    I enjoyed the simplicity of this painting & practicing the variations of green which you used in this painting. Thank you for sharing your talent.

    So many valuable points you have made in this one..first ,showing the original photo reference along with the finished composition & explaining why you made the changes for better design.Also,your continued comments throughout the process explaining design wise why you are painting a certain way.The comment about brushstrokes having a purpose,although common sense,it is easy to overlook or forget this during the painting process.This is a such a pleasing composition of a water lily with a simple but effective colour palette.

    So beautiful, the lily seems luminescent. Thank you for sharing the process so thoroughly, as always, exemplary tutorial.

    Thank you once again Rick. My daughter in law has asked me to paint some water lilies for her, this will help with colour choices and composition for sure 🤗

    Hi Rick I love you paintings and tutorials for watercolor beginners. My question is am I allowed to sell a painting that was painted and finished following your instructions?

    • @RickSurowiczWatercolor
      @RickSurowiczWatercolor  6 лет назад +1

      It's not a common practice, however, the paintings in my videos are there to paint and learn from. If someone wants to sell their resulting work at a local venue, I don't mind.

    So, this paper was dry when you started out? No pre-moistening?
