Hi Ben, please can you share your take on the Audience Targeting Expansion for detailed and lookalike audience will be a default setting for conversion campaigns
great video!! But I have a question, If I'm creating a campaign for a bar and it's an instagram story video with the goal of getting more people to make reservations to celebrate their birthdays at the bar, which would be the best campaign objective? I'm undecided about it. Thank you :)
Everything well explained! The problem here is that none of the marketers will tell you how to structure your funnel to be profitable with facebook ads! Let's say you are running an ecommerce store the goal is obviously getting sales. If you tell facebook, that you want sales and you choose to go with conversion purchase objective, this will not work out either, the reason for that is a customer needs usually 7-8 touch points to make a purchase. This means you will never be profitable because you're targeting the cold audience with the most expensive objective on facebook. The other option is what other marketers are telling you is use video views to warm up the audience and than retarget those people based on there behavior for example people who watched 75% of your video with that being said you're running into another problem because facebook is giving you low quality people since they're only interested in watching videos. So the main question is what options you have left to warm up good quality audience to convert those sales? This will be more relevant to educate the people what's really going on behind the scenes. I think 99% of the people are watching this they know what the campaign objectives are.
Ben, when you want to advertise ios/android game with focusing on conversions? when to choice app install or conversion? and inside ad-set to choice conversion optimization?
Also, would like to share with you some interesing experience. I had a "reach" campaign running to clients list, and it have 15$ CPM. Than I changed the objectives to traffic and engagement, and it than have aroun 7-9$ CPM. But I thought that "reach" is the most cheap objective.
Thanks alot for this. Qu,,, I made an ad yesterday thanks to your help, but although it says active, it dosnt seem to be doing anything? Familiar story?
Gosh Ben I’m almost crying! It is the real Eureka moment. I have been doing it wrong all the way through. Massive thanks , appreciated your generosity for sharing this in a very simple easily understanding way. Will always look forward to the new content , cheers
Thanks for this, Ben. You said not to run engagement ads because of the negative comments, but do you recommend for Likes? And what are you thoughts on Boosting a post vs. running an Engagement Ad for Likes?
Great stuff ben! .. one question, how about using video views for 1000+ and then retarget those who viewed 25%+ with conversions and build lookalike from those engaged 1000+ viewers
What objective do you recomend for a new Beauty clinic in a small town of 160k people? My taget audience is aprox. 40k people and my conversion or lead ads don't spend money. Reach ads work better but the sales funnel is very bad. Customers see the ad, clicks the page, likes the page and send a message. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
Ben, your videos are amazing. I have a request, if you can do a dedicated video on how we set up and effectively run catalogue sales campaigns it will be surely helpful for us as especially here in India there is a lot of ecom businesses coming in and they don't see the value in facebook and Instagram as they often face issues with firstly configuring the catalogue correctly to be able to use facebook ads to advertise them and then the whole configuration of dynamic variables is another factor we do not have much knowledge on.
Glad to hear it :) It really depends on your set up. If you can install the Facebook Pixel and optimise for conversions then great and that's what I would do. If not, then we'd usually use the Traffic objective.
Hello Ben first of all I want to thank you for vedios which is helping me alot to gain my nano degree in marketing and understand Facebook ads better Also for tour community which is so helpful But i kept on hearing this video alot but I think it is not accurate and I sont know why But after spending lots of many on campaigns I noticed that messages objective drive more sales than sales campaign I know it is weird , I sell lingerie online for 10 years never used any ads except the old engagement and messenger ads once it came to be available After listening to you and learning marketing was happy to understand how Facebook deliver ads But I really still confused because proper mesnger campaigns and customer to be directed from automated message to website is much more profitable And fb reach more ppl willing to convert in messenger better than sales I am not expert like you to know the reason but just wanted to share it
Hi Ben, On the recent Facebook update they consolidated these objectives and now there's only 6 categories. I usually go for messaging campaign for more inquiries but now it's under engagement objective and now mostly I get are ad likes and shares but a fewer messages. Do you have any advise for this? Thanks a million :)
Hey Ben, thanks for this info. If you are a new brand starting out online with shopify, with as little as 5 sales a week or less, is it best to run a traffic campaign to generate as many link clicks and traffic to the website....then once you have enough traffic generated to run a conversions/purchase campaign to try and generate sales? thanks for all your help!
could you please explain 1- instagram ad campaigns and the difference between the 2 facebook and instagram 2-what is the ideal budget for conversion traffic per day ?
Hi Ben, great content as usual. I've been struggling with conversion ads, but then recently I read somewhere that if you have a brand new pixel on your website it will hardly get any conversions and thus a traffic ad is better to gather some data for your pixel first. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Thanks Hilda. I don't agree with that - although you do hear it often. I would go for conversions - but if you aren't seeing great results, I'd try improving other areas of your campaign like targeting, ads, offer, etc.
Hi Ben, love your tutorials, they're gold. One tutorial I have not found in particular anywhere is what the strategy should be for an event that is 6 months away. I'm not talking about objectives, I'll be running ads for cold, warm and hot audiences with appropriate objectives but rather how the budget should be spent... Some people book very early with early bird discounts then sales will slow down, then pickup with the event a month out, 2 weeks out upto the event day. So my question is, if you have a budget of $10,000 for an event, what would be a good strategy to divide that up? Hope that makes sense.
@@BenHeathThat would be much appreciated. I don't think it would be wise to go 10k/6 for each month, and then there's things like how can I run an ad that says 1 month to go, 2 weeks to go, 3 days to go effectively without losing time for the algorithm to learn? A lot of ppl book tickets in the last week or 2 so need to have a great strategy, as the event will be held in 6 cities. Doing my head in :)
Hi Ben, Great Content. What if I want to use Conversion objective on a particular Facebook post to get my product sold? Is it worth to use Conversion objective for just FB post if I dont have a website?
Hi Ben, Thanks for video. I started a new e-commerce site on clothing. I want to announce my brand to people. In this case, what type of ad should I start with? What image and text would be a good start in this ad type?
Hey Ben thanks for the content! How do you transfer a video with social proof (engagement) to a conversion objective with out losing engagement on the ad?
what is the difference between conversions objective campaign vs a traffic objective campaign (both has also been optimised for link clicks and charged per CPC) as i do not have pixel or sdk ?
Hi Ben. What do you think about getting ownership of a Page whose original owner was permanently restricted since last year (personal ad account, and automatically included his 2 BMs)? It seems hopeless already, several appeals have not been answered. There is no major violation as well. Would it affect my Business Manager and Ad Manager? I have not gotten any restriction since December 2020. I had like 10 restrictions for the whole of 2020 and been clean since then. The page is legit, nothing fishy. The page has only about a thousand followers but has been in existence since 2015. Not sure why Facebook restricted owner permanently. May I get your thoughts on this?
Hi Ben Thanks a lot for these videos. Super insightful! I was wondering if there was a way to create an audience based on the video view time of the previous ad ran. It seems like the only option available atm is the view time of videos posted organically. Thanks in advance!
You are very welcome. I've got good news - you can do that. When you create your video view custom audience, you just need to select Ads (or Campaigns) and then you'll see the video.
As a musician, what's the best objective to increase high quality followers using an ad of my music/music video for Instagram specifically? Once they are a follower, I then want to send my audience to Spotify. Thank you!
In that case I'd probably use Traffic - I have a tutorial on how to instagram followers with ads so I'd recommend checking that out - you can find it on my channel.
Hi Ben I have a question, I have an app however Because apple doesn’t allow you to tell people in the app that your products are only sold on the web I wanted to send them to the website first (because apple takes 30%), I was wondering will it affect my campaign if I don’t do app installs and instead send people the the website where I then promote the app, what do you think? Or should I go for conversion’s in terms of sign ups instead? Thank you
@@BenHeath Hi Ben thanks for replying I actually stumbled on your app video just after this one and it was great! I hope to work with you and your team one day!
