- So i'm totally shy about this cover. I made it all this afternoon... recorded in my bedroom. One take, recorded on a tripod.. tangled in wires on the floor singing Nirvana for you all. I'm nervous about uploading this... i know there's die hard fans. I LOVE nirvana.. hope you all enjoy my own version of this awesome song!! Check out my band Hands Off Gretel... Recording our album next year. Grunge rock.. female fronted.. inspired by Nirvana, Hole, L7.. that whole side of music. (the best side)... I feel girls don't scream enough when they sing Nirvana.. so.. i'm in competition with the boys now i guess ;)

HEY EVERYONE! Just like to thank everyone for their nice comments on my cover, believe me i was shitting myself to put it up. I don't even read these comments anymore because of how much HATE i'm getting from Nirvana fans. I'm a 19 year old girl in my room, singing song from the bands i love and i'm getting keyboard warriors telling me who I AM and that i'm singing Nirvana wrong and that "If i wanna sing like Kurt i gotta feel his pain". If u wanna hear Me.. go listen to MY music. Hear what i have to say, i did this cover because i loved this song (DO I FU*K KNOW WHAT IT's ABOUT AND NEITHER DO YOU)! Jesus. So yeah, i have my own band 'Hands Off Gretel' if u wanna check that out and stop trying to kill my self esteem and point out that not only am i shit singer with no feeling, i'm also really weird and you hate my personality? Half of the kids my age are only just finding good music from the 90s, why would you discourage that? Music is hard enough as it is without people feeling the need to hurt and harass eachother. So yeah, i don't read these comments anymore because they just make me feel shit inside. Thank you to everyone that has enjoyed this cover however, it really means so so much to me as i was so scared to cover a Nirvana song knowing i'd get hate. It is all about loving the music. I know you do by the fact you have a band and, most importantly, the strength in your voice. I am delighted you do not sound like Kurt. Vocally the only thing he had going for him was his pain, he was not a strong vocalist. You, on the other hand, are. You have discovered the music that made the '90's such an important time in music history and you draw from it. It is obvious by your music you are influenced by it. This is what drew me to your band.
Ignore the haters and follow your instincts they have not led you wrong so far. By the way if it means anything, and coming from me this is huge, (I am the biggest Layne Staley fan ever) you have the same strength in your voice he had. You have an incredible range and I think Layne and Kurt would love your style.
As a long standing fan of Nirvana I have to say that I quite enjoyed you're rendition of this song. Haters are going to hate. That is the curse of the narrow mind. Always seeking that which they cannot find. Passion leaks and truth speaks. I wish you many years expressing yourself to the fullest. Keep on keeping on.

I'm a bass player in a Punk Band. I have played in many bands, and I have seen a lot of singers in my time. This girl is pretty damn Good. For all of you spouting negative stuff, you go record yourself and put it up. It's not easy to play and sing, and it takes courage to expose yourself to all the criticism out there. So be kind to one another. This was a good cover and this girl rocks. If you cannot say anything nice, then just leave her alone.

I was a teenager when Grunge hit the scene. Nirvana is hard to sing. I do not like hearing covers,however this was the best I have ever heard. You are beautiful and thank you for bringing back music. I love all of the songs you and your band have played on this channel so far. I will be introducing to my teenage son 😜

I been watching a lot of Grunge/Rock(Punk) covers... And in the majority of the videos where there's a girl singing there's always comments like "You're trying to hard to be like..." lt's so annoying! Maybe if you werent all butthurt then today music could be not like it is... Cause maybe they're not trying, maybe they're just like that! It's kinda hard to be "new" when everything is so old and used today.
