the reason Jasper flinched and got knocked back on amethyst's first attack is because Jasper is a quartz and quartz soldiers are always a little afraid of whips because often the gem in charge of dealing with the quartz's have whips and use them as a way to discipline them. even to a quartz who has never had the whip used on them has that small fear of it.
Jasper was comparing them because every Quartz is suppose to be big soldiers, like Rose and Jaspar.

I dont know why people were shocked. The beta kindergarten is on Earth, Jasper came from the Beta Kindergarten, Earth was Pink Diamonds Coloney.

I think that TV with the static was supposed to represent Lapis’s time in the mirror. It had the truck’s rearview mirrors attached to it and the TV was stuck looping “I just feel trapped” over and over again.

I have a theory. The diamond all have specific and variety of gems assigned to them to complete the diamonds "job". Yellow diamond is assigned technical, technology specific gems since Yellow diamond is the technology and data diamond as shown in "message received" and like Peridot said she was made for her and Jaspar said here all gems are made for a certain diamonds purpose if you don't fit into that purpose you are considered useless. Blue diamond has worker gems such as Bismuth to build colonies and such, from what we know Blue diamond's quart were the first home world gems to land on earth before the war. Blue diamond has gems like Sapphire to see into the future to see if any casualties will happen while in construction and ect. Pink diamond was maybe (I'm not sure about this one) the diamond that created quarts or maybe all solider gems that were made on earth but ever since pink diamond was gone her quartz soldiers were assigned under other diamonds as extendable soliders.
So...it seems everyone's theories were right.
Not only did Jasper get corrupted and poofed. But it seems that Steven CAN fuse with the Gems and Rose is most definitely not Pink Diamond.
Now, all we have to do is wait and see if Steven succeeds in helping Jasper and bring her onto the team.
Also...what sort of names should we think of? You know; when Steven eventually fuses with Garnet, Pearl, Peri and Lapis

Well my theory is that when a rose quartz fuses with a normal gem it will be somekind of quartz because when pearl and rose fused it was rainbow quartz. Also I actually felt bad for Jasper in this episode.

When I saw Smoky Quartz I acted like a fish out of water and began just flopping around crazily on my bed while squealing very loudly uncontrollably.
Lapis showing off her meep morps is me explaining my art projects when I was in college.
The tutors always wanted detailed descriptions of what made me do something in my projects but my response would be something like 'I thought it'd look nice' or just some really bare-bones literal explanation.

The way you cut your videos is awesome since you make it obvious about the build ups for jokes without playing the whole clip and show your minimal reactions to less interesting parts sped up and show what you're talking about with clips. That's good editing.

Jasper came out of the ground the moment pink dimand was shattered. That's why jasper is so mad about rose quarts
So I started watching Steven Universe after A Single Pale Rose (I think) so I already knew about the Pink Diamond twist. But I was watching this and realized how much information that is to take in in Earthlings. Jasper is getting corrupted, Steven can't heal her, then all of a sudden there's Pink Diamond and Rose did something to Pink Diamond, then Jasper becomes fully corrupted and Peridot, in a desperate attempt to stop Steven from getting hurt more, stabs corrupted Jasper with a metal bar, reducing her to only her gem, then Amethyst says "come here, sis" as she's bubbling her and putting her in the temple and holy crap the Pink Diamond twist in A Single Pale Rose is making Jasper's corruption scene blow my mind
Can we talk about how SU is putting the whole OITNB cast into the show
