Secondly, the Energized Neck Coil does work, it's just hard to translate so everyone understands how it works. Been running it since I picked it up and has stayed on for 260 hours now. It's so good. So, 1 enemy will cause the explosion; but it has to meet certain conditions. For example, the robot species are afflicted with corroded and it has caused the explosion. Each enemy can only cause an explosion once per status; so you can get 4 explosions (fire, acid, shock, bleed) to activate. Now, say there are 2 bots within the 5m radius, Bot 1 is hit with burn, explosion happens and Bot 2 is now afflicted with fire. That means the burn is removed from the explosion pool at this time; also, since Bot 2 shares the same status with Bot 1, you can not proc an explosion from fire on Bot 2. Similarly, elites/bosses/world bosses are the same condition. 1 status explosion and its gone, 3 left if you happen to have that status effect somewhere on hand. It's a fantastic amulet and I've spent too much time figuring out the math, cause and effect, while debunking some early misinformation from random. I may have to make a video on it to really explain it, because I kinda got lost myself typing this out haha. Furthermore, there is no cool down timer hidden in it, like I see people post about it on reddit.
I will also add to this, applying a new stack of the same element on the same enemy will proc a new explosion, too. I like the enigma with twisting wounds, so a nice 2 - for - 1. Shotty/bow/typewriter with firestorm or corrosive rounds and momentum is super killer. And then element melee of choice. Mostly, people are saying it's a random chance for explosion, when it's not the case. Some enemies are more resistant to certain effects and some are immune; that's why it doesn't explode sometimes. You can test it with an enemy in the water. Burn will never proc, but shock will proc and do 50% increase damage. (I'm still trying to confirm this one, so take it with a grain of salt)
@@thatguylegit69 the devs said it was bugged themselves, it should have been fixed during the halloween event patch but they forgot to include it so its gonna be fixed when the dlc drops. sometimes if a status is applied it doesn't register that it actually is, hence why folk say its random, meaning you can apply the 4 damaging statuses on an enemy without it proccing ones if you are unlucky
Slow and Madness don’t count as status effect for Ahanae Crystal ring , only Shock / Corrosive / Bleed / Fire is count, which give you 20% dmg bonus if all 4 applied . Tested multiple times !
Firestorm is a bit wonky, for some reason if you direct hit larger enemies on their upper half it just likes to not damage them. It really needs to be fixed but until then I've had way more success aiming it at the bosses feet when possible, it seems to actually damage and stick to them way better that way. I have no idea why it behaves the way it does

Wouldn’t hotshot be better then firestorm for burn effect ? I found firestorm bad for my health lol.
I 100% agree! It's way better and consistent! If fire storm worked properly then it could be just as efficient. That's just my opinion.
