Working on a piece of art that has chains and I kinda did it similar to yours. All I did was use a line for the path and I made the chain links circles.
I'll have to try this method out later.

Hey David, hope this meets you well. I've learned so much from you throughout the years, but there's one thing I'm struggling a lot lately, I hope maybe you could explain it best, your gesture tutorial is the best one I've ever watched. My struggles have to do with two or more characters interacting in a natural manner, such as grappling or two lover embracing each other, it's so hard to not make this stiff...
