    Nice run down 🙂
    Do the shelves in the top cabinet lift out if needed? Any idea if you can get a 5l oil container into them?
    How hard do you think it would be to bolt a bench vise to it?

    • @Homeonthetools
      @Homeonthetools  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hey mate, yes to the shelves lift out, yes to the 5l oil container and yes to the bench vise, there is about 1 inch or so from the inside of the top draw to the underside of the bench for you to get bolts through, hope this helps

    Hey mate thanks for the vid, looks decent.
    I'm toying with getting one of these put can't decide on which configuration to go for 🤔
    Couple if questions if you don't mind?
    Do you find the height of this bench is workable? I think I saw the specs say 750cm in height but this seems a little low (I'm not tall either at 1m 78cm).
    Secondly do you find the width of the bench to be adequate to work at, especially with the overhead storage in place? I'd like to have the extra storage but a wondering if it would impact the workability too much.
    Primarily looking to store all my tools and work motorbike occasional wood work perhaps.
    Cheers

      Hey mate
      The unit is a ripper, well built and great for tool storage / organisation
      As far as the height goes the overheads are a little low however set back a bit, (haven’t banged by head yet), I usually sit on a bar stool at the bench and do some work with a router jig etc on it however far from my main workbench more of a space to tinker
      All in all I would buy again as I use it pretty much every day
      Hope this helps

    Great Vid. I have just purchased the black one and was scouring their site for packaging/transport dimensions.
    For transporting, was it boxed in such a way that the overheads were on top of the base? Trying to work out if it will fit on my tray top.
    Cheers.

      @Homeonthetools  4 месяца назад

      Hey mate mine was boxed with the overheads on top of the base, I needed a trailer to pick it up as mine was on a pallet and wouldn’t fit in a Ute tray

      @@Homeonthetools Thanks. I've got a tray top with no sides, so should be all sweet. Was only concerned about height, but will be all good now. Cheers.

    I'm looking at getting one of these myself. Can the drawers come out/off the runners to reduce some of the weight?
    Curious as I need to get it down 15 stairs in to my workspace and I had to do that with my last tooley trolley.

    • @Homeonthetools
      @Homeonthetools  Год назад

      Hey mate, yep standard tabs to press and the drawers slide off the runners, heavy bugger though, good luck

    If I wanted to mount a vice to the bench, is there space between the top row of drawers and the bottom of the bench top to attach nuts to bolts coming through the top?

    • @Homeonthetools
      @Homeonthetools  Год назад

      Hey mate there is about a inch cavity between the top draw and the bench top so if you get the bolt length right you will be fine

    • @Homeonthetools
      @Homeonthetools  5 месяцев назад

      Hey mate, the bench has held up really well, only compliant is you can fit charging packs through the cable management in the back which I believe the new models have corrected, would buy again for sure

      @@Homeonthetools thank you for the follow up. In the United States it looks like this is sold by Costco under the name Trinity Pro. It's reasonably priced for how big it is. I see your model has the top hutch with flip open doors. Some are sold without it.

    How do you reckon it compares with the Bunnings Ultimate 72"? They look like the same unit from the same manufacturer but different price

    • @Homeonthetools
      @Homeonthetools  Год назад

      Hey mate, yeah I’ve checked them out in Bunnings, they are the same unit, price from memory was pretty much the same for the base unit could be cheaper with powerpass, not sure about the overhead cabinets in Bunnings I’ve only seen bases

    • @rohaantan

      @Homeonthetools Good point, i dont think they have the top cabinet options. Yeah, I'm thinking I'll go for it with a powerpass.
      Are you still happy with them having used it for a while now?

    Hello , any update on opinions on the toolbox

    • @Homeonthetools
      @Homeonthetools  6 месяцев назад

      Hi, great bit of kit and would still recommend, I see they have updated the power cord management on the newer version as it is a bit of a pain running power leads through to the bench especially if you have charging packs with the blocky plugs if that make sense but other than that had no issues what so ever 👍🏻

      Hey Peter, so far so good, all the doors and draws are smooth, I have it fully loaded with tools and it seems well sturdy, my only complaint and it is only minor is the the holes in the backboard are too small to pass through my battery charger packs for my power tools, would still recommend for the price and build quality
