just simply have too many vulnerabilities against Reapers.
um mid credit scene is of them killing reapers.
What if the meteors were deaths angels from a quite place?
If they were living beings with a weak circulatory system meaning oxygenation would be an issue at high elevations then the 8,000' altitude might make sense, but since they are often called technological machines then that 8000 number is arbitrary and makes no sense at all as they wouldnt need to breath so thin air would do nothing to them.
Sounds like they just wanted a movie that rode off the back of the popularity that the tomorrow war had, but with a different twist.
Maybe Wi-Fi connection ..go to far they shut off
If they are machines run by a central processor the signal might not reach.
@@lukegeekwalker2689 but if that were the case then it would be a question of distance, not elevation.
U missed the ending with the things coming from space
8k feet, thin atmosphere

Those monsters look just like the monsters from Chris Pratt futuristic movie i just cant remember the name of it 🤔
The Tomorrow War...
@RobinRockefeller totally 😎👍🏽👍🏽
Like alot of movies today they use some good actors and just rush the movie out to get money its not like the 90s and back where they used time and pride on them
Low budget quiet place/ 5th wave / birdbox.
So most of Africa be okay since most of the continent especially when you go so-called South the exits at a higher altitude than the North Africa
that is not right. explosions in final wide shot were the humans blowing up monsters with cobalt bullets hence why the ap was showing them take their world back. not meteors from the sky as you said or attack from abovr, mid credit showing the cluster of stars only was too indicate tat te creators may be from aliens,
