This show was filmed less than an hour from where I live in Nova Scotia Canada. I watch every episode because I've been in the place they're filming before. Some locals got extra spots roles.
When 9/11 happened, many planes landed immediately in Canada. Random people FROM different places had to deal with being in an unfamiliar place and stayed in locals' homes. That's how the writer got the idea of FROM, according to an interview.
Some theories I subscribe to: - a testing ground for emerging myths/deities (with a mockery of both Valhalla and the Garden Eden baked into its DNA) - a prison for Djinn - a tulpa town (as Boyd surreptitiously comes across livestock, the talismans and the worms, although those last ones obviously carried a curse with them as well) - a Shadow Realm according to the teachings of C.G. Jung (not mine) - a manifestation of the entity's subconscious with the monsters functioning as "anti bodies" or phages breaking down and digesting the Fromville denizens - either the Ankouey kids or Victor's dream/nightmare/trauma taking shape
My theory (trying to match with lost ) 1. This place has both good and bad energy 2. Now the place is ruled by a evil entity who feeds on suffering of the people 3. This entity or pegan God was summoned or worshiped by some of the town people by a blood sacrifice 4. The good entity is bringing people who can break the curse like they are chosen candidates 5. Or the people who enter fromvile were the reincarnation of the people who had submitted thier souls to the evil entity and are in continues loop of reincarnation until they break the curse 6. Or Some of them like Byod , Tabitha, Jade are candidates who once submitted thier soul to the evil entity but now after reincarnation they are given a chance of redemption by the good entity.
This is fantastic. I DO want to point out that red ochre has been sacred to so many groups of people in so many time periods, it wouldn't necessarily be that significant, unless the person researching all this for the show wasn't aware of this.
Don’t ready into the weather too much. They filmed in winter because of the writers strike. They wrote it into the show, but unlikely has any major plot points
@ check the community tab on my page I made a long post about the premise of this show. Which was disclosed to viewers in the first 6 or so episodes. Albeit in a round about manner. @ThePrimordialJunction
There's a sorta inception/sci fi element that's not covered by this video. Like Tabitha keeps getting head injuries in the same place as the Ankoowie kids. The blood circle symbol is on the computer monitor in Tabitha's hospital room. THAT'S not nothing and points to either Tabby being in the hospital in a coma or something or Camden is not actually the "real" world at all. The "Boy In White" might actually be a DOCTOR in white that is trying to heal her. And Boyd- he keeps getting the same shoulder injury. Over and over. Definitely sus.
I think you’re right about a lot..keep in mind that in Native American culture you become a crow when you die. Also, they viewed hallucinogens as a way to enter alternate realities….like pot.
I just find it funny how on a series called From the characters never talk about where everybody is actually FROM. Like wth I think that would be a little important given that there's not a lot of people in Fromland so they must have something in common other than shit luck to have ended up there.
I have a theory: the town is either moving or rotating which is why you end up in different places when you use the faraway trees. Victors mother made a map tracked the sun and moon locations on the map and numbers in the bottles. Those years represent the big event in the town probably a solar eclipse or some special placement so when the moon or sun lines up perfectly the roots are crossed evenly like it shows in the sketchbook and that is the day everyone can get sacrificed or and that day the bottle tree will take you out of town. Maybe it’s a solstice or a full moon. Probably winter solstice
I'm personally assuming the bottled numbers are a coordinate system, and when they took a few down to investigate they messed up the system hence a certain person ending up in a wall.
From the beginning I was like, wtf is going on and loved it? Then I learned it's from the makers of, Lost, and my smile dropped hoping it's not an other goose chase to nowhere.
I have a theory on the title what it stands for what it means. From is called from because it's pulling people FROM different areas of the country for different reasons it's as simple as that. Everybody is looking at complexity or sprites or fairies I don't think so. I think it just has to do with these people getting transported FROM where they were to this place for whatever reason
Okay that makes sense. It seems to be a pocket dimension that sucks in humans and monsters to play in but what objective does this serve? What is the monster's objective to play with humans as they don't eat humans or drink their blood. They're not vampires and haven't turned anyone.
@@Tez60 That's a great time travel show like dark but less complicated. I wish they would give us more seasons. But it's worth watching even if only two seasons.
This theory is what I’m running with and I think these From fae chose psychic sensitive individuals to come to Fromville. Which would make sense they shut the tarot cards down with Tilly. That would’ve gave away to much, almost like cheating in a poker game.
Movies like "The black Phone" are proof that it is possible to make horror/mistery shows with intelligent protagonists. I'm enjoying “From”, but I think the writers could balance it better. There are situations in the series that are so ridiculous that they are done just to extend the story further. Honestly, it's irritating how they belittle the intelligence of the audience.
I have never heard of this series, here in the UK! Sounds pretty cool. 🙂 (However, you Yanks should know that the name and concept "The (Magic) Faraway Tree" was in fact invented by one of our best-known and most nostalgic authors of the 1950s/60s, namely Enid Blyton. She wrote a children's book of that title. No "blood sacrifices", though. 😏)
I love all the information you provided. Alot of the content is interesting. However the writers are catering to a general audience that does not know all this history, symbolism, folklore, etc. And they would not expect an audience to know all of this content. Maybe the writers took inspiration from this content you present, but they are catering to the average Jane and Joe.
From is the 4th dimension. Dimension 369. The physical world (124578) was created FROM the non-physical world (369). Mythology always have two worlds, with one world connected to or created by the other. Look into vortex math. The show From is also just retelling the story of the solar cycle from March 21st.
My theory is an unspeakable rite of evil magic was performed in the 19th century involving the ankooey children and later in the 20th century somehow that ancient evil was activated and fromville became separated from the rest of the world and became a part of the supernatural world.
Bread and iron = fish and loaves? The bread/loaves make sense. But what about the iron? Please don't tell me that fish is high in iron bc that stretches the analogy beyond what can be considered reasonable.
Are the tree roots overlapping, the trees that are on the ground and get folks trapped in the town? I wonder if the roots weren’t overlapping, would that let them out of the town through the farway trees 🤷🏽♀️😂
Its a dimensional rift maybe a einsten rosen bridge to another lower dimension in space and time here in case is the fromville , its based on simulation theory basically a game... where you have complete quest in order to level up and yes ethan was right .....
you could atleast give jeremy, reel enigma and others credit because we and they been went over the fae and celtic mythology and sluagh lore, but ijs lol #fromily
Soooo is FromVille one of the oldest towns in American history..?? if so Im going with Tinkerbell type Rumpelstiltskin type creatures fucking with ppl... sorry for dumbing it down so much Lol
My thought exactly. And then there is the root cellar (which is one of the areas the monsters come out of at night. I would hang a talisman inside the root cellar and lock it down so the monsters can't get out.
IM ONLY here for the comments that types NOTHING IS BEING ANSWERED #EMOJI TEARS, maybe if ya didn't binge watch season 1 , 2, and 3 and paid attention ya wouldn't be lost, maybe if ya did research ya wouldn't be lost

next time im down there i plan on visiting the area (im newfoundlander)
@ it’s honestly a super boring area but the scenery is beautiful and the locals are great.
Woooo Nova Scotia
Can’t wait to see how the night walkers are made… perhaps Fatima will show us soon?
Boyd asked how the monsters are made so I feel like the town is showing him and Fatima will kill his son
Night walkers? 😂 just stop
I think the big bad entity is like a It monster that feeds off of fear and uses other creatures/monsters to maintain its feeding.
Someone said that Stephen King was contributing to this show , also the teeth of the monsters are very similar to the teeth of the clown IT . 🤔
Thanks for the shoutout. Although that version of the theory is fairly out of date, the parts you highlighted were correct.
Love watching yours and everyone's theories
Omg finally someone with slightly dofferent far more researched theories. This video was a breath of fresh air!
I've seen another video saying there might be fairies
Channel uses AI generated voices and ideas from other creators
Did not know Fae meant From. That's intriguing. and yeah after season 2 the Fae angle does sound much more credible.
Thats because I doesn't from doesn't mean fae
The people aren't so unconnected.....all of them appear to have recently experienced a personal trauma or tragedy, before entering the town.
You see tree roots, I see big spider legs 😂. Still waiting on some big azz spider action.
Haha me too.
Yeah cause like how in season 2 did Boyd and sara’s tent get dragged into the spider web place? And like….. he did get bit by a spider!
😂😂
I think Fatima is the kimono lady. I think she's transforming
When 9/11 happened, many planes landed immediately in Canada. Random people FROM different places had to deal with being in an unfamiliar place and stayed in locals' homes.

😮
they're gonna run into the Yellowjackets girls allowing the girls to go home - psycho crossover :)
hahaha that was funny lmao

A person for the Djinn, I like I like this idea a lot
My theory
(trying to match with lost )
1. This place has both good and bad energy
2. Now the place is ruled by a evil entity who feeds on suffering of the people
3. This entity or pegan God was summoned or worshiped by some of the town people by a blood sacrifice

The entity is likely a representation of the shadow self.
They made a point of saying it hasn't snowed in decades and things are changing so I'm pretty sure it is a big plot point.
LMAO
The dungeon has a wheel like a ship. The ankooey kids are in a circle. The merry go round is a large wheel.
The narrative has a destination, and I had that eureka moment not long ago. And the writers have already told us all of us in the first few episodes.
Please explain if you can, I am lost.
@ check the community tab on my page I made a long post about the premise of this show. Which was disclosed to viewers in the first 6 or so episodes. Albeit in a round about manner. @ThePrimordialJunction

From the first episode I thought they were dealing with fairies
Why no one speaking about a guy speaking to Jim in season one when he made that Antena???????
I just find it funny how on a series called From the characters never talk about where everybody is actually FROM. Like wth I think that would be a little important given that there's not a lot of people in Fromland so they must have something in common other than shit luck to have ended up there.
They already made a map which shows where everyone is from.

I like where yo head is at 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 gotta get Neil D Tyson on your theory
I'm personally assuming the bottled numbers are a coordinate system, and when they took a few down to investigate they messed up the system hence a certain person ending up in a wall.
@@Oxygenep12 while watching it I thought the same thing

That and most likely a lot more, I think it has multiple connections/meanings.
Because our world comes From the other dimension.
Okay that makes sense. It seems to be a pocket dimension that sucks in humans and monsters to play in but what objective does this serve? What is the monster's objective to play with humans as they don't eat humans or drink their blood. They're not vampires and haven't turned anyone.
Anyone ever see OuterRange in Prime Video.?

1st From Hell .... aka work, to watch another Marvelous vid
I think the last theory is on the mark, after a quick research i found that Shanawdithit left various drawings of mythical creatures.
I feel "they" are coming for Fatima because Boyd killed Smiley.

With all the trees around and nothing but time, couldn’t they build some type of Fence around the town?
Doesn't look like the restroom area to me😂😂😂😂😂
ok the ppl in the cave painting is not drawn in red but white, also the trees are not drawn in white either in the cave.
This guy like others makes it up as he goes along.
The creatures seem to follow certain rules. They could have just attacked Victor or his father in the most recent one but they threaten them instead.
I wonder if the entity can change the weather, why not make the night 24/7 so the people can't get out of the houses, to make them go crazy.
Bread and iron = fish and loaves? The bread/loaves make sense. But what about the iron? Please don't tell me that fish is high in iron bc that stretches the analogy beyond what can be considered reasonable.
He's just talking out his a$#
Maybe the fallen tree is a faraway tree that needs to be revived and replanted to work as exit again
Great theory with information!
Maybe the fallen tree is lile far away tree, that's why people get teleported after seeing the tree
Are the tree roots overlapping, the trees that are on the ground and get folks trapped in the town? I wonder if the roots weren’t overlapping, would that let them out of the town through the farway trees 🤷🏽♀️😂
its boring, every episode is nothing but drama with 5 minutes of horror, sometimes, other times its just drama, its as boring as LOST
Its a dimensional rift maybe a einsten rosen bridge to another lower dimension in space and time here in case is the fromville , its based on simulation theory basically a game... where you have complete quest in order to level up and yes ethan was right .....
the monsters are like demon wendigos.
The entity of fromville is mabuse the name was spotted when Henry and Tabitha were in the ambulance
Spotted where
there has to be a season 4 at the least they be leaving so many questions unanswered
I heard they go for 5 seasons
Fromville comes from the Chram of Fruma Sarah, the butcher’s first wife. She was standing there a minute ago!!!!!!
From writers are punching air watching this. lmao
The symbol is visible in the sky in S1:E1 in first few minutes
Why don’t they put a talisman in the home of the monsters. After they’ve come out?
The roots that make the symbols are the roots of the far away trees. The roots changing are coordinates. 🤷🏽♂️
You are pronouncing Newfoundland and Beothuk incorrectly. No hate, I just wanted to let you know.
I think he may be Dutch or sweedish based on his "th" sounds. That may be the pronunciation culturally for him.
I've heard Canadians AND people from Newfoundland pronounce it the same way. Just saying.
you could atleast give jeremy, reel enigma and others credit because we and they been went over the fae and celtic mythology and sluagh lore, but ijs lol #fromily
Had me until he said they control light and then turn it into electricity lol.
it’d be so sad if one of the lil an khuy ghosts is victors sister
Soooo is FromVille one of the oldest towns in American history..?? if so Im going with Tinkerbell type Rumpelstiltskin type creatures fucking with ppl... sorry for dumbing it down so much Lol
Lol martin literally never said that at all.
BURN THE FOREST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My thought exactly. And then there is the root cellar (which is one of the areas the monsters come out of at night. I would hang a talisman inside the root cellar and lock it down so the monsters can't get out.
Anodder, odder = Pet Peeve.
Actual newfie here, please fix your pronunciation. you are waaayyyyy off on how you say beothuk. also Shanawdithit.
