This is the most underrated youtuber I have ever seen, he puts a lot of effort in his videos and is the only one who actually does research and not just search on Google, he deserves a million subs.
Also has the most ingredients needed to make it. Salad = 2 Lettuce, 2 Tomato. Pizza = 1 Flour, 2 Red Berries, 2 Tomato, 2 Milk. Minestrone = 3 Tomato, 2 Onion, 2 Carrot, 1 Potato
Now this is what I have been waiting for to use as a reference for people. Good to see that Minestrone is actually really good to use, a perfect upgrade over using salads for end game bases, and at all food levels its better so you can work on switching over as soon as its craftable. Makes hitting that level 41 for the electric kitchen quite useful now, not only to craft faster then the pot but also the better work speed unlock. It is fun though how you actually want your pals to be eating the food so the pals that don't need to eat as much in the earlier tiers do worse with pizza's because it keeps them full longer. Really showing just how much you don't want passives that reduce food consumption. I wonder just how bad the lower 5 tiers would be with the passives as well, as they'd spend most of their time with no buff at all haha
True on this, it does take more workload to craft and we can craft salads as early as level 25 yet Minestrone only at 41. Still, if you do setup the other farms it will be the best to use your ingredients for. And you do need the new vege's for research.
@@TropsPlaysmi-nuh-strow-nee Another great video man. Regardless of how you pronounce it...we are grateful for the testing you do. And everyone knew exactly what you were talking about.
I appreciate the video, i thought minestrone was it, but i was operating mostly on a hunch. So it's nice to have it confirmed. I did feel like i was in a timewarp for the first 2/3rds of the video. What with the repeating food amounts lol.
@TropsPlays i don't really think that it's your fault. The data just kept repeating. Maybe had you run the tests for longer there would have been a greater variance, but for how you tested that's just the way the numbers came out. I was more laughing at how at the lower tiers the amount of food consumed was identical. That's just a symptom of how the satiation system works.
@DecrepitHero I did track the hunger and sanity but after multiple tests it just wasn't consistent and wasn't a fact so I scrapped them. For instance san doesn't always rest at 70% even for the same pal. They all go eat at 50% hunger but they only eat for like 20 seconds compared to like minute or more in the hottub because even when they teach 100% san they still stay inside for ages.
The love for details in your videos is unmatched. How you even kneel down and welcome every pal before sending them into test mode is just adorable. Not to mention the premium content; all your perfectly set up tests and experiments. Keep going 🫶🏻
Hey man i love your videos there amazing. If you ever run out of content for palworld or just bored you should try conan exiles, one of my favorite games and you can capture humans with different skills like carpenter or blacksmith. Theres different tribes and different named ones so you can do similar videos and have a fun time
Comparing this video with The Pal Professor's is interesting. It makes sense for Minestrone to be better for 1-2 hunger pals because they have the same uptime on the salad and minestrone food buffs but minestrone provides more work speed. But around 4 hunger there should have been a shift to salad. Bushi could've kept the salad buff up the entire time while minestrone would have fallen off. Then at 7+ hunger they move back toward minestrone.
I get what you're saying, but in practice, this isn't the case as you don't take into account the 3 san rests per day which all the food bonuses drops off a lot sooner than expected, making the 40% bonus much more valuable
I only did the farming foods as that more easily to acquire with spending time hunting. I will be doing all the hunting food next with the same setup which I will compare to this video at the end so people have even more 9ptions
Salad has a work speed of 30, sanity of 11, and nutrition of 84 Pizza has a work speed of 30, sanity of 23, and a nutrition of 184. it also has a hunger resist of 25. Mini has a work speed buff of 40, Sanity of 18 and a nutrition of 146. The hunger resist on pizza as well as its high nutrition value probably account for why it is worse on 5 and below; the pals just don't have enough food need to justify the bonus. Minestrone being the most productive food makes sense as well as its buff of +40 is higher than the rest. Personally I just do salad as balancing production on 4 crop types is going to be a nightmare. That being said, if I have to rejig my base I will probably swap to Minestrone as the ingredients are also used in Mammorest Curry and I always have a ton of extra Mammorest Meat floating around from Expeditions.
Tbh the hunger buff doesn't matter too much as it takes a while to drop down anyway, the most time wasted comes from the Sanity resting which they all did 3 minimum per day/night cycle. Pizzas and salads was literally neck and neck all throughout the video as I tested them 10 times each. They kept going back and forth would was on top between the two. Minestrone never lost and always was number 1 10-10 of the time.
Thats a really small difference in work done compared with these foods. Minestrone is "better" but its only marginally better for high tier base pals and requires more effort and resources than something as easy as salads. The only exception being a task that drains sanity quickly like coin production.
@TropsPlays I agree its good knowledge. It's just disappointing the differences aren't bigger for investing in these 4-5 ingredient foods by the time you unlock them.
I agree that for going the extrs mile to min/max everything in your base we would all prefer s bigger payoff.....but every small advantage adds up in the end. Edit: Considering that the vast majority of us will have everything automated, the only real difference is which food you highlight before you click.
You based the results on amount of wood/ore produced (and maybe how much was eatin?), but what were their sanity levels after the full cycle? Which food works best for sanity upkeep over a longer period of time?
what about french fries??? 35 nutrition, 10 sanity. but also makes sanity 25% less likely to drop for 10 minutes... (i believe that's what "San resist 25" means) seems it'd be the best for keeping San up at the least, and only two ingredients, potatoes and high quality pal oil (can get from Dumud on a ranch)
Yeah. I don't know salad is cheap fast and simple. Pizza requires materials that cake also share and cake 100x more important then a 1% efficiently increase. Plus when you are high enough to mass produce things like the soup you can just run a shroomer noc sanity becomes a after thought
Why do they eat more minestrone than salad though int he lower levels? Ewual would make sense but consistently that one extra seems odd, given salad doesnt satiate hungrr for longer

This video didn't deliver what was expected. I wanted to see different work speeds, sanity levels, economy and ease of crafting etc. Nowhere near in-depth enough.
I did track san but didn't include it as it's base on luck. A pal can go at 70% but that doesn't mean it will, also if it's busy working it won't go either until finished.
