I wish Flir would look on this and work on their software. Especially the temperature alarm is something i often wished for. Like when you charge some lipos that you don't 100% trust anymore being able to setup the thermal camera with a temperature alarm would be so helpful. Also the startup time is pretty impressive on this one. On my Flir One i could sometimes cook and drink an espresso while it tries to start :D

Great video, just a quick advice that i didn't know: Don't point your thermal camera directly to sun or temperatures above 300ºC for a long time. This will lead to sensor damage.
Interesting that the glass on the Nixie tubes is opaque to infrared as well as you can't read the digits and the tubes seem to be cooler than most of the circuitry.

Sweat glands are found in cats only in the area of the mouth, on the anus, around the teats and especially on the pads of the paws.
The capabilities of this ir camera and its associated software are pretty good buts its missing the key technical option of visible light camera overlay; the price point is too high without this feature. Awesome review, thankyou.
I think it's usable without it. The resolution is enough to figure out what you're looking at. And of course, for macros, the overlay wouldn't work anyway, the offset would be far too big when used up close.
Hi, is it possibile as you know to use this camera as stand alone camera put on a drone with a little circuit to power it and transmit the images and videos to ground station on a different display/tablet with receiver on it? Just because this camera is very light to put on a drone.

Flir sat on their butt - happy with their near monopoly on this tech for too long. Raking in PUNITIVE prices for their product. Seek was poor quality, unreliable, prone to failure. Seek LIED to me saying their compact pro was compatible with iPhone 5. It was NOT. I told them I bought it based on that promise. First, they said their engineers are working on it. Then they said it's not going to happen. I had to pay Apple for another iPhone. Then I got STUCK buying iPhones because the camera. I then had to replace it. First camera failed after a year and a half of 2, 3 times a month 5 minute uses. Now I own this camera. It's perfect, so far. AND I like the price. Great performance, but the iPhone 12 Pro Max does stutter and hang on it's app. NOT 25 frames per second - It's sometimes .0003 frames per second.

Well... Digital thermal cameras are probably more than 20 years old by now but they still expensive af. Don't expect it to go down in price anytime soon.
The thermal camera was sensitive enough to see the steam coming from the hot food and the smoke from the fire, so it obviously can detect hot gases ..... Have you tried cooking some beans?

I've just bought P2 Pro for about one month, it impressed me a lot. It's so convenient that it is widely applicable to scenarios such as appliances and electronics and building HVAC.
Now you just need Doogee to send you an S98 Pro with built-in thermal camera and IR night vision and other stuff to compare to these add-on dongle things... :P
Greetings. I would like to ask you if it is possible, with this Thermal Camera repair the electronic tabs of the televisions. Point the room on the TV cards and see which processor or other component does not heat, even SMD. The component who does not heat could be defective.
Dog’s nose is cold, even colder when he pushes it against you. I think you can paint the shiny aluminium surfaces to get their temperature, messes up a pcb appearance when you paint it though. Maybe some powder would work. Not sure about the car lights, the ir doesn’t go through polycarbonate or glass.
For the fire you should use the extended range. I wonder if they say anything about that in the user manual. Can filming very hot stuff damage the micro bolometer ?

Seriously, what does that option do? How effective is it? What's the difference if it's off? Allowing to turn it off is a proof that it probably has some drawbacks and if you don't need it, it's better to turn it off. Usually there's a shutter that is activated regularly to close the it camera to have a known uniform temperature in front of it. This way you can compensate for errors. Maybe it's activated more often if the hottest point is too high to let that area of the sensor cool down. And maybe if it's too hot, close it most of the time to avoid any damage. But that's speculation from me. Does the manufacturer give any information on that?
Nice. How about taking it to bits and making schematic of it? Just kidding. But to be honest the biggest disadvantage is the forced "watermark"/"free advertisement" saying InfiRay. That should be illegal. Why would I do a free advertisement of something that I've payed for? Imagine if your phone had a watermark when taking a picture saying Samsung, Asus etc. ? I would decompile the app and then remove the watermark in Eclipse.
Well, no decompiling needed. The watermark can be just turned off :). But because they gave it to me for free, I decided to leave it on during this video. You can go to settings - General - Water Marker and turn it off.
@@DiodeGoneWild In secondary side 1000 micro 50v cap become hot. I checked every thing around that but I don't find shorty. There are not output voltages to the main board. Filament of the test lamp is glowing on off on off... with tick tack sound in smps.

Heatsinks are mostly bare aluminium and that acts like a mirror for IR light. So, no, he has to touch them to figure out how hot they are.

The lens must be in germanium, I have a few kilos of germanium in old IR lenses 🙄
some plastics are also possible, but yes probably. Although germanium is not actually the best material for this in every way.

I never tried, but probably not. It's not intended for it.

The T2S+ is the better camera with full macro manual focus to infinity.
