I’m a junior in highschool and something about these full grown adults admitting that they haven’t done math in 10 years is really comforting
I mean, it's important to realize these are content creators. These guys are one of the few in society that don't actually use math everyday
Honestly the stuff you do in middle school where you learn to add and subtract stuff and keep an approximate total in your head is WAY more important.
@@thx4chrckingin they use math more than the average person. They have to file their taxes themselves. Write spreadsheets on their "business" expenses and write offs. Then do the math to find their income tax, and pay their taxes themselves. They also all probably have accountants that do that now though lmao. Either way you'll still use less math at most W2s because your taxes are filled for you.

Currently learning Spanish in high school. I think I would of of course immediately assumed it was Spanish but after a deeper look I would question if it's words I haven't seen, or Portuguese

SATs still have essays, you can just choose to take them without it. I took 3 SATs within the last 5 years

You have to get pretty damn lucky to get into a good job though. And that doesn't just mean becoming a youtuber, I mean any good job whatsoever.

@@kingacrisius Not really, many decent jobs have nothing to do with college, and in recent years some are starting to accept high school graduates and not college only. College isn’t the only path to take!
Vocational schools are a thing, but your options are definitely more limited if you don’t get anything. It’s possible, certainly, but both placement and advancement are more difficult (many places have limits you can reach with whatever degree you have), and you’re definitely competing with people who are using the connections and rec letters they got from college (as well as the skills and knowledge and experience and internships and awards that often are made more available at colleges) to get ahead. And going away from home just teaches good management skills regardless of what you’re doing. It’s expensive, sure, but it’s a great resource to get ahead of you use it, and a great way to make sure you don’t fall behind.

I had the same thought, but for the sole reason that Jacob is just a naturally lucky person.
I love that Purplecliffe said he got a 100 on the SAT, which I think is literally IMPOSSIBLE to get. If I recall correctly when I took it the lowest you could get was 200 in each section, meaning you'd get a MINIMUM of 600 points
If someone gave me a SAT test and told me to do it again, I'm guessing the answers.

When I graduated high school, as my valedictorian, who got a perfect SAT score, went up to give a speech, someone behind me muttered to their friend, "I heard she got a 100 on the SAT". I think about that a lot.
