This episode is such a stunning metaphor for Crowleyanism: shoving smaller people out of the way with impunity, passing into higher consciousness, jumping to the head of the line of rebirth and trying to beat up God.
@@Doubtlessly Which is a great song but Ozzy was definitley fucked up when he wrote it, it completely misunderstands most of Crowley's stuff and even pronounces his name wrong. fucking banger of a tune tho
Yeah no kiddin. And from what I know of the guy’s life, I think him being immortalized in a song that pronounces his name wrong would totally infuriate him and I find that endlessly entertaining
It takes a lot of strength to look at the negatives in your life and see the good in them. I'm a really pessimistic person, but it's a miserable way to be. I hope I can have this kind of out look one day.
Well Damian's imprisonment was unjust and didn't do anything wrong. Yet he ended up in Jail anyway. He had nothing to be guilty about, so until he could get out he had to adapt and be able to endure the situation he was in. That's a degree of Physical and Spiritual strength you don't here much about. Most people wouldn't come out of Jail feeling blessed, but his trials and tribulations made him grow as a person. It's the kind of stuff Christians aspire of but most wouldn't ever dream of really going through any kind of suffering.
For me, if I have a negative experience, I sometimes use that experience to help other people avoid that situation. Like, if I slip on a puddle, I'll clean it up or if someone insults me, then I'll be more aware of my words so other people don't feel the same way I did. In that sense, you can experience unpleasant situations, and take something from them without identifying something inherently good in the experience.
My guy was part of the West Memphis three going to jail is a real nice way of putting, "wrongfully arrested and put on death row under false pretenses because of bullshit satanic panic logic."
I think what I was going for was the idea of just having faith. Even if you can’t understand it or don’t want to accept it, you have to say to yourself “Yeah, that too”.
It may be counter-intuitive as far as cartoons go, but these are real life conversations from human perspectives. This one for example came from a teen sentenced to death row for a crime he did not commit. If you ever get the chance look up "Duncan trussell introduces midnight gospel"
@@areyoustillwatching7888 Nope, images are fine, conversations are fine. I know all about the series, read and watched the interviews, and watched a few episodes as well. We intend to do a tribute to the series. Nonetheless, I don't believe it. It's their search, though, so it's their answers.
@@penelopegreene No yeah of course. They've gone through things some of us can't relate to or even begin to comprehend. Like Duncan Trussel's (Clancy) mother dying of cancer and accepting death. But there's something to take away from their situations, at the very least observing human nature from a 3rd person perspective.

Damien Echols is such a kind and wise person his RUclips channel goes way in depth about high magick
He is an incredible teacher with a level of understanding few ever gain. However it is important to remember where he started.

I need to try that whole “don’t give it power” thing. That being said, I get to see my own motorcycle pretty soon, so maybe things aren’t all bad.

Have they done suicide? Just started
@chelseajadewasmuth3549 no suicide, but they do discuss the concept of hopeless and breaking the cycle

Because most of the people who like this show are deracinated manchildren who don't know what Akira is.
