This episode was too much for me. When I saw Jasper I swear that I paused,went to the kitchen drink some water,lay in my bed and started to think about life and stuff.Then,I returned to my PC and pressed to play,some seconds later when Jasper said she want to fuse again, I paused it again and started a "normal" questionary to myself about fusion and stuff and then I watched the rest of the episode. I didn't know that Jasper would come, I wasn't mentally prepared like I was in the "Monster Reunion".
And also at the behind of all this, jasper didn’t force fuse with lapis, she asked her it was a yes or no option, she didn’t have to drag her into the ocean and lie to her,and say it was all her fault. I understand jasper being like that but lapis was honestly the monster for lying to jasper when she was asked to fuss not forced like the gem shards

Jasper was wrong to want to go back being Malachite, BUT Lapis was wrong to take out all of her anger (of being trapped in the mirror, of being questioned on Homeworld and the ship) on Jasper. If she had wanted only to help Steven, she could have just drowned Jasper with the ocean after Jailbreak. But she basically tortured Jasper in Malachite. So... yeah.

No, it doesn't. Fusion stands for a LOT of things on this show, not just sex and rape. It's not a one-way ticket, bob. I mean, think about it. Does that mean that every time Garnet and Pearl and Amethyst fuse, that means they're all in love with each other? No. It's an intimate action, sure, but "intimate" does not equal "sexual" or "romantic". Just analyze the context in which fusion is talked about, and you can understand what it's symbolizing in that immediate context. Like in this one, in which this forced fusion was a metaphor of a forced toxic relationship, in which one or both people force the other one to stay, either through force (Lapis) or through emotional manipulation (Jasper). Which happens a lot in real life. It's not about sex in this context.
