  • This week I wanted to try something new and build a modern style home. I found an awesome location next to Riverside Manor in the Forest Region. I also really wanted to use color in a new and interesting way and I think it turned out great...hope you like it too!
    Upon rewatch, there's a bit more 'fuzz' in my dialogue than I remember. Don't mind the stutters and pauses...I'm still not quite used to narrating these haha.
    The intro song is "Allégro" by Emmit Fenn:

    If you don't know already, if you place the dead elm tree that came with, I think, the haunted house bundle, that will clear a fairly large area around it, so the weeds won't pop up. If you put it tight up against the house, maybe alongside that tree that is part of the build, then destroy the dead elm, the effect will be permanent and no one will see the elm there. I got this method from Stole Your Sweet Roll.

      Good tip, thanks! Someone else mentioned the fashnacht confetti floor decor will do the same thing if placed under a foundation. Too bad I didn't know for this build haha. Appreciate the comment, thanks for watching!

    I've probably watched this video 4 or 5 times, and the only thing I would change is that I would have made the main entrance way only half a foundation deep. For someone who didn't do modern builds at the time you killed it!!!

    I never understood why you start with crappy walls made of wood but considering the double wall method and scrap reasons it makes sense. You can sort of visualize the build easier by starting with low budget walls that way if it isn’t it, it isn’t it and I don’t have to feel bad about scrapping it all down or storing it all for later use. Thanks for the tip.

    • @Fuzz-Brain
      @Fuzz-Brain  11 месяцев назад

      You can start with whatever kind of wall you want...I think I just had way more wood than steel at that point haha. There are some walls that are friendlier than others for doubling up, but it just comes down to your resources. Thanks for watching!

    Beautifully done and well executed with the minimal furniture. Most just forget the end goal and end up filling themed builds with items that don't necessarily flow

    Some nice tricks, especially the floral arrangements in the table and the kitchen island. I'm totally stealing that for my next modern build. As a Texan though, I have to tell you that back patio cries out for a barbeque and a couple chairs. 😁

    Love this build. I think you nailed the modern style. The design and decoration were both fantastic. Very nicely done. Not sure if you know, but if you have issues of plants popping up through the foundations you can put the confetti on the ground then put the foundation over it. It will stop them from coming back. Thanks for sharing the build. 👍

    Hi, Fuzz Brain, I built your house, and I love it. Thank you for the tutorial. How did you get the bedroom floor to look like that at timestamp 26:00?

    • @Fuzz-Brain
      @Fuzz-Brain  6 месяцев назад

      The floor I'm using is just a typical wooden floor, I forget what it's called. Are you referring to the metal pieces? If so, they're from the walls beneath. Sometimes there's nothing you can do about that, unfortunately.

    How did you get the column posts on the right side of the building??

    • @Fuzz-Brain
      @Fuzz-Brain  25 дней назад

      If I remember correctly, I just snapped in the ones that would snap in place and for the inbetween ones, I used the upper floor foundations to place them. Basically you can snap an upper floor foundation to the middle of an upper floor, if that makes sense. I show how I do it in this tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/Jd3pc1f3oYk/видео.html. I also show how to blueprint the stair columns so you can place them anywhere...a super handy trick :)
